this coaster is so perfect for getting kids comfortable with loops. my best memory with this coaster is taking my little stepsister (i grew up most of my life with only a booger-eating little brother and had just gotten a stepsister and was SO EXCITED as an older sister) and brought her on this ride. she was so scared and kept trying to get out of the line but after that loop passed she was laughing and screaming that she'd ridden her first loop and i was the proudest older sister in the world
Aww that sounds so sweet
my first loop was california screamin' in disney land ^-^
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I prefer great bear as a first
So, the SooperDooperLooper may not be the most exciting coaster, or the coaster with the biggest drop, or the most loops or incredible speeds, or anything like that. What it is, however, is a classic looping coaster that is historic in the fact it's the first one ever on the east coast. It's also a great first ride to introduce someone to the world of looping coasters, and it's a great family coaster.
I personally have always really loved this ride.
same
There were looping coasters on Coney Island back in the 1920s--but they were questionable contraptions that were never very popular, and should probably be counted as failed experiments. And the first batch of Arrow corkscrew coasters (several of which are still around) beat these Schwarzkopfs to market by about a year, but the earliest ones only had corkscrew inversions, not vertical loops.
So more precisely, the sooperdooperLooper was the first coaster of the modern tubular-steel era in the Eastern US to have a vertical loop.
This has to really just be the way to get kids and people coasterphobic in general to get out of the Family/Mine Train/Older Woodens.
Great bear has a nice steady loop too, but it’s a great starter to Reese’s to get them started on the looping coaster life. This has been one of my favorites. But great ears will always be my fav!
..............boomer
I swear it must be an unsung tradition for anyone that goes to Hershey that when in that tunnel, SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN. Happens every time i ride
8ts because on video the screaming isnt loud but the sound gets louder when it gets in the tunnel. So shut up
@@yeetyeet5473 .....
I rode this right as a kid and I am 49 years old now. I can’t believe they still have it!
The name of this coaster is the same type of names I give my rides in rct3
Awesome quality. And nice idea to change the introduction :)
Happy Holidays to everyone!
Yeah thanks so much! I eventually will do a different one for Halloween too!
Sounds great!
This classic is so underrated ... It is a classic must ride for young and old !!!
I went on this ride about 45 years ago! I can’t believe they still have it!
The next time I go to Hershey park this will be my first front seat ride, It wasn't even scary when I went on it😂😂😂
Sammi you’re a GP, coasters aren’t scary you just think too much.
This was my first ever roller coaster I thought it was the scariest thing I’ve ever done when I did it
Other than the loop, this ride is basically just a mine train. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It would be a good first coaster with inversions, and it's cool how it goes along the river. It's also one of the few coasters with inversions, but only lap bars instead of over the shoulder restraints.
Never been on a looping ride but im considering going on this on my next visit
Idk why but this is such a good rollercoaster in real life. Anyone else?
Looping Coaster 1 was great!
This was my first, first front seater, and all time favorite coaster, I love it so much!!
Why am I watching this, I literally went on this three times today
This roller coaster was my moms first looping roller coaster and my friend Aryanna’s first EVER roller coaster. She loved it
This was my first looping roller coaster and I agree with what everyone is saying about it being a good intro. I was afraid of looping coasters because I didn’t understand how loops worked. But the guy I was seeing at the time and his mom convinced me to do it and that was that. 6 years later and I finally got to ride el torro and king de kah for the first time. I still have to get plenty of creddits at Hershey though.
Not the most exciting coaster at Hersheypark for sure, but important for its historical value. It's also good for a first inverting coaster, for kids (and squeamish adults) who've braved Trailblazer but aren't yet ready for the big boys like Fahrenheit and Stormrunner.
This was my first looping ride xD I was so scared.
Yesi Anya same
Yesi Anya OMG SAMEEE!
Yesi Anya Your not alone!!
me too
Same
last year it was near closing time and my dad and I were able to go on this like 6 times in a row because there was no line
I know right!
that happened with a pal on thunder and lightning for me a few years back, we didn’t even have to get off. just went again and again
This was my first ride with a loop
I cried
Lovely games and more What age were you at the time? :)
NataliaPlays :D I was 7
This roller coaster will either make you love or hate roller coasters. I got my dad and my friend Meghan to go onto this ride, when Meghan was only a Hershey. She was really scared, but once she got over the loop, she can’t wait to go to Hershey Park again with me next year as a Twizler and go on the big coasters. My dad, on the other hand, is terrified of heights. He hates roller coasters, and now he won’t go on any coasters.
this was my first upside down roller coaster. I remember being terrified and going on it with my dad but I had so much fun
My first ever loop ride
Sooperdooperlooper is the best looping coaster that I think is at hersheypark
cguizar1010 actually the best is sidewinder
stills holds up for being the first looping coaster in the east coaster (CORKSCREW AT CEDAR POINT IS IN THE MIDDLE COAST)
This looks a lot tamer than I thought it would be.
I can’t BELIVE I’m going to this ride! it’s so cool with the swirls and stuff!
I love this coaster
I remember going on this and whispering and repeating "this is hell"
The quality is amazing!!
Thank you! I do my most as possible!
I can't wait till Thursday
Glad to see someone do a good POV of SDL one of my all time favorite lap bar only Schwarzkopf loopers! My favorite is King Kobra that was at King's Dominion!!!
wait i remember this coaster having 3 loops but there was only 1 in this video.... am i making this up?
This is an absolute classic! It's not very intense by today's standards but it's still a very enjoyable ride! As a result this is a coaster that even the timid can usually be coaxed into riding.
I loved this ride!
Going to Hershey Park this Friday, I never went on a ride that went upside down before but I want to go on this ride, but I'm also very scared
I went to hp today and I’ve always hated roller coasters. I know love them and this ride was I first looping coaster and it was AMAZING
It's alot more enjoyable then you'd expect actually.
I passed out for a sec on the loop and had a big bump it was my first time riding a roller coaster I WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT TOO
That's the scariest roller coaster ever
Upset I didn’t get to get on this
looks fun! needs a repaint though
HANDS DOWNS THE SUPER DOOPER LOOPER IS MY FAVORITE RIDE
Shorter version of the Revolution.
Wait I'm confused this is a family ride but has a loop, Skyrush is NOT a family ride but doesn't have a loop 😶
Loops are definitely not the only thing that makes a coaster super-intense.
That would be me screaming in the background LOL
The intro reminded me of the Westmister Chimes because of the sound effect that you put./ Le intro m'a rappele le Carillons Westmister a cause de l'effet sonore queue tu mets. / J'amie ton intro et aussi ton video. / I like your intro and also, your video.
That first drop is small and short but GREAT!!
My parents didn’t tell me what the name was or what happened. They only told me it was a baby roll o coaster so I would be fine. I ended up having a whole panic attack but I loved the adrenaline rush.
"Oh it's ova"ITS OVA"yeah idk my life
When I was on it the dark tunnel had my exited
Haha
1:52 I never knew there was a monkey on the ride
XD
Lol super-duper-looper yet there is one inversion. Classic Hershey.
Rory The Boss well it is a very old coaster. It was the first vertical looped coaster on the east coast. It's 40 years old
wow such a original name
How is it not?
hey illusion could you come do a visit to carowinds ind north carolina it would make my day
Yeah I need to come back as nighthawk was closed when I was there last and I need to do Fury 325.
yay thank you! ^_^
+Sollux Captor no problem!
Nice intro :))
Thank you!
Where is this at hers get park?
Hershy*
+Robloxfangirl 5000 (doty123rainbowunicorn500) It is located near Great Bear, Comet, and Skyrush, which is over on the right side of the park.
I rode this after eating french fries and I got a heart burn
I'm glad Bruce McKinney's wife and daughters had more sense when it came to coaster names than he did. He wanted to call this ride Merry Derry Dips, but got out voted 3-1.
SupermarketSweep777 there’s actually a slide in hershey park called that now
are you safe in the restraints?
Yes of course I've Been on it like 7 times
Why is it called sooper dooper looper if it only has one loop??????
Foxy The Pirate because it’s more intense in real life
Wow lots of loops..
It was the second looping roller coaster in the world.
+TheEpic22 uh no that title belongs to Corkscrew at CP
+CoastersNGames good point. Still though
+CoastersNGames Or was it Corkscrew at Silverwood Theme Park (Athol, ID)? If a proper vertical loop is requested, then it is Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
SarahPToadstool that was the first inverting coaster which was originally at Knott's Berry Farm
1:32. Am I deaf now
I went on it and im7
this coaster needs an update. It gives me a migraine every time I ride it. It's a metal coaster. However, it's super rough and bumpy - worse than a wooden coaster.
It's pretty old...I rode it as a teen and I'm 48 ! Cant believe it's still operating!
Tbh this was a disappointing ride but it is good for younger kids who want to experience their first “scary” ride. I really wanted to go on sky rush but it was under maintenance, so we decided to go to Fahrenheit and I almost died lol
lit 🤣 but to scared to go on it
Tim Braun trust me it's Soo easy.
its not even scary
Its not that intense at all
this is a yawner to me!! Try superman ride of steel at six flags america!!!
Sooperdooperlooper sucks. I hate it it is not fun
FNAFKID 3000 it’s actually really enjoyable. It’s just that you have no taste in coasters
