I would love to see you react to the folklore love triangle: cardigan, betty and august. 3 different songs from 3 different caracters's perspective. These songs truly show taylor's clever lyricism.
After I found out that she hires broadway producers to help her create her concerts it has made a lot of sense that her shows are so good. She clearly has a vision and knows who to hire to make it come true. There aren't many artists that I wish to see live but she definitely is one of them.
the choreographers she's had.... whew big names in the industry. i love tyce diorio and mandy moore and i can definitely see their style in these shows
Don't Blame Me is like the quintessence of two parts of Reputation for me. The dark and heavy "no explanation, just reputation" vibe and the other light side about the love of her life
She also has bars, man. "You're talkin' shit for the hell of it. Addicted to betrayal but you're relevant. You're terrified to look down. Cause if you dared, you'd see the glare of everyone you burned just to get there." "If boys will be boys then where are the wise men?" 🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely love the breakdowns that you do of Taylor songs. You actually stop the song and then say the lyric and then you tell us what it means. Obviously you're a musician so you have an ear for all of this. I didn't realize I was missing out on so much even though I know the songs. You're giving us a deep dive into her lyrics and I think it's just amazing how you do it
I am a Kelce fan and found her music because of him. 😂 Even saw the Eras movie and she blew my mind! Not my genre, but, she pulls it off! And, she is just so lovely, inside and out.
When you say ‘not my genre’ ummmmm she explores quite a few of them 😆 country? Cheesy pop? Folk? EDM? Pop rock? Hence the Eras tour goes on a bit of journey 😅 through the 11 albums
The comparisons you make in your breakdowns adds to everything you do. Things i would have never thought of. Poison ivy and Daisy? Where did that come from, and so perfectly paired! Dang dude! Love it..
I love how closely you follow the lyrics and how you find duplicate meanings behind them. Her use of metaphors is unlike anyone else, and a lot of times, the duplicate meanings go unnoticed and unappreciated. I agree with you and I think live Taylor is the best Taylor -- whether it's a song like this or an intimate performance, she's electric.
When you are standing there live in the snake pit, with her singing down to you, looking you directly in the eyes and smiling, it is a pretty magical moment. Her voice sounds at least as good, if not better, live. I've been lucky enough to be in that situation, with her standing right in front of me when she hit that first belt after standing with outstretched arms. I was also lucky enough for her to stop a few times throughout the rest of the concert and actually sing down to me. (She did this same thing at her RED and 1989 tours, where I was in the pit, along with actually giving me a hug during her Speak Now tour.) I've never understood how people can say they hate someone, like they do with artists in general. If you don't like someone's music, that's perfectly fine, don't listen to them. Taylor grew on me, as I'm not a big fan of (most) country, but even though she was basically country during Speak Now, after going to her concert and seeing how genuine and sweet she was, I really started to understand and appreciate her, her music and her writing, and recognized that she was going to be huge. RED was a huge departure for her and was the birth of the cross-over, where she merged multiple genres together. 1989 was once again a bit of a shift, while still retaining pieces of where she came from. Reputation was the culmination and release of pent-up emotions, taking everything she had learned and creating a new sound that surprised, while still remained true to herself. I've seen that evolution live on stage through 4 distinctly different 'eras' and it has been an incredible ride!
I'm not gonna lie. Wasn't a fan. Really did not like her. For some reason I listened to all her music a few weeks ago and I'm changed. Not gonna call my self a swifty or anything but she sure has a way with words and is so creative! So I started thinking....sure she's no Whitney but Madonna is an icon and she doesn't have a huge range. Brittney too. Sure we can say they can't sing but a majority of us couldnt make make their songs sound like they do. They can sing it's just everyone is different. Plus I have respect. She's been going years. Straight dedication. No meltdowns, alcoholsm or drug addictions like so many others have in the past.
@@krystalmercedes3315 I'm not a swifty either. But I know good music and lyrics when i hear them. Heard her for the first time many years ago when she still sang country. Her song Back to December is really great. So yeah, i really like her.
No other artist puts their vocals out there like Taylor does when she sings live. If she's wrong, you hear it, if she misses a note, you hear it. She does not hide behind her band, she does not hide behind her backup vocals. I think that's what is unique about her, as much as her music is about her lyrics, her concerts sell her vocals. You don't come to a Taylor concert to hear her band, or her backup vocals, you come to hear her. And you do, you really do. She refuses to hide what makes her music, her music.
I love that you get her. A lot of guys really don’t listen. You’re a listener. That’s such an awesome quality. The fact that you’re not closed minded is such a plus.
Great reaction! Just before the choral section, our callback is, "Take us to church, Taylor!" and she does!!! This is one of my fave songs. Check out her performance from The Eras Tour film where she does an option up that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
Her concert blew me out of my universe - I was a deadhead, Tom petty, Dylan, Metallica, U2, Pixes, Ramones, the Stones all many times, often in the first 10 rows. Last May in Foxboro she played for four hours in the pouring rain (Phoebe opened) and we were in the high bleachers and it was still the very best concert I have ever been to. For real.
She said at the beginning of her tour that any money she made from her tours she would save for the next tour - so the tour following this is Eras so imagine what is going to follow Eras. She also said the same about her music videos, which explains why each album her videos have gotten progressively much more elaborate and expensive to produce. Not that she’s hurting for money in any way shape or form
Please listen to So Long London from Tortured Poets department. It’s her final farewell to this same boyfriend, Joe. Her heartbeat is on that one too and it’s so beautiful.
She has had the same band, (some) dancers, and back-up vocalist for over 10 years. Her band goes everywhere she plays. Live band. Watch her mv for "End Game" with Future and Ed Sheeran.
Please keep doing Taylor. I’ve been watching you for years and I absolutely love that you have dove into her music and appreciate the talent she has. Love you Knox. Keep up the great work man. It’s paying off
Hahahaha I laughed SOOO hARD when you told us you would not be suprised if you saw dragons flying in there and I remember that huuuuuuuge af snake she had popping up above her stage on one point of her rep concert tour!! You gotta check it out, dude! Sending you lots of love - you're awesome!
This was hands down, the best concert I’ve ever seen. It’s super high caliber and never a dull moment% it was weird knowing there were over 70,000 people in that stadium. ❤
am i the only one that’s a little sad that the video he watched flipped the footage of the two choruses so she didn’t actually fall to her knees after “i’d beg you on my knees to stay”? also that it panned away from taylor when she spread her arms for the ‘take us to church’ part
It's a shame they had to edit this video for copyright reasons (at least I think that's what they did). The original is better because she falls to her knees for the second chorus, right as she says "i'll beg you on my knees to stay". It's so good. But they did a brilliant job at editing this anyway to keep it on youtube. Thank you for making these reaction videos, they're awesome 😊
You're right. I watched the Netflix video of the tour so many times, and I love when she falls to her knees. It's a shame that Netflix will not have it available anymore after December 30. She's re re recording Reputation sometime next year, but the documentary will still be owed by Shamrock Capital which is the group that bought Taylor's music from Scooter Braun.
I was at this stadium tour at the metlife center in jersey. I felt those flames on the stage from my seat. Lololol. Her reputation tour is on netflix... but each live show had different variations of which mash up songs she does. For the swifties she sees all the requests she gets for every city she visits for her concerts. Its sooooooooo different live. You should experience it. Reputation spoke out to me the most in terms of her albums.
So so good the vocal breakdown is pure chills everytime. Taylor's vocals are so incredible. Great reaction again, love how you pay attention to the lyrics.
I watch a lot of these and I've come to decide that your reaction videos are probably my favorite cause you pick up on every little detail and it's just nice to hear someone so well-versed in music appreciate Taylor
It would be awesome to have you do the whole Reputation tour video on Patreon. I think you would love it, as it's got all of this energy the whole way through. Great job as always.
Knox….i just love you! You are so good at what you do. Lately I’ve been going down the TS rabbit hole she is just fantastic. Writing & singing…..beautiful! I too love that guitar! ❤️❤️❤️
I never thought about the poison ivy and correlation to villian to Daisy from Great Gatsby but it's so on point considering in This is why we can't have nice things it also references The Great Gatsby on the same album
God I love this song. Thanks for doing your TS reactions, I'm really enjoying your breakdowns and perspective on her lyrics. Totally agree about her live. You should check out We Are Never Getting Back Together from her 1989 tour. She turns it into a rock track.
The religious aspect to this song - that feel you get from the song reminds me of a Tent Revival feel. It does not strike me as like Church in mainstream and subdued. It has that emotional undercurrent that you see in Revivals. That is what really sets this song into the stratosphere. Giving it that powerful drive and emotion.
Taylor is for sure a songwriter who sings, rather than a singer who writes her own songs. She's both, obviously, but she's definitely a songwriter before anything else. Her lyrics matter to her in a way you don't really hear with a lot of other performers.
Echoing the other commenters recommending her Folklore and Evermore albums! I first listened to them when I was going through a nasty divorce and the depth of her lyrics helped me to somehow feel my feelings but not go further down towards depression. Just feel it and move forward. The style of music is completely different from Reputation but the songs are really incredible.

Wouldve couldve shouldve. Best song ever. Also best shots taken at john mayer since dear john when she was only 19.
Please react to Vigilante Shit (Live from the Eras Tour)!
This song is absolutely our “take us to church” song 😂
IKR 😭
Haha.. NICE.. IFYKYK.... My daughter screamed that at her show 😂😂😂
Well, it sounds like a gospel... amen
I remember when I see this live omg I can’t even stop watching over and over 😂💚
She is my lord and savior so this tracks. ❤
I love when rappers show love and appreciation for Taylor Swift and not just hate and insults
And metal heads, which I am one... Rob Zombie, Taylor, and Lady A are basically my fav artist. There's very few that come close to that level for me.
Wasn't either Drake or Kendrick put in a diss track that "Taylor Swift is still the biggest gangster" hahahahahahaha
And she is!!!!
“I wouldn’t be surprised if a dragon leapt out behind the stage”
*karyn patiently waiting behind the stage* 🐍🐍

Best intro to a Taylor song
"Taylor Swift is a Princess and a Warrior" no truer words have been spoken about our Queen 👑 She is amazingly talented
Yeah i agreee👍
Don't Blame Me is like the quintessence of two parts of Reputation for me. The dark and heavy "no explanation, just reputation" vibe and the other light side about the love of her life
She also has bars, man. "You're talkin' shit for the hell of it. Addicted to betrayal but you're relevant. You're terrified to look down. Cause if you dared, you'd see the glare of everyone you burned just to get there."
"If boys will be boys then where are the wise men?" 🔥🔥🔥
Coz karma is her boyfriend 😌

“i wouldn’t be surprised if if a dragon came from behind the stage” sooooo should we tell him about the giant snake?

Her live performance of Look What You Made Me Do is amazing as well.
Never thought of the daisy reference being a Daisy in Gatsby reference but she does reference Gatsby in other songs by name. So maybe!
I think I had this and all of Folklore on repeat while reading Gatsby for class this year...its so Daisy coded its insane
The comparisons you make in your breakdowns adds to everything you do. Things i would have never thought of. Poison ivy and Daisy? Where did that come from, and so perfectly paired! Dang dude! Love it..
She references The Great Gatsby a few times across 1989 and Reputation, too, so it’s a really good fit/find!
Knox is the break down GOAT 👍🏻
I can’t wait for you to check out Champagne Problems from her Evermore album. It’s one of her best lyrics ever
NO ONE DOES BREAKDOWNS LIKE YOU. NOT ON RUclips, OR ANY OTHER SOCIAL SITE. YOU ARE LITERALLY THE BEST!!! Us Swifties love you bro !!
It’s so cool to have you break these down; she really puts a lot of thought and tells such interwoven stories with her lyrics. :) love what you do!
I love how closely you follow the lyrics and how you find duplicate meanings behind them. I love your smart reaction KH❤
Yes finally.... I've been searching knox hill Taylor reaction all day
The religious aspect to this song - that feel you get from the song reminds me of a Tent Revival feel.
It does not strike me as like Church in mainstream and subdued.
It has that emotional undercurrent that you see in Revivals.
That is what really sets this song into the stratosphere. Giving it that powerful drive and emotion.
Yayyy! I've been hoping for this one!
if you like the guitar here...try We Are Never Getting Back Together...Live 1989 Tour Rock Version...
One of her best!!!
She can write and sing beautifuly. People think singing is only about hitting high notes… Listen do Safe and Sound and Exile, she sounds AMAZING!!
Taylor is for sure a songwriter who sings, rather than a singer who writes her own songs.
She's both, obviously, but she's definitely a songwriter before anything else. Her lyrics matter to her in a way you don't really hear with a lot of other performers.
hearing that high note on the Eras Tour was always just amazing,no matter how many live streams I watched
YOU’VE GOTTA REACT TO HER 1989 TOUR “SHAKE IT OFF”! The guitars there are SO GOOD!
All your Taylor insights aregreat
Dont know why she has such haters. I am not into pop, but, this gal is so talented!
her reputation concert, is what made me fall in love with taylor. every movement is theater, shes is magical. period
Reputation is my favorite concert of hers. I just love the rep tracks live so much. Those instruments elevate the songs so much.
Knox ... love your literary references & intellectual insights threaded into the sincere appreciation for the lyrics, instrumental backing, & stage presence of TS. One of my favorite reactors ❤
I loved those guitars too! The energy was over the top and simply amazing!
Dot led me to you, you and your brain made me stay, but this?! A T.Swizzle reaction?! Pure joy! I'm off to catch 'em all!
You need to react to this song but during the eras tour bc her voice even matured from rep tour and it sounds soooo good during eras too
so excited for this!! 👏🏻
I'm loving your Taylor reactions. It would be amazing if you could start popping them in a playlist. 😬
you really should react to some of her songs from folklore and evermore albums, unmatched level of deep lyrics on those albums.
Yesssss!!!! My fav live performance!
Thank you so much Knox for this reaction! 😊
One of the very few artists that are by far better live than the studio versions, and its consistant.
Its one thing to sing, but add playing an instrument at the same time, the choreography and keep in mind shes doing 3.5hr shows in heels!!
I watch a guitar coach who is great by the way, he said one night he had to play in cowbow boots as opposed to his regular shoes, and it threw him off big time.
The fact she can do all 3 blows me away.
True talent!
I enjoy your Taylor reactions. Thank you.
Enjoy watching your reactions to her songs because you pay attention to her lyrics, musicality and productions. You are really a very good reactor,
Hi Knox, LIVE, GUITAR, stage presence, voice, TS spectacular performance...Peace🌷🌷☝️😌
FINALLY. THE REACTION IVE BEEN WAITING FOR !!!
Ren and Taylor on your channel, i don't need to go anywhere else for my reactions! You are the best Knox!!
Taylor has a very good walk on stage, as well She holds her head high and owns that runway. She is our National Treasure! I agree with everything you said. I just wanted to add confidence. Have a holly, Jolly everything! Celebrate the day!
LOL i've been waiting for this 😈😈😈
There’s a Madonna-Esque quality to this goth, costume, set, and visuals remind me of prayer, and church.
This song means so much to me and the guitars are crazy
You should react to her presentation of Don't Blame Me/Look What You Made Me Do on her newest tour called The Eras Tour
tHAT WAS GREAT LIVE
I'm a head banger through and through but love Taylor and she has my respect. A clever writer and puts on a cracking show👊👊👊
Anything from that concert honestly. I was there, the entire thing was absolutely epic❤❤❤
“I wouldn’t be surprised if a dragon leapt out of the stage” 👀 everyone who knows about karyn
Pleaseee react to “Out of the Woods” live at the Grammy museum as well as “The Archer” live from THE BBC lounge. I promise you won’t be disappointed! Those performances live rent free in my head 🤣
Multipurpose floral arrangement there....nice catch
Taylor Swift experimenting with _Gospel_ sounds insane, until you hear this song.
