This video made me get my 64 proof set out. I watched your show about a year ago about 1963 proof pennies DDR. I had one, or I believe it is. Nothing on the 64. I like these types of videos you make. 👍👍👍
Good one today my man, I personally like the Kennedy half dollars, I didn't know that 64, had so many errors and varietys on the quarter's and dimes. I have to go back and check my dimes. Thanks for the informative video's my friend. The old guy in Florida 😎😃
I have the type c 1964 quarter and another way to tell is the differences of tbe S in States ( at the twelve o clock pisition ) . My quarter looks like a proof coin type c ( if there was such a thing ? I also have an underweight 1964 half dollar which has the 4 drip , but the fields are not special type. Another main point is that endways the rare ones are very square at the rim and the normal coins are angled inwards at the rim .
So interesting you did this video today! I was just asking where I could have mine evaluated as wexler is on bad health and I decided I didn't want to send it there. So i emailed james wiles to see if this was something he would look at to attribute. Basically, both he and a coin group I posted it too said that it was not possible to have this coin and the SMS was also based on the pedigree or provenance of the coin. PCGS and NGC are the only ones who can grade such, apparently...I dont want to spend over 400 dollars to ship this set and have them graded and have them come back as 'regular' either because I have nonspecific lineage for them..conundrum...
Thanks for the rest of the info and good pics in this video though. Will have to find a coin show in mn to bring them to so someone can evaluate them firsthand i guess. Also, other utube coin educators tell you what to look for and that's why i noticed the 4 as i am new to magnifying my collection...not sure why they say to look for one honestly, if a requirement for SMS designation is that it was purchased from one person.
I actually have 1964 D mint quarter that I would like to get appraised by a specialist, would you know someone or are you interested in it? I currently live in Oklahoma City.
Thank you everyone for helping reaching 2k!

Nice video... I enjoy educational videos on coins. But I think you missed a few verities on the ddos and ddrs of the Kennedy's.
Are those cleaning scratches or scratched at the mint, for people like me that don't know. 😎😃
