1946-2021 Jefferson Nickel Errors & Varieties Complete Guide - Values & Clear Explanation

  • There are a huge number of valuable errors on nickels minted from 1946 to today, so I made a clear and concise presentation to explain exactly what to look for and their values. There are quite a range of possible nickel errors to look for, and knowing the big coins will be very helpful. However, in addition to the major varieties, I also cover all of the minor varieties recognized by PCGS so that you have the complete picture. Two pieces of advice: when selling, remember that there generally aren’t tons of these coins on the market, so values can fluctuate based on demand at a specific moment when a coin comes to the market, and in general, look for coins in slabs that have missed variety attributions.

Just want to say how awesome you are doing.
I almost forget about you with the other couple three guys I watch,
But your data is clear, concise, good pictures, good tips (the ones where you think for yourself and contribute back quality suggestions, not just regurgitated info).
    Plus I've seen you improve.
Not that I had anything ill to say of you before.
    (VERY RARE FOR ME)
I hypothesize you reach a broader audience, as the way you present data is simple, relevant and applicable, despite the high level info you're kicking down.
I prefer quality, accuracy, and conciseness.
    Oh yeah! And learning something!
There's an ease in going back through your videos to rewatch something that doesn't leave me feeling exhausted afterwards.
I feel this is unique to your broadcast.
    Very nice.

1942s Jefferson nickle. I found one that has a very small raised ridge line that runs up through the Monticello to the small window on the right side of the dome. I was then looking at online pictures of the same year and mint mark. And found another almost exactly the same. Strange thing is, it an advertisement photo for a major chain store. That you wouldn't even think sold these old coins.

And I have a 1964 Lincoln penny with 180 degrees die rotation. Now it is a serious question - do die rotation errors raise the value of a coin for coin collectors?

I just read this: All US Mint coins are struck with coin alignment. That is, when the coin is flipped from top to bottom, the reverse will be properly oriented. This is the opposite of medallic alignment, which has both the obverse and reverse oriented the same way.08-Oct-2019. Not quite clear now, on the issue.
