Looks incredible! You're a brave man to cut into the stock bumper. In the end, I think you've successfully demonstrated that's it's not quite as scary as it sounded.

I bought a new bumper cut that one nd installed this same bumper. Did that nearly two years ago.
Today I removed it to fix a problem with the Barracade winch and installed a yellow film on the light bar.
Love that steel bumber even more after crashing into a moose at night. It saved my radiator from being destroyed. It was still a long way home after the crash.

Great job!. I found using a small block plane to shave along the bumper cut allowed me to straighten the line and remove a lot of the plastic 'burrs'

Thumbs up on the video and installation advice. I'm neutral on the part. It seems like it could fit a little cleaner. However it does look great when you pull the camera back.

Rob, I bought the Victory Blitz bumper which requires very little cutting and did not add the bull bar (60#). I'm thinking about adding the Badland Apex 12,000# winch (67#) when I do this. Between the two items, I will be adding about 125# to the front end of my 2022 Tacoma TRD Off Road. My concern is will this damage the truck in any way. I'm 64 years old, retired, and am not into rock crawling or hardcore off roading. I live in PA and end up driving a lot of dirt and muddy roads in The Allegheny National Forest. The winch would come in handy for snow and if I encounter the occasional tree that falls across a road.

Use a low grit sand paper on a 1 foot block of wood to even out the cut. So that it’s nice and straight when you apply the black strip

What is the correct measurement you made when you marked the right line to cut the bumper, thank you in advance.
3/4” for the front line is perfect. The width of a common razor blade.
Love it. I’d be too nervous cutting the bumper. Need a steady hand for sure.

Sweet.....as I mentioned in the unboxing video that bumper looks great on the Tacoma. With your grille and lights it looks very cool indeed. On your grille did you relocate the radar sensor to the lower section and if so is it protected by a cover? Do you have a grille video?

I love it Rob it gives the front end a very streamline look it's not to much but it's not to little either we all know or I think we do is the coolest part of the tacoma but this leaves behind two thirds of the top and that's the sharpest part of thwith us tte bumper it's a shame that the license plate has to go back on but that's the law and we e ae never want them to have and issue the kids that drive around in what is basically a race car on the road then they put another 40000 into it and drive around to pass of the boys in blue but back to your mod I think what was removed is the worst part of the bumper this gives it some real nice style very nice job first kid in the neiborhood have a good sunday

You could, but it would be much more difficult.
Hello, I just bought a new 2023 TRD Sport, I want to put something like this on my truck, but I am limited by the tools I Have. you think most shops would let me buy the product, and pay them for the install and labor?
Any reputable shop should. However, they will most likely not offer any warranty on the part itself.

Rob it looks good. Did you have to take a deep breath before you started cutting? The times I cut (on another vehicle) I did. The time I put a 6” hole in a front fender took 2 breaths, after that the 6 - 1” holes were a piece of cake.

I just got in an accident and now I want do this because its won't even look like anything happened after its done. The part where you cut the plastic and put on the weather stripping got bent pretty good. Do you think if I straighten it out the best I can and trim it like you did it will still workout? thanks
Depends on how bad it is. The stripping is a little rigid and may allow you to shape the plastic a bit.
