Same with her backup singers. She has one new band member who plays a keyboard, I believe. Also, the song was written about her, and then a long-time boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. They broke up in early 2023. Reputation, Lover, Midnights, Folklore, and Evermore. He cowrote a few songs and won a Grammy with her.
Paul the guitarist and Amos her bassist have been with her since she was about 15 or so. A couple of the backup singers as well have been with her on multiple tours! She is very loyal to those who are loyal to her! I admire that about her very much
@@TrevenantNights I thot that's amt the truck drivers got -?? Surely she'd give her band more considering they perform with her for 3.5 every show (100+ shows alrdy & still counting.) She makes like 4 mil/show - everybody on stage should've got bigger bonuses imo.
@@LK-lz6lkshe gave out $55 mil in bonuses. Truck driver bonuses accounted for $5 mil of that. The amounts paid to band, singers, dancers, crew/techs was undisclosed, but that leaves $50 mil to be distributed. I’m sure they got a very handsome bonus, don’t worry.
Since you asked about her band, Yes, it is her band, she calles them "The Agency" and they are: AMOS - base, has been with her since the beginning, before she even headlined a tour PAUL - guitarr since the beginning, same as Amos MIKE - Banjo, guitarr, keybord & vocals- since before her first tour "Fearless" , joined around 2008 David - keybords, musical director since before her second tour "Speak Now", joined around 2010 Matt- drums since before her 3rd tour "Red", joined around 2012 3 of her backup vocalists, also called the "The starlights" have been with her before "RED" tour too, joined around 2012
She treats her band and backup singers well - like family. She pays them well and they respect her so they've been with her for almost all of her career
The way her band and back-up singer sing her praises if very telling of what kind of person she is. They all have nothing but wonderful things to say about Taylor. The crew as well. She is a billionaire who realizes that those who work for her contributed to her success and, as such, deserve to share in it.
I wasn't really a Taylor Swift fan until recently, but I think she's the best live performer on the planet. I would love to see one of her shows live and I'm an almost 50 year old man
I'm a 65 year old man, following her for the last 10 year, and I've been to the Eras tour and it was just unbelievable. I have never seen something like it and I have seen countless (big) artists on tour since the 70's. It leaves you in a state of shock and completely amazed as she delivers non stop for 3 hours and 15 minutes that you feel is too short, craving for more. And the crowd is just so much fun to be with. I took my daughter and now she's a swiftie like me !
This song was about her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. But Taylor has said herself that songs take on different meanings to her once they go out into the world. Also, yes - most of her band, her backup singers, and dancers have been with her for 17 years. As far as albums go, I think you'd probably enjoy Midnights or Reputation more than 1989 (a re-recording of her hit album from 2014). For live performances, I suggest a couple acoustic performances - Cornelia Street & Death By a Thousand Cuts Live in Paris. Another MUST-SEE is Vigilante Shit from the Eras Tour movie. Where is Jamie when we need her???. ;)
Her band is called The Agency & most have been with her since her first tour. The vocalists are called The Starlights & have been with her about a decade. The person who coordinates the massive amount of trucks had worked with her for the last 4 tours (Red, 1989, Rep & Eras) & I could go on. Taylor pays very well, over & above what the label will pay (including $55 million in bonuses to every single person that contributed to the US leg of the Eras Tour! The truckers received $100K hand delivered by Tays Dad with personal, handwritten notes from Taylor!) She inspires loyalty & is apparently awesome to work with & for & you won't find anything bad said about her by anyone who's worked with her, from her staff to other celebrities!
We Swifties struggle to keep up with Taylor's total slayage! She's the GOAT!!!. Taylor is her own muse and she's not afraid to follow wherever the spirit leads her. Genres fall at her feet. We're just going to have to accept that Taylor IS her own genre. It's not pop, not Country, not Rock anymore. It's Taylor Music. It's amazing that she can write songs in such a wide variety of styles and we still recognize it as Taylor Music. It's so distinctive. As Liz Rose said "No one but Taylor can write a Taylor Swift song."
It’s think it’s important to note that a lot of the songs on reputation are also written through the eyes of the media. The media says a lot of things about her, they’re not necessarily true but they directly affect her reputation. She holds too many grudges, she dates too many men, she plays with hearts, she’s obsessive, she airs too much dirty laundry… So while the songs are about her and her life, she is playing them up to be this crazed love monster that the media thinks she is.
What you saw was the re-recorded 1989, and now she owns the rights to it. The ones she has re-recorded are called Taylor's Versions, she has done 4 and has 2 more to go and then she will own the rights to her music.
This comment is in reference to him saying he saw a "remastered" 1989 album in the store. Im assuming the original poster was trying to educate them on the significance of "Taylors Version"@@thereallucyv
Band and backup singers have mostly been with her for a very long time. A few members for all 17/18 years. I think one of her biggest differentiators is that she seems to go full blown method actor with her different genres. Like she's done country, pure pop, pop with a rap/RnB influence, very folksy/indie, you name it. There are a ton of amazing artists out there. There are a lot of singer/songwriters out there. But she's one of the only ones I can think of who changes her sound and style so completely. She seems to really throw herself into the complete character of the tone of the album. Next: depends what you want to see. Live--I love Cornelia Street live from Paris. Or Death By a Thousand Cuts also from the Paris show. Just her and a guitar. Very in touch with the song and the crowd.
Taylor is so relatable, period. i am 48, married 25 years in a few weeks, and this song sums up my feelings for my husband. I am like twice her age, lol
Thank you for rolling it back when you stop the video. I was super frustrated with you when you stopped it, because so many reactors don't seem to realize the build they are pausing on is a horrible place to stop the video, then they go ahead and play it and it's ruined for everyone, because the momentum is lost. I had to realize that we all know this song, you don't, and you did pull it back a few seconds, so thank you. This is an amazing performance- the dress was beautiful, the crown was fire, Netflix knew what they were doing, and this was the last concert of the US leg. The editing was great as well. Era's is fire, as well, and she just announced her new album at the Grammy's, and we are expecting RepTV, maybe Tokyo? Maybe not, but that and Debut are surely done, she is just waiting...... The woman never rests. She is raising the GDP of the Superbowl- the advertisers are gearing their ads to the fanbase, and the sellers that are selling merch AT the Superbowl are gearing their merch to her as well. She is putting butts in seats that wouldn't be there otherwise at more than $10,000 a seat, and selling NFL merch, and concessions, and will donate to whatever else, just because she happens to be in Vegas.

She's had the same band since the beginning (some joined during the Fearless era in 2008, when she had her first tour). I do know that one of her guitarists, Paul Sidoti, has been with her since before debut, so about 20+ years now.
She’s been doing this since she was a little girl. I think that has a lot to do with why she’s so comfortable on stage and her band. Most of them have been with her since she was a kid.

Of all the songs on reputation, this is not the one I would have picked for a review. Every time the bassline drops on look what you made me do, my heart stops for a minute.
If you think this sold out stadium is something you should see her shows present day…. Her performing to 90,000+ people with 20,000 people screaming in the parking lot. Insane!! I was there!! Ears ringing. Voice gone.
Some members in her band have been with her since the beginning. The band and her back up singers are like family to her and have been with her forever.
Diggin yall! If chance compare this to her redo of this song on Eras Tour. It's even better IMO. And you can combine it with "Look what you made me do" that immediately follows it on Eras Tour clip. Then VIGILANTE SHIT live from it also. I am not fully a swifty...... Most of the songs from my playlist from Best albums 1989, Reputation, & Midnights. You will like them most IMO.

For something a bit different but just as brilliant, I recommend watching the music video for “The Man” and then watching the behind the scenes (there’s 3 BTS vids). I think y'all would really like this one :)
Voice gone.
Definitely spin 1989 (Taylor’s Version). She re-recorded it approx. a decade after it came out so she can own the masters. It’s a great pop album!
She has her own band !!!!!
Joe Jonas is who she is singing about !!!!!!
Slayyyyy Tay❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ 🫶 ❤️
When she recorded the reputation tour documentary she saying this song it’s on reputation so it’s gotta be Joe
yess pls check 1989 the remastered its a pop perfection
Re-recorded
Some members in her band have been with her since the beginning. The band and her back up singers are like family to her and have been with her forever.
lol she was talking about her most current ex he’s a British actor named Joe Alwyn
They dated for 6 years
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Diggin yall!
If chance compare this to her redo of this song on Eras Tour. It's even better IMO.
And you can combine it with "Look what you made me do" that immediately follows it on Eras Tour clip. Then VIGILANTE SHIT live from it also.
I am not fully a swifty...... Most of the songs from my playlist from Best albums 1989, Reputation, & Midnights. You will like them most IMO.
The song is rumored to be about her ex boyfriend Joe Alwyn, others believe that this song is about the media's perception of her.
OMG you SHOULD... 1989 is a pop bible. Deluxe version one please...
🔥🔥❤️❤️
Honestly, you should start with Midnights and go backwards, I enjoy that journey :)
She has had the same bad for the most part since she was a under 18 at least Paul the guy with the totally 80’s hair has been with her since she was like 16
Today? I'm on the bandwagon that her fans are now her 'drug' and the 'don't blame me' is her evolution into the other genres she's exploring.
Yo can yall get that Benzino Rap Elvis diss track to Em that dropped yesterday.
I did something bad on the reputation tour live is your next one! 🤯
We did it ✌️🍻
1❤
Try to stop stopping the music and not talk all the time lol
😂😂😂
You guys pause and talk too much!!!!😢
trash
Why?
Oh Tony, you seem really jealous. :/ I'm sorry to hear that, bud.
Agreed
Poor person who so desperately needs to hate something they don't actually have the balls to try. Feeling sorry for you that you're so small.
Then why are you here.
