Thank you! In middle of hybrid tube install myself. Is it just me, or no one shows the internal wheel well tire shroud plastic cut? That's where I'm at now, but don't want to cut it until I confirm I would. But we must have to if everyone has a nice clear view of the shocks/tire w/o it???
Well done video! Just purchased an SSO slimline and I'm getting ready to install it... your vid has a number of good viewpoints and suggestions that will help. Thank you!
Ordered my SSO full plate bumper today. 14-16 weeks b4 it ships. YeeSh. Surely is the best looking bumper I’ve found which allows for use of factory fog lights and the bull bar won’t interfere with the forward sensor behind the grill. Stoked to get her installed….
I'm 4 months in with my new 23 TRD Off Road. So far just minor mods, lighting etc. I'm looking at the slimline front bumper with no wings. Can't commit to that much cutting just yet. Loving your content!
Im thinking of getting this bumper. my question for you? does this offer enough ground clearance? some other bumpers have you cut higher to eliminate the factory fog lights. I ;ike how this bumper looks. Just not sure if it offers enough clearance?
Looks good! My bumper has been sitting in my garage since January because I’m afraid to cut my bumper. Lol. It looks like you have edge trimming on the fender flares. Did you use the edge trim that came with the bumper? Just looks like it wouldn’t fit since the fender flares are thicker than the bumper.
Noice! I have the hybrid with a winch and it was HEAVY! but totally worth it! I might add the wings later, idk. I like the hole trimmy thingys. I'll get me a pair for sure. You mention those are the white trim option but that they are actually more grey? I ask because I have the same color taco, cement. Thanks, bud!
Thanks for your support. The trim pieces are more gray than a pure white, as they state on the website. It could have just been the version I was sent out.. but you can paint them if you want. I was going to paint them red so they would match my accent colors.
Thank you so much for taking your time to show the details of the installation. I'm helping my cousin install his tomorrow. Your Tacoma is coming along great! Look forward to more install and modification on it. 🙏
How are you able to have that bull/brush bar there with the tss sensor? Just installed a new grill that has a lower sensor, same as yours. I have a bull bar in the same place as yours (avid is the brand) and its great but I'm having issues with the sensor. Does your bar not block the sensor? Or were you able to fix that once the issue came up. Thanks. I have a 2020 off road
I havent had any issues with the sensor and the bumper. there is an adjustment screw on the back where you can angle it up or down. that should help with alignment. it could be that your sensor is pointed down far enough to be hitting your bull bar.
@@Mumfy64 ok cool thanks. I figured that could be why. I have one thick washer in there already but should probably add another one. Good to know about the bar thanks
If I’m understanding your question correctly, the SSO bumper in my case sits a little bit higher on the factory bumper in those areas. The trim piece is keeping the SSO bumper from rubbing on the factory bumper.
Nope. Overpriced. People, go and get the Body Armor Hiline. Just as good, HALF the damn cost if you decide to mount without high clearance wings. Add 300 bucks more if you add them; at the end of the day still cheaper that this thing. Sorry Mumfy, you make good content, just tired of seeing all these vids with these overpriced parts. Aggravating.
This is just one option in a sea of bumper offerings. I can't tell you what bumper to buy for your own look and style. When I ordered this bumper the BA version hadn't come out yet, but i would still choose the SSO over BA. I like the option of the tube style bumper that SSO offers as well. The great thing is that there are plenty of options to choose from and plenty that fit all sorts of budgets. If you get the BA bumper and make a video on your install I'll be sure to check it out.

Hit me up on Instagram and I can get you photos of the cuts I made. There might be more due to the tube style.

Happy to help!!
Is it flat 1”? Or the 0.94”
Badass bumper & install
Hello Mumfy. Another day in paradise:-). Have a good one my friend!
You too, Breeze!
could you use the caliraised hidden bumper lightbar with this? I am thinking I would go amber in the bumper and clear in the bumper grille
Great question! I’m not sure if that bracket will work. There may not be enough threads to fit the bumper and the bracket.
The bull bar clears the front cruise control sensor?
it sits just under the sensor. no interference.
Nice video Bud, truck looks awesome!
Just received the tube style bumper. Same cuts as a full plate bumper? I'm assuming so but wanted to confirm. Thanks, great video sir.
I believe so.

You’ll love it!!
Mumfy what up just received bumper. Do you use old oem bolts? I only recieved edge molding and 6 nuts and 2 bolts. Any help would be appreciated
You can use the 6 nuts to attach on the crash bar bolts. the 2 bolts are for underneath in the old tow hitch mounts.
@@Mumfy64 thank you bro appreciate it. Super excited. Bringing to powder coat today then install when I get it back. Hope all is well with you.
Great job on the install! Looks GREAT! Definitely not for the faint of heart
You got that right!

Starting with the stage 1 is a great option before getting the stage 2. You’re gonna like the bumper!!
where u get ur custom letters for the grill need some for my business name thanx 2019 taco here
Its a full replacement grill. I got mine from TacoClout.com
Mummy the bumper looks awesome and video was very detailed 👍.
Glad you liked it!

It offers plenty of clearance for the trails I go on. If you are looking to do more crawling then a higher clearance bumper is a good option.
Sheesh! Putting my bull bar to shame 😂😂😂😂 you’re the man bro looking good! 😎🔥
Lol. Thanks.
Looks very good!
Great install video!

Thanks Mike! I did use the edge trim that came with the bumper. You won’t use it on the fender flares.
@@Mumfy64 it looks like you did use the edge trim on the fender flares...is that the case?
Any issues with tire rub?
Haven’t had any issues. The rub issues I’ve had are on the back of the wheel well not the front.
Sorry, what was the name of your light-bar?
All of my off road lights are from Heretic Studio. Link: bit.ly/3xgJqDa
Did the front dip down at all with extra weight?
If you have the stock springs it’ll droop. I have the OME 2888 springs so there is a little droop but not much.

Does the bumper extend under the cuts near the fog lights?

I'm going to get the tube bumper I love it 😀
Looks great!
I like that tool . Looks like a clean cut👍
Easy to control and you don’t have to worry about a disc breaking at high speed.
I’m curious where the license plate would go after installing this front bumper.
They make a license plate mount that will cover the winch opening if you need a front plate.
Nice job like a pro
Did you choose the Bare Metal or Matte Black finish? Thanks!
I had it powder coated black.
@@Mumfy64 clean install.. this is the bumper that I've been eyeing! Thank you!

Get that bumper on!! It’s gonna look goooood!!
Looks good but would rather have the C4 Fab front bumper. Cheaper
Lots of great options out there to find the right look for your tacoma.

excited to see what you do with it!!
