Wow,am I thankful for the relatability in this video and comment section. I just experienced the scariest, most painful flareup I've ever had in my life! I was so sluggish, I felt so awful and painfully bloated and gassy. It's so aggravating when people don't understand the seriousness of pain you're in because they can't "see it". It's hard...

When I get pains in my stomach I usually throw up and my whole life before I throw up my burps taste and smell awful but ever since I got ibs they literally smell like a fart. I just wanna know if other people have that or if that’s just me 🥲

I get this unpleasant growl/gurgle I feel come up my throat. I get nauseous and at times feel like there’s something in my throat and all I can do is throw up air. Like I’m just super gassy(I can’t burp) and that’s what happens. Feels somewhat better after I poop which is a little bit to none at all for a few days and then finally 2-3 decent poops in a day or two. It varies. I’ve had people ask if I’ve farted when I experience it bc the air coming out just smells that bad

Great video. In case this helps anyone - I’ve had ibs for about 10 years and i recently (five months) found drinking metamucil 3x a day has helped a great deal even though my ibs is ibs-D. You’d think it would make it worse but it’s really helping. Also thanks so much for sharing your symptoms, makes me feel less alone/crazy. I also have backache, joint aches and fatigue, and also some of the other associated symptoms on that list. Have worn leggings for the past three years or so - gave up on jeans because of bloating! I had some tests and colonoscopy and it’s ibs and not something else, so at least I know what I’m working with... your videos are so helpful thank you!

You should take crude olive oil. Depending on how constipated you are, take anywhere from 2-4 ounces at night, at least one hour or two after your last meal. Fiber without any chemicals or sugars is also good. No more Metamucil! Use natural medicine instead 🙌

I have: Bloating, abdomen pain, tiredness, nausea ✅ daily
Mucus, back-ache, incontinence ☑️ yes but only very rarely
Problems peeing: as a male, this one was unusual to diagnose, & only came up after decades of other symptoms. The cause was actually pelvic-floor-muscle pain. My pfm was worn out from the constant tension, so because emptying my bladder uses the pfm, I experienced very painful soreness after peeing. I went to pelvic physiotherapy, learnt some stretches & keggle exercises, & I’ve been able to manage it ever since.

I constantly yo-yo between diarrhea and constipation - constipation is arguably worse because I remain bloated and with cramps for days until the blockage finally clears. Generally speaking, bloating is a near-constant symptom for me unfortunately, but I've found that peppermint oil capsules do help with that, as well as reducing the amount of pain I have. I'd definitely recommend to take peppermint oil on a daily basis.
I also get backache and do struggle to fully empty my bladder.

I have gas pains and fatigue, sometimes cramps, but the worst symptom is the random sharp pains on my belly and on my back, I really thought I had Chron disease but after a colonoscopy my doctor said my intestine were impeccable and it was probably IBS, but sometimes it feels like I'm totally inflamed on the inside.

My forehead is covered in beads of sweat. Once I've been to the toilet the pain is gone the sweat stops and it all lasts about 30 mins. I dont get this often. I have Coeliac disease I've had it 43 years so i know it's not a Coeliac symptom. Doc said this is an ibs symptom and referred me to gastroenterology for a check up this was before lockdown and still not had any appointment x

Hello thank you for the videos very helpful, I am just starting on my low fodmap journey after having IBS for many years and not knowing where to turn for help. After many visits to docs with no help and no diagnosis and refused access to dietary or gastro services. I have now managed to get an app with a gastro specialist after refusing to leave the docs without one. What does confuse me is the timing of symptoms after eating the problem food. I keep a food diary but don't know the time span I should be looking at to see what has upset me. Would it be food from the previous day or even the day prior to that ie, 48 hrs before symptoms? I am finding it all very confusing at the moment. Any info would be very helpful.

I’ve had ibs for 30 years. Since I was 9 years old the things that trigger mine is fizzy drinks, lactose I don’t drink cows milk and if I miss meals. I haven’t had ibs for ages -until today. I went for an hour walk into town I felt the urge to go loo. The toilets where closed so I soiled myself! I had to find another toilet and it was coming out when I was rushing to find the other toilets in the shopping centre a 10 min walk away. Lucky I had just been shopping and had spare trousers and knickers. I nearly passed out I was sweating and I was vomiting in the shopping centre. Luckily I managed to get a lift home. I finally got home and was on and off the toilet for 2 hours after. I couldn’t wee for ages but needed too. I’m not exhausted. Next time I’ll make sure I don’t miss breakfast and eat less carby food.

Oh my god that sounds awful and a nightmare of mine. I have nearly been caught out so many times usually when I’m driving and trying to get home and having a bad flare for nearly 3 months now. Consequently I hardly go anywhere anymore and it’s always very local, within 5 minutes from home, if I do venture out which is honestly hardly ever because of the fear of the pain and urgency coming on so quick. It has controlled every aspect of my life for about 20 years now and it’s just horrible to live with.

i find it difficult at night when the toilets are closed. Also in parks when they only accept 20p by card and I don't have contactless. I wear black trousers a lot. I sometimes don't have poo control at all which is a big problem. When I go out, I have to wear adult nappies, a snap on plastic knickers and an waterproof overtrousers which I an easily put on outside. I am also considering taking a camping loo with a cat litter bag etc so I don't block up the loos in public cafes etc So having a Poo Disaster Bag will help reduce the embarrassment and indignity. I do find it difficult in Urban areas to have a IBS flare up

  • @carlosmamani2214
    @carlosmamani2214 Год назад

In not very bad cases, the intestines are bothered, this is due to the condiments or spices that are put on the food, chemical preservatives that are very subtle but added to others can do a lot of damage, fungi. I usually have these things coconut oil ( is very important) on my toast or in my food. Lemonades with sodium bicarbonate, drink in half a glass of water with a splash (like 2 tablespoons of soup) of apple cider vinegar in the morning and at night. if I have mushrooms I use salt in my mouth, a condiment called cloves, luckily God bless you.

For the last 3 weeks I have been attached to the toilet night and day. The pain is excrutiating. Will I be able to leave the house again?

The pain was also what made me go to the doctor. Ive had this since I was like not even 10. I thought this was normal. I thought it meant I had to go to the bathroom bad. I started to notice it happened to me a lot so I asked my really good friends about it. Noone knew what pain i was talking about. So I went to the doctor and duh duh nu diagnosed with IBS so its new diagnosis for me. Learning about it. Not scared of it. I suffered blindly my whole life got through it. I get constipation all the time and my bowel movements are never normal I learned. Idk why its messed up. And yes I feel immense amounts of relief after. I feel bad if its never that satisfying for people lol

I get bloating, constipation/diarrhoea, feeling tired, stomach pain, back pain and somtimes nausea. And because i have emetophobia, it makes my anxiety even worse when i feel nauseous or the stomach pain because of the thought of throwing up and everything gets worse. I was in therapy until a few months ago, but it ended and now i'm having a setback and i really wish i could go back, but it needs at least six months to get a spot..

I thought I had IBS but I might not but I had this month where I had a lot of the symptoms I got a prescription for zofran which helped with nausea and just the anxiety that when you do throw up it’ll be the worst thing in the world. I used emetrol over the counter until I could get a prescription but none of the OTC things work as well

I was like you for many years I had constipation. After about 15 years it went to both constipation and diarrhea. Now I have diarrhea mostly, but, I will have once in awhile my stomach burning like never before and I am constipated and I know I have to strain to get it out because there is diarrhea behind it. In the last year I have had constant flatulence. I am 56 and have had IBS for 30 years. I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, IBS, and severe COPD. I am now stuck at home because if I sneeze or cough the diarrhea just comes out and with COPD I cough quite a bit each day.

Thank you for your honest comment Debbie .
I am 52 and often find it rare to read comments from older women like us, it helps to know I’m not alone.
I’ve had varying degrees of IBS since I was in my 20’s. I also have severe anxiety, CPTSD and have had 2 craniotomy’s for aneurysms ( 1 ruptured the other un ruptured) which makes my blood pressure monitoring/ medication 💊 difficult to balance out! I sometimes just think I’m too old for this 💩💩💩!!! I have to wear panty liners when I go out just in case the urge hits me 💩- I’ve tried counselling to lower my anxiety to help with the IBS flare ups but it hasn’t worked for me. I’m on antidepressants which have helped - but unfortunately I can never predict when, where or what will trigger an attack!
I wish you all the best with your health and thanks for the comment 😊

I don’t have severe symptoms so I don’t go to a doctor about my suspected ibs but I bloat after most meals, some foods make it worse but I wonder if it’s me eating too much too quickly or it is actually ibs or some kind of food intolerance

At 1st I had constipation. But now I have a lot of frequent trips to the bathroom. I suffer from depression as well. I'm always bloated, gassy, heart burn, nauseous and a feeling like I incomplete stool😫. I've dropped weight some only because even if hungry I'm scared of my flare ups.

I can relate to all you have talked about. I can have all three, diarrhea, normal and hard marbles all in the same potty experience. I have mucus also. But what I'm experiencing right now is the nausea feeling all the time, whether I eat or not! I've lost 10 lbs. I have a dr. Appointment in 2 weeks. I've already had Colonoscopy and now the dr. Wants to go down my throat with cameras. If IBS is what I have, I hate to go anywhere because I never know when I will have an attack of uncontrollable bowels movements.

I can definitely relate with the nausea feeling. I’m nauseas 24/7. Even while I was eating lunch I was just gagging due to nausea. It’s horrible. The doctor gave me anti sickness meds and they helped so well.
I hope your appointment goes well.

The need to poo now is debilitating, I don't like going out where I cannot get to a loo, we do have a campervan with a proper loo and that is a godsend. I also had to stop eating rare steak as that gave an instant reaction. Apparently uncooked blood really reacts with your body.

Well i just started by ibs journey too... and becky so far we share similar symtoms
...luckily i dont have the Diarrhea symptoms thank goodness, but instead the constipation...usually after the 4th day i saw the heck with it im taking the X-LAX....usually i go later in the day or next morning....i get stomach pains and i can feel the poop softening up and causing pain in the gut, but often times i habe to wait a while before it all (or most of it) fully softens and my body decides "ok YOU MAY go now" lol
im certainly in the first step of connecting all the dots and making sense of my lack of concentration, brain fog (eventhough i did not realize i felt brainfog) sleeping issues, memory, constipation, food sensitivities, and sleep issues.... its interesting, although very annoying...i love all kinds of food 😢😢😭😭😭 lol

how about going to a boot camp military training for a month? a lot of physical exercises dehydrate your body and cant let you poo easily. during exercise, your body tries to extract every drop of nutrients from your body. this was only time i had constipation for 6 days in my life, never had one before because i eat mostly vegetables. i always have severe lactose intolerance but i could drink even milk during that physical traning times(must sweat constantly and eat as much as you want).
