Oh BOY!! Norman just bought yet another load of guitars that he will price out of the reach of all but the rich elite who use them as status symbols. I'm so HAPPY for Norman, who's been pulling this stuff for decades. How GREAT.
Welcome to Norms Drool channel, where I like to come and drool on my keyboard stare at the screen with the mouth open and head slightly cocked to one side, just dreaming about owing one of these vintage masterpieces. Thanks Norm for the damp keyboard.Carry on flashing guitar porn!
That blonde Telecaster has the old style wiring. If you ease the switch into the 2nd position, you get both PUPS running ... James Burton's was wired out of phase. You can get a lot of neat sounds with that switch without having to touch the tone knob. That cherry sunburst, maple board Stratocaster combination had not been seen since 1958 and people were very excited about this in the early '70s.
That Tele just had me hanging to see you lift the lid on it Thanks Norman for the tour on the latest Can begin to describe the feeling on those gibsons Incredible finds
My first electric was a mid-60's ES-335 12-string. I bought it at Richard's Guitar on July 3, 1976 for $300. I played that guitar for years as my main axe. I bought it with 6 strings and I never put 12 strings on it. The nut is a crazy short 1-9/16". I still play the guitar though today it's part of a larger collection. BTW, I also have another Kalamazoo electric - an H575 (an ES-175 style gitfiddle) from Heritage, the guys at 225 Parsons, the old Gibson factory. Heritage makes a great guitar too.
I too have one, purchased for $250 in 1977. It was also strung as a 6-string and has remained so to this day. Mine was born as a sunburst, but a previous owner sanded it down and brushed on a clear finish. The summer of '78, I sanded that off and sprayed it with gloss poly, but must have put the 2nd coat on too soon so it's matte. Original finish on the neck, headstock and sides though.
Man Norm, you must've needed to restock since Bonamassa bought the entire last load you trucked in. So they went from storage in Texas to storage in L.A. Might as well call it the "Look what i found for Bonnamassa's collection part 7". He'll be there within the hour with his checkbook.
Daaaaang!! My Brother’s 3 may be there. Dad helped start a great guitarist with Skills and Collections. 30 yrs later MS & Mtg made him pick 3 beauts. And he tested up. **Great Find ✨🌟⚡️⚡️
I still have my fathers 1969 (oct)strat. It's all original including all 5 springs and the ashtray. Only thing I've done to it is a new nut and Lindy Fralin did the pick-up rewinds. Also have the silver face Princeton amp. Sadly my children don't care about such things so will someday sale it I guess. The guitar I've always wanted but never had is a Gipson Hummingbird. Daddy had a Lyle hummingbird and that was the first guitar I learned to play on.
Agreed. Its great that he's showing them off and documenting them but he is destroying the market more than likely. Oh well. Modern guitars are great regardless.
@TheQuarterback:OutofthePocket He bought a truck load from the Arlington guitar show l was just at. They went thru there on friday and cherry picked everything. Jimmy Wallace is my old friend so l know the game. lm just saying these people w/ endless bank get these guitars before the players can and they have been since the 70s. Its inflated the price of all guitars. l grew up down the street from Charleys guitars in Dallas. lve played 50s models since l was a kid. Not all of them are even good guitars but the marketing of them has been epic.
Mwyatt222, you act like there aren't enough guitars in the world at affordable prices for players. I will assure you, the affordable guitar market is flooded with options. I would also go so far as to say some cheap guitars are pretty damn good. So there is no need for your complaint over "too many" expensive collector guitars. There's plenty at the other end of the spectrum also.
I really was thinking vintage guitars were not to be found at the pawn shop or other stores At a good price anyways These internet days so much info is out there But I found a mint w original case Unmolested only finish checking 65 Gibson Melody Maker 2 pick up model No breaks..nothing 599 plus tax I couldn't believe it Great guitars Norm
I have a 1974 20th anniversary Cream Gibson Les Paul custom near mint condition all original. First anniversary issue Gibson ever made in a Les Paul custom. Wonder what Norman would give me for it. What sucks is I live in PA and his shop is in CA. Be tough to take it in to show him.
that 335 twelve-string!!!!! unreal. I'll tell my kid his university plans are CHANGED. haha. coming in later today! (poor kid--thought he was headed for an Ivy!).
All lovely guitars. The nerd in me says that Hendrix died in Sept 1970, so calling a '71 Strat Hendrix era is stretching it a bit. I've got a May '71 hardtail Strat that came, used, from the USA and was once converted and flipped for LH use (nut slots filed accordingly and front strap button repositioned on heal). It was well beat up when I bought it in the early 80's for £250, so it was well gigged (usually a good sign). It's very light at 7lbs and still pays/sounds super, although the original PU's have been replaced by Jim Cairns PU's. He made them for Chris Rea for a while. I've still got the originals but the middle one needs a rewind. I've also got a '71 Tele that was blond with a rosewood board (quite rare for '71) but was given an amateur black body finish some year ago. It actually looks quite cool, with the black worn through to the blond in the right paces. Apart from that it seems original, although the guard is severely gnawed around the truss rod access area. I don't know why I'm typing all this really but somebody might be interested?
Maybe people are realizing old guitars aren't worth what they think and are making profits now while they can sell them off. Many dont care about vintage now...I dont. Give me a 150 dollar guitar they play and sound just as good now then the expensive money suckers.
How does he do it? Jeez he just keeps on finding the finest examples of these lost treasures.
An eye for quality like no other....for decades now
This man knows his shit!!
I have a rare 2018 Squire Bullet for sale.
It's rare that it was bought and only played by me.
Beautiful guitars! Thanks for showing them. I want to go to Norm's and buy me some history and quality.

Norman knows his stuff 🎸🎸 love to hear them played

Incredible finds
Jen is an excellent focus puller! Especially at Norm’s fast pace.
Thanks, Norm. Cool stuff.
It's hard to find one guitar for me and this guy comes across all of these jewels.

Norm’s is the best ! A must see if your in the area!🎸🎸
Thanks for showing us all of your amazing guitars. I learn alot about guitar history watching you. And Lemmo is a great guitar player!
Thank you Norman, just thank you.
I feel like Norm has touched and probably sold over half of every Tele Fender made in the 50’s;) Happy Holidays Norms Crew!!
All beauties 🎸🎸🎸
Amazing treasures.

He might have to fight John 5 for those Teles.
Not sure about that. Being unable to tour, Joe’s funds might be running a bit low. Might give and ordinary guy a chance to purchase something special.

Great. more guitars that will be priced out of the realm of players and onto the guitar hangers on the walls of dentist offices .

effin dentists of blues lawyers / lawyers of blues dentists

People like you are why people think guitar players are snobs.

Love the hummingbird and Dove plus wide neck keeps my hand from cramping up.. my funcle has a couple
Hummingbird yes the hummingbird grew up with the rosewood and the sound is phenomenal
Oh that LP!! Damn
very cool guitar
Cool… I think I used to own that George Gobel Gibson!
Norm is a national treasure- God bless you man:)
Dear Santa…
@2:10 this 12 string has to get a GOTD episode ! Thank thing is wild
The deluxe telecaster sunburst!! How much???!
that 335 twelve-string!!!!! unreal. I'll tell my kid his university plans are CHANGED. haha. coming in later today! (poor kid--thought he was headed for an Ivy!).
NORMS!!!! LEMMO!!! YEAH!!!
Thanks man
Great guitars- thanks Norm. But isn't a maple Hummingbird just a Dove with a Hummingbird pick guard?
Had a 71 Super 400..wish I still had it
how can a 71 strat be a Hendrix era when he died in 1970 haha. Still, lovely guitars
the problem is that i want them all, but i can't even afford one......................
I want that Spanish cutaway electric you showed at the very start. Too bad i cant afford it lol
Is the 71 Strat still available? Can’t find it on the site. Thanks!
Looks like Robben Ford tele
7:10 that's a 100$ discount right there, Norm hehe
Lol i cringed when i saw that haha
I'd love to see a video on the 12 string
That George Gobel model has a curved top ! Nice !!
Norm, I've never seen a Hummingbird Maple back. I'm guessing much brighter and also projects volume a lot more?
Probably an option at the time, the sides are maple too, it's basically a Dove, cool guitar but won't sound like a (60's Keith) Hummingbird.
WHATS THE ORANGE GIBSON LABEL MEAN ? YOU MENTION THE COLORS OF LABELS , INTERESTED WHAT THE SIGNIFICANCE ? I HAVE 68 HUMMINGBIRD ORANGE LABEL ?
Your governor says wear your mask . Biden likes those high price's because it makes us soo fuken happy ! Yeah
How do you find all of these GUITARS at one time? How do you price them? I.
Norm got deep pockets.
I thought the 73 tele custom had a FULL Field single coil, not a humbucking?
price on tele?
Joe Bonamassa probably already bidding on these. At least they go to someone who appreciates them.
I had a 68 Tele for sale but you never got back to me

But Hendrix was All Over the Airwaves and Totally in Everyone's Consciousness!!🎵🎶🎵
I did??? SWEET!
This should just be called the Bonamassa guitar network... you're just his private stock finder, at this point.
8:30 bubble wrap get back
I didn't see 1 Gibson chainsaw case on the floor.... talk about rare.
nice guitars - please improve the filming
Maybe people are realizing old guitars aren't worth what they think and are making profits now while they can sell them off. Many dont care about vintage now...I dont. Give me a 150 dollar guitar they play and sound just as good now then the expensive money suckers.
Maybe Norm could pay his employee a bit more money so he can afford a real shirt.
Can' t stand old men wearing their undershirt in a public store.
All I can think of when I see that guy in these videos is…body odour.
It's a vintage 1956 Penman's undershirt made from Brazilian cottonwood.
So sad to so many old guitars in near perfect condition. Never fulfilled the purpose they where made for.
"Very similar to Keith Richards guitar" except it's not black, not a 75 and not wired the same...bring back Mark.
All the while I just wanted to buy one guitar from him and he ignores all my emails and phone calls
Norm had to pay too much LOL - that means if you want it - you will gauged out the ass just like usual - unless your Bon Jovie or JOE B. LOL
first axe-sup4 71 won't even play in tune. wat-a-gyp. needs compensated bridge & compensated nut.
Sorry. Two pieces of wood and some wire are not worth $30,000.
Sure, and maybe a purse shouldn't cost $7,000. But that doesn't stop Gucci
It's all priced too high, as long as you keep getting taken, the longer we all will. That's why I buy far better old Japanese guitars
