Watch the BBC first on iPlayer 👉 bbc.in/iPlayer-Home Pornography is illegal in South Korea, and molka has emerged as an illicit DIY alternative. The devastating impact of molka is revealed in the increasing number of molka-related suicides. Now, criminal gangs are starting to install cameras on an industrial scale, selling people’s most private moments as pornography for strangers to consume. The country’s advanced technology allows criminals to stream videos live and share them at lightning speeds.
Can those fighting molka stay ahead of this quickly evolving crime? And are the ingredients that have made molka an epidemic in South Korea a warning sign for a sex crime that could soon affect us here?

You can also buy a very cheap and adhesive cover. It's cleaner / looks better
That guy was straight to the point no pleasantries no bs. Exactly what a spy cam Hunter from a government agency would be like in my mind lol 😂
god i’m traveling in a couple weeks and while it’s not to korea, i can only imagine that this type of shit happens in other places too, even if it’s not the same degree.

It's all fun and games until he forget where he hid the cameras.

This is dumb. He can view from the camera. Moreover I think you're a bot.

Camping in a tent it is 👌
The tent you bought is a spy cam
Its in trees!!!
fallingbed everywhere
First the guy with mustache, now u!??!?
It's a well known fact that bears are huge perverts
Guys this not a joking matter. There’s an organization called Nth room where they distribute such videos, in some of them women are raped and victim’s identities are disclosed. There are some petitions you can sign but the least you could do is take this video seriously without making jokes
😢😢 this is so heartbreaking to see. I'm sorry to hear guys. I can't believe people would do this
i remember this, they were blackmailing their victims as well i believe
Yes! Even heard of a little girl who was caught up in it. Praying she’s doing well..

This guy is doing a great job. The lady was also very humble
The biggest protest in south korea was because of this, women got fed up and really angry, and march to protest that kind of thing
really
korea's tourism sector has done an incredible job attracting tourists but this is undoing all of it.
protest criminals? as if they would stop anything because people dont like it lol. obviously its already illegal
@@asura8495 I would think they're protesting for more attention to be placed on deterrence and also for harsher punishment
Does Korea give a shit? Like, d’you have rights? 😬
This is what i’m scared of hotels and Airbnb. I guess I’m not just being paranoid after all.😳😳😳

Now I'm gonna be paranoid about this when I'm staying in a hotel
@Flora Fence No thanks, that seems exhausting to be so hateful towards someone just because of their sex.
@Flora Fence lmao no ❤️
@Flora Fence No, you specifically said "we shouldn't trust men at all" and in another comment thread you also said "misandry is okay"
Korea needs to come up with a solution asap !!! They are able to solve many problems.. How are they not able to solve this ?? In my opinion, it's just a neglected matter ...
honestly, if its so common its because people arent afraid to do it. how easy would it be for police to set up a sting where they sell cameras then follow the people that bought them? tsh
I am not korean but , i think you're right .
Imagine if bad guys install hidden cameras meanwhile being watched by other bad guys who have already installed the cams.
@Cipheiz 😂😂😂
It's the hotels doing it, not random people visiting the room.
Yo thats my spot put ur somewhere else

@@wakezu There was a camera inside the pooping bowl. Around the area where the waters comes down from the water closet.
That's some weird shit, to watch people shit.
The best way to combat this would be banning the sales of hidden cameras without any proper documentation from the government authority.
Its probably illegal already, but of course some criminals will be smart on how to hide it
@@MarcellusJasonClay heard it’s not
Thanks for the ideas😉👍
Plot twist: this 'spy hunter' places all the cameras himself so he has a job.
Not so much a twist did you notice every single camera was brand new still had the barcode stickers on if they were genuine they would have taken them off or if they had been there a while had fallen off.
@@dogwalker666 if you're referring to the ones that she was trying to find, he literally did say that he placed them there. That was literally the point of the exercise, for her to find as many as possible that he had hidden
Arturs Dobrecovs yes I know but scrappy says it’s a plot twist, they were hidden to badly to be real and some of the techniques they were using were pure pantomime
I agree it looks so .....
Places the cameras to make money off the footage, then gets someone to pay him to remove the cameras. 600 IQ.
Aww man I’m scared to stay in a hotel room now, and I’m a guy. Imagine being a girl 😕

Well, this is horrifying.
The dude looks cool. Like a protagonist.
being secretly recorded has been one of my biggest fears for ages. this paranoia led me to actually find a hidden camera filming me and it makes me sick that people can do this sort of stuff. i hope people are safe out there.
The way to look at it is, 99% of us have nothing remarkable, we're not famous and have nothing anyone can hold over us, so don't let it get to you. I'm 52, out of shape,if anyone thinks it's worth looking at my body, they are in for bad eyesight for the rest of their lives
@@bertbox69 yeah older people don’t care about others looking at them but young people aren’t that comfortable
@@FruityHachi I sure wouldn't give two shits and I'm 24. And there likely are enough older people who would get nervous nonetheless. Don't think it's a matter of age.
That aside, when I started reading the original comment, I expected it to continue with "this paranoia led me to actually ask for a hidden camera to be installed and film me so I can get over that fear". Sorry, but I'm a little sad it didn't end that way
@@MrCh0o just because you wouldn’t doesn’t mean others of your age wouldn’t too
looking at your username I assume you’re a male, females care more about being spied on, there are hidden cameras in women’s bathrooms in korea too
There are a lot of older people who would never ever wear a swimsuit because of age; I'm sure many of them would be mortified to find that they've been filmed. Modesty exists at any age, especially for women. I have many friends who have only been seen fully naked with the lights on by one or two men, regardless of how many bfs they've had.
This is really scary. Korean women, I sincerely hope you stay safe and don't fall victim to this horrible thing :(
@EUGENE Floyd Ok
What's scary is that this is not unique to Korea... It happens everywhere
Not only females are victims but males too....
