That guy on the guitar is Paul Sidoti. He's been hers lead guitarist since 2007 (or 2008), a he is still with her today in 2024. Ther are few other people in her team (musicians, e.g. bassist Amos Heller, (2007) backup singers and dancers) who have been in her team since she was a teenager. And the guy who plays drums here is Matt Billigslea - in Taylor's band since 2011.
Yes. Her band is called "The Agency" and have been with her for a long time, they are: AMOS - Base, has been with her since the beginning, since before she even headlined a tour, joined in 2007 PAUL - Guitarr, vocals. SInce the same as Amos. MIKE - Banjo, guitarr, keyboards & vocals- since before her first tour FEARLESS, joined in 2008. DAVID - Keyboards, musical director, since before her second tour SPEAK NOW, joined in 2010. MATT- Drums, since before her 3rd tour RED MAX - Guitarr, keyboards, since before her 4th tour REPUTATION, Her backup vocalists are called the "Starlights" 3 of them : KAMILAH, MELANIE and ELIOTTE - has been with her since before her RED tour, joined around 2012. The fourth backup vocalist, JESLYN, joined before Reputation tour.
The guitarist is Paul Sidoti, who has been both her guitar teacher and band member back to effectively the beginning of her career. A large majority of her band, backup vocalists, and dancers, have all been with her over a decade. The more live stuff you watch, the more you'll start to recognize them. They are all insanely talented, and she clearly takes very good care of them. I mean, she paid Eras Tour truck drivers $100k bonuses, I can't imagine how much the performers got, but my guess is, enough that they aren't thinking of leaving anytime soon!
Joe Alwyn is her boyfriend from Reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights. John Mayer was Speak Now, Jake Gyllenhaal was Red, and Harry Styles 1989. Not counting the early years or in-between albums.
Did you know, taylor recently said at one of her concert stops, when she made the two sister albums (folklore & evermore) that she actually felt lonely when making those records????
@@laverneswartz That might taken out of context, after all, she was working with Jack, Aaron, and the other features. Plus, wasn't Joe around for part of the time? I guess compared to previous albums there was more activity and going places, so the norm had changed and so I supposed some loneliness was felt.
@@laverneswartz Most people felt lonely during covid lockdown. I know that I did. Since Taylor had a busy life and was used to being around a lot of people before lockdown, I'm sure that being insolated with just a few people would be lonely for her.
I would encourage you to just watch the whole Reputation Stadium Tour movie start to finish, whether you react to more songs from it or not. What an experience and what a performer.
Apparently this song is her response to being criticized for dating older guys and being called a love junkie and serial dater. Basically throwing back at the haters.
I think a good piece of advise when listening to a Taylor song is that if it sounds wild or unhinged or unhealthy, it is probably a satirical response to hos the media has portrayed her.
My 23 yo daughter has been a fan since 2007. She went the Era's concert at Levi Stadium. She was shocked that she actually cried like a baby. 3 1/2 hours felt like 15 minutes
Taylor was basically having fun with how the media, and others, like to portray her and her dating history. There may be some real life stuff in there, since she was dating Joe Alwyn at the time, and it seemed to be going really well.
I love the Reputation Stadium Tour. This was taped in 2018. One of my favorite songs! ❤ Please remember that all of her songs are NOT about real people, not autobiographical.
She spent 3.5 to 4 hours on a treadmill singing her songs as she ran. She did this until she could get through the 4 hours without being out of breathe.
She really does make it look so easy. She’s a fabulous performer. She’s honed her craft so well to be able to do 3.5 hours without any intermissions for 3-4 days in a row, then a few days off and then right back to it. I’m glad she has 2 months off before she goes on the European leg of the tour for the next few months. Back to Canada, then ending in the US in the beginning of December. Idk any performers who could have that full of a schedule and that long of a fully active concert. I really wish I could have gone. Watched it on Disney today. She put it on there for free (it used to be ($19.99 before today) and there were 6 acoustic tracks at the end. Just a fantastic artist! Love that you say thank you at the end of your videos. So nice of you. Take care!
Love watching reactions to this one, vocally it’s one of my favorites from this tour :) Longtime swiftie, I’m seeing a lot of comments saying it was a reaction to the media’s comments/perception of her but I’ve never actually seen that confirmed anywhere ever 🤷♀️ I was lucky enough to see the rep tour live on opening night and wow was it lifechanging ❤ oddly enough I never connected to this song until I saw it live - suddenly the dramatics and love is a drug cliché felt appropriate and epic within this scale. It’s now one of my favorites from the album :P thanks for reacting to Taylor
I don't think real love makes you feel crazy, but infatuation does and a lot of people mistake it for love. And it does feel exciting at the time, I suppose.
Taylor leaned into her 'reputation' on the Reputation tour, often exaggerating what the media says about her, like in this one. 'Blank space' is a fav because she just embodies all their BS in that song & video & it is awesome. LOL
I like this song for that heady honeymoon period at the start of a (usually too volatile) relationship. Like…it really captures a specific feeling at the start of a fresh, passionate relationship. Now, have any of those relationships gone the distance…? Well. Not for me. 😂 For me it’s more like Halsey sings in “Graveyard”-“It’s funny how the warning signs can feel like the butterflies.” I do better with people who make me feel comfortable and calm and content. That’s what I’ve got with my two partners now (one of 16 years, one of 10 years-we’re all three raising a kid together). Anyway, side note: Taylor had a cold during this performance. She had to blow her nose during the concert, actually.
@@judeless77 yes, he said Texas, but Texas is a very large state, and as someone who lived most of my life in Texas, I was clarifying where in “DFW” (a ginormous metropolitan area) the stadium was located. Dallas and Ft. Worth are commonly lumped together, but in reality they are 2 huge and completely different counties. Arlington is a suburb of Dallas, but a completely different city. 🙄

Thank you for that information. Her band and backup singers are amazing!
Also it speaks volumes on how good she treats her band and crew that people are still with her these many years later ❤️
They are literally family to Taylor. If any of them want a solo career, she supports and markets them. She's loyal to the end.

You are correct on the stadium...The Jerry Dome (Cowboys play there)Oh and she was there 2 nights with a total (sold out) 210,000+ people.
😲 that's a lot of people!

That’s why he said Texas. 🤫
Ah thank you, I was wrong about it being in Dallas. I figured Dallas because of the football team that plays there 😆
