Oh nice that's a color combination I haven't seen too many of them person is a white with gray I bet you that would look really good in person. There's tons of options that would look great on these 3rd gens
Keep it red…and add one of those stupid black vinyl bras to needlessly complicated and cluttered. My 83 was in much better shape, had 15” Punch woofers where the back seat is supposed to be. And I had the most ingenious custom multi-faceted auto anti-theft system…. A kill switch wired up so you had to push the cigarette lighter in to get it to start. Lol!
Yeah exactly it's in really good shape I have no idea what would have pulled the door out like that though it's kind of odd. Something must have got hooked on the side mirror. Other than not in that dent in the fender and the crack on the ground effects on the passenger side it's in really excellent shape
The early third gens (82-84) are definitely my favorite. Mainly because that's what I had in high school but I also just like the front end, hood, and tail lights better.
Yeah I'm definitely a fan of these ones especially since the motors were all carbureted. Definitely make some a lot easier to work with having the less electronics in them. Same here I always like that front end of the earlier 3rd gens too. What year and color was your Camaro in high school?
Yes I graduated in 84🇨🇱Abd several of my pals had these gen 3 ,and Square bodies ,C-3s,Gen 2- Z28s,my close friend had one of the 1st sold at our local dealership,Dark Brown/tan interior/gold package trim V-6,nothing like new car smell😄

This car looks awesome, and especially the interior after you detailed it, those seats look great. I know how exciting it can be finding one of these cars in good shape, just like when I bought my 1991 Trans Am. I'm excited for you and I hope to see more videos of this car in the future.
Hey thanks yeah I definitely felt way better after that car was detailed. The seats are in fantastic shaping this thing the only thing I really need to replace would be about the carpet. And just reupholster or reglue the T-top headliner. Oh nice that's awesome what color is your 1991 Pontiac Trans am? I will be doing a full video series on this Camaro on the teardown and repaint of it. As soon as I'm done the 1980 Scottsdale pickup truck series. I will either be painting this one or the 1991 Pontiac Firebird
@@fullyloadedkustoms That's awesome, I look forward to seeing more. My 91 Trans Am is maroon with a grey cloth interior, it is a GTA model so it has the gold badges and wheels. I would have really loved to have found a Trans Am in metallic blue like your 91 Firebird, which also is a nice car with a super nice interior. I haven't started my Trans Am in a few months so I plan on doing a cold start video of the car this week.
As a red 1983 Z28 owner, i may be biased, but i really think you should keep it the factory red with its silver ground effects like it is. Also, from the factory, this car wouldve had orange stripes just above the ground effects all the way around the car. Dont forget the stripes, they really make these red cars pop!
Lota of people are loving the orginal Red color on this Camaro it looks great with the silver Z28 ground effects kit. I juat Google that stripe I'll definitely be adding it of I go with this colors 👍🏻
I agree 2ith u about the Rootbeer color...Its already been repainted anyways...Do u know if it was origionally red? Most red ones I have seen have had the black or grey interior...That buckskin doesnt match red very well....

My first car was an 84 trans-am painted brown with a small flake in it (GM OEM paint). It was a nice car. so yea go with the rootbeer. It will look awesome.
Oh nice my buddy Rich back home in Ontario. Has a metallic Brown 84 Trans Am looks really good his is the only one I've ever seen in that color before. That's definitely what got me thinking that the root beer candy would look really good on it too.
14:22 on my 82 i use broken hockey sticks as hood or rear window prop rods.. using the same wooden Sherwood stick the last 4 decades. Lol. The original 1982 gas struts lasted 15 years in the back and say half that amount for the hood..😊
You just can't beat a good Sherwood brand hockey stick they last forever haha.15 yesrs out of a gas strut that's wild lol I swear every car I've gotten of these the gas struts are always gone haha.
I turned 16 in 1988 and my first car was a 1985 IROC-Z with the LB9 TPI 305. I haven’t driven a third gen since I sold that car around 1993. I have so many fond memories associated with that car. Im completely out of garage space ( I’m even storing one car at my father’s house) and I am in no way wanting to sell any of my cars…. But I am jonesing for a 3rd gen Camaro. That's awesome can't beat having an Iroc Z as a first car that's awesome!! What color was it? Getting a lift is a good idea provides room for more cars. I agree the decision let's you get a 3rd Gen camaro I recommend it lol
@@fullyloadedkustoms…it was silver with red decals. The car was totaled soon after I sold it. It was a first year IROC, in the rarest color, with the top performing engine option and a rare non T-top car from year with lowest IROC production. Shame it got recycled into soup cans.
@abolishwelfare oh really that's to bad the new owner totaled it that sucks, yeah that's definitely ashamed that was end of it especially with it being the first year of the Irocs as well
Same here I definitely like my 3rd gens my 83 Camaro was pretty much the first car to get me into classic cars and Custom paintwork. Really looking forward to being able to do this one and the firebird over the winter should be great.
Ahhhh nice Florida that would be a great place to be. Haha it was -24 here yesterday evening and we had bunch of snow too. It Would definitely be nice to be out on golf course instead.

By the way that vacuum brush hack you have worked like a charm when I was cleaning out my GMT400 suv the other day ✌

My 83 Camaro had the box that Six Flag with the rear hatch and when you get the base bouncing off the glass it sounds really good. Awesome the brush hack for the vacuum works so much better than the Plastics

Arizona here! It’s 65-70 degrees every day right now. But, we pay for it in the summertime. My first car was a red 85 Camaro, so great to see this one get a new life again!
Oh nice that sounds like great weather compared to out here lol. But I've seen some of the temperatures there in the summertime it definitely gets hot. Have to plan to take a trip down to Arizona sometime for a cruise I've never been to that area before it would make for a great road trip. Oh nice that's awesome my first car wasn't 83 Camaro lock to my friends in high school either had a 3rd gen Firebird or a 3rd gen Camaro. Awesome cars to have. I can't wait to tear into this one and get it torn down and ready for paint
Excellent video as always, can't wait to see this f-body being restored to former glory. Don't worry about the zed thing, here in EU we initially learn British English so it's also "zed" for me 😄 - and in my native language German it's "zett", which is close to "zed" as well :). It's winter time here as well now, close to 0°C, it's gonna snow soon...I used to like winter, but the older you get the less you like it 😄. I never liked hot weather either, so I enjoy spring and fall the most when it's around 15-20 °C.

Lol when I posted the video of the world's largest Trans Am Camaro and Firebird collection at David T's I had a lot of people in the comments saying hey it's not a Zed 28 camaro it's a Zee 28 haha so I thought I would throw that clip in there lol. Yeah I know exactly what you mean used to like winter as a kid now that I'm in my 30s I really don't have much use for it haha. I would definitely prefer a longer car show season and golf season now haha. Yeah we're going to get hit with snow and cold weather here right away too. And then it's going to probably last until about May LOL had to stock up on my winter projects with the 3rd gens I picked up lol
@@csavage63 100% doable to get that 92 up and running again, I pulled a 91 Firebird out of the wrecking yard last summer it sat in the yard for at least 10 years. Got it running and driving with no keys and a Vats system and drove it out of there. These 3rd gens can be brought back to life
I would love to build a replica of the first car I had back in high school which was in 83 sports coupe that I showed at the beginning of the video. I'm definitely saving the black paint for that one. This one I think would definitely look great in a red color for sure tons of really nice shades out there for red. I'm thinking it would go really nice with the tan interior
@roycervantes1341 I want 100% will be building a replica of my high school camaro on the channel. I recently just found the fiberglass hood scoops for it online. And after I found those I really got to thinking I have to make a replica of my high school car. Same here I really like that 90 to 91 RS ground effects kit with the Scoops I think it looks really good
Thanks, yeah, this one was in really good shape. I think the only thing I would do is replace the lower seat foam. That's all the seats need. Really comfortable seats in this car though

Same here I definitely cannot wait to get back to doing body work and paint on a project. Green and gold is such a good color combination. I painted a 1991 Caprice lowrider and a gold and Candy green color combination and it looked incredible when I was finished. Those color's go really well together. The greens really nice too because it stands out you definitely don't see too many of those ones around 👍🏻
Yeah I'm definitely liking the red color on these looking really good. I've looked at a few shades of red for it. Definitely going to keep the tan interior because it's an excellent shape.
Hey, a red 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z28 305 5.0Liter V8 TPI With race homo-legation undercarriage and 5 speed manual Borg-Warner drivetrain with 4 diskbrakes owner here, Please keep her Red and by all means do not upgrade the engine (LS-swap or someting) because you will chew up your entire Borg-Warner drivetrain. If you must LS-Swap this Camaro, then swap out the entire drive train as wel, capable to handle the Horse power and Torque the LS in the end comes with. And please when you turn off the engine by key, the power really is off when you press down the key release button behind the key so you can turn the key all the way back so both arrows on the key/contact actually point to each other.... ask me how I know....
Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay with that Color combination Red/Silver I also will add the lower decals that should be on the car too. Me and my dad were recently out at the pick and pull and picked up a door and a fender for the camaro too. Now I have all the parts I needed to repaint this car and get it ready for the road again
Leave it red, looks old school and cool. When I was 15 I got an 87 firebird and its maroon and gold. I originally hated the color but I grew to love it and I got the seats redone to be their original red. This car is badass and I love it

Yeah I definitely got a good score on this one. I ended up picking up this Camaro for $1,500 canadian which works out to be about $1100 us. Can't wait to start the tear down process on this and get it ready for paint

Great video. My wife (girlfriend at the time) bought a brand new 1983 Camaro Z28, black with grey black interior. We live in the gta, just north of Toronto, Ontario. She didn’t drive it in the winter so it was mint and Was a good car. I sold it for her a few years later but we enjoyed it while she had it.

My 1st was a 82 z28 350/T350 trans, it was blue with grey skirts, it rotted away😞, my second was a 88 sport coupe with a 305/700r4,all rattle can black indy 500 hood, i had 387,000 miles on it when the engine blew😞, these cars schooled me on how to improvise, best sitting position for bad back ppl too its like a beach chair.
Yeah I was thinking about doing that just before I posted on the truck series. That way I can kind of use that video as a poll to find out which car to paint after I'm finished up with the truck series either the 91 Firebird or that 83 Camaro. Thinking when I get back from the city I'm going to work on doing a quick video on the three of them. Before I post the first video on the truck series.
I had a 1982. Z28 same color. It was a crossfire engine. Crashed it back in 2003. I like the one you have better. Yours doesn't have the Crossfire engine for 1. And yours has T-tops. Very nice. Red is the right color too. 😊👍

@BNM0826 yeah haa I was at the wrecking yard picking up a bunch of body panels for the 91 firebird. I also picked up a door and a fender for this 83 Camaro at the Pick-n-Pull recently too. I've got about seven or eight videos worth of film done just have to sit down and edit it lol.

I am so glad I live in Florida, feel so bad for you. I cannot function in extreme cold or heat but can handle the heat a lot better than the cold, anything below 50 degrees farenheit is to cold for me. Great video.

I don’t know how much the real estate prices are in Canada but many people sell their properties up north and buy houses cash down here because of the price difference. I wish you well in your endeavors .
Yeah same here I don't think I have ever seen one done in a root beer candy before. My Buddy Rich back home has a 1984 Trans Am done in an orginal brown metallic that looks really good. And that root beer candy and gold accents would look extremely well together👍🏻

The candy apple red definitely will have a great look to it. Especially the sunlight it just brings out all the body lines in the car in the sun flop on the paint.
Charcoal grey...btw,GREAT FIND, GREAT JOB ! The only thing I would do is, take the rear spoiler off the Camaro and put on a wing like the one on the Trans am...OR same yr as the camaro.

Yeah I'm liking the red color on it the red looks pretty nice. There's a few red colors that I was looking at for it already. A yellow color will be definitely different don't see too many of those around Ferrari has a amazing metallic yellow PPG color. I also do like that old school pale kind of yellow too that you would see in a lot of mid 60s cars.
I have an 87 Z28 and it was red like yours and I got side swiped on the passenger side door and fender and my body guy who was supposed to be my friend talked me into painting it Viper blue because he owned a couple of them and gave me a break on the paint. My interior is black cloth seats . Long story short, I wished I had left it pull me over red 😂!!! Although that maroon looked pretty nice too. Your call sir. Another third gen back on the road. Awesome 👍🏻!!!
Ahh that sucks that's what happend to my 83 Camaro I had in high school. Guy side swiped me too. Yeah that red is definitely an attention grabbing color Lora of people have left suggestions to go back to that color

Yeah this Camaro is in fantastic shape. A lot of these that have been able to find are in pretty good shape with very minimal rust. Good thing for the dry climate we got out in this area in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Had this been in Ontario car she might have rusted in half already with all the salt down there haha. But this one's going to make for a solid project can't wait to tear into it.

I’m from Ontario and Canadian tire or “Newfie Speedsport” is always the go-to for parts. They have a wide selection of everything now especially on weekends. Any thing from dealerships is going to require you mortgaging your home. I have quite a few jobber parts store here that I get most of my parts from and princess auto and TSC is another good place to get stuff from.

I had a 3rd gen camaro forget what year it was but I will say this it was so fun to drive I loved driving it in my opinion it was dam well built car had 200,000 miles but ran like a dream was well taken care off too I feel In love with it had t tops whole nine yards unfortunately I had to get rid of it had the money but not the time to do what I wanted too with it I always said it was my dream car one of them and one day I'm gonna buy another one deff keep it red love to see you restore this car.
100% these cars are fun to drive they get tons of looks and lots of people have great memories in them too. I'm definitely glad I turned around and decided to stop and ask if this car was for sale. What color was the 3rd gen Camaro that you had? Hopefully, you get the chance to get yourself another one to cruise in.
You found a good investment. For this car I would say go on a road trip. Someplace that is warm. Highlight everything mechanical that you think, would need to be done on the car that can at least survive a1500 mile road trip. Go after creature conforts inside the car, like new seats. And outside, like rear suspension upgrades if need be. Maybe even buying a professionally made hitch and towing a trailer in an 83 Camaro :) Get rid of the crusty IROC wheels and go 16x8 OEM replacement wheels. Basically, just demostrate that these cars can still function and have purpose.
Yeah this is a really good car I picked up. I ended up purchasing the Camaro for $1,500 Canadian which works out to about $1100 usd. My plan for either this one or my 91 Firebird is to build and restore it and then drive it across Canada in the spring so that I'm able to help my younger brother paint his 87 Cutlass and also throw a big car show in my hometown of Pembroke Ontario at the same time. I think the rough distance would be about 2600 miles. To go from where I live in Alberta to Pembroke Ontario. It would definitely make for a great series. I would be redoing all the seat foam interior carpets new paint job exhaust rims and tires and try to keep each build in a lower bracket budget that's easily affordable for most people.
I think I've seen that orange color you're talking about that would have been on those 90s Trans Ams that's a really nice color. Definitely would have stood out for sure. Hope you get a chance to pick another one up there
A friend of mine just bought 2 third gens..1 is supposed to be an 85 Iroc Z28 305 auto.and the other is supposedly an 87 RS 2.8 5 speed,converted from auto, with an 82 or 83 nose on it...
Ohh nice that's awesome I recently just came across a 86 Iroz Z sitting in a wrecking yard I'm hoping to pick it up and rebuild it as long as the VIN number rolls back OK to rebuild and it was decommissioned. What color are your friends camaros? The one I was looking at was a blue color I think it's identical to my.91 Firebird
That sure looks VERY familiar, I had a 1983 Z28 a couple years ago, canadian car as well so no computer control, no AC, TH200C, red on silver, but it had no option and base interior in charcoal. It had the funny clock in the center console you got if you didn't order a radio. It was so basic it didn't have rear speakers or even the openings for them in the rear panel, and no antenna hole in the fender either. Sweet car, not fast but a simple lovely cruiser.
Oh nice that's right on so you pretty much had the identical looking car that's cool. Yeah exactly it would make for a great Cruiser. I would really like to redo this Camaro or the 91 Firebird over the winter time and take one of those two. EXCELLENT shape, loved the driving season this yr but sadly she is in my storage unit now till April. It's cold now in IA, USA and we had 2" of snow here Saturday. Yeah definitely looks to have been sprayed probably within the last 10 to 15 years I would have to guess nothing's really flaking off it yet. It's good possibility that's maybe what has happened. I'm definitely going to find out once I start sanding on and see how many different colors it might be.

I'm jealous. A few years ago, I bought an '87 IROC but it ended up being more rusted out than I thought and is now a parts car for my '86 sport coupe. Wish I had waited and bought something like what you got in MUCH better shape. Anxious to see what you do to it. I'd also keep it red, personally, even though I am partial to Metallic Blue.
I actually just came across a 86 Iroc yesterday I'm 100% considering picking that car up to build it's in pretty good shape. And at $600 Canadian I don't think you can go wrong there. This 86 I found I would love to paint it a metallic Blue color
I totally understand the "Zed" thing. I'm retired Air Force. I've had trips to Canada as well as lots of trips to England. Zed is common for Z. Love your channel!!!
Thanks I really appreciate that. Oh nice right on if you were in the Air Force and had trips up to Canada you must have been up to Cold Lake Alberta for Maple flag? I was getting a few comments here from people in the UK too who said that the English they use it's pronounced Zed as well.
@fullyloadedkustoms Never been to Alberta. Twice as a kid to Brockville, Ontario as my dad was also Air Force and assigned to a Radar Site in Upstate New York and once while I was in to London, Ontario for their Airshow.
@bernardowens1648 oh nice Brockvilles a nice area. Im orginal from Pembroke which is right beside Base Petawawa. Out here in Cold Lake they have I think the largest air force base in Canada. They have a training program every year called maple flag and it brings in Air Force from all over the place.
@fullyloadedkustoms Brockville was the "Sister-Town" to Watertown, NY and the golf courses at both towns hosted yearly tournaments where golfers from both towns would travel to each other's courses to play. And, my dad took our family to a nice restaurant there for Mother's Day in 1968.

Having keys is such a a great way to start off a project. The last time I bought a vehicle that had a set of keys with it was back in 2014 haha. Definitely been a while, glad you enjoyed the video. That would be pretty sweet to be able to get help on some of these projects. I've been telling my younger brother from Ontario to move down and help me out build some cars lol. There's definitely some really nice Ferrari PPG colors that would look great on this. They have a tri-stage red color that I really like. I'm just heading down to the city there today to pick up a 700R4 transmission for the 91 Firebird. Last weekend I also picked up a turbo Trans Am hood for it as well.
Oh really that's awesome! I'm pretty sure I'll be painting this car back to the silver and red combination. Just have to add the lower striping decals to it as well

Yeah this one was all decked out with the sound system amp and subwoofer. Would be nice if it has the Box that sits flush with the back hatch. I've seen a couple 3rd gen Camaros that are painted in a black and gold scheme and have the gold style Iroc rims on them they look pretty Sharp and would also match that tan interior really well too
From the US, just say Zed lol always make these videos better seeing canadans or austrailians, Japanese or whatever the person may be, enjoy the cars we have standard since its usually the other way around lol

Just found your channel on a revival video binge. Being from Texas, it's weird to see a near fully loaded car with no A/C, also odd to see no cruise control or power locks on a car with all the options, back in the day when you could pick and choose your options. Lastly, Ricky would be proud of the first hood prop.
Yeah, it's weird in this area of Canada. There are a lot of classic vehicles that don't have the AC option. I would be assuming it's because the summertime it doesn't get overly hot and unbearable with the heat out here. Haha, perfect making Ricky proud haha
I'm 100% building a replica of my high school Camaro on the channel. I found the hood scoops for it online and know how to airbrush the flames now too. But this time around that cars gonna need something like a 383 Stroker in it. Give it the horse power it never had

Keep it red…and add one of those stupid black vinyl bras to needlessly complicated and cluttered. My 83 was in much better shape, had 15” Punch woofers where the back seat is supposed to be. And I had the most ingenious custom multi-faceted auto anti-theft system…. A kill switch wired up so you had to push the cigarette lighter in to get it to start. Lol!

Other than not in that dent in the fender and the crack on the ground effects on the passenger side it's in really excellent shape

The early third gens (82-84) are definitely my favorite. Mainly because that's what I had in high school but I also just like the front end, hood, and tail lights better.
Yeah I'm definitely a fan of these ones especially since the motors were all carbureted. Definitely make some a lot easier to work with having the less electronics in them. Same here I always like that front end of the earlier 3rd gens too. What year and color was your Camaro in high school?

Yes I graduated in 84🇨🇱Abd several of my pals had these gen 3 ,and Square bodies ,C-3s,Gen 2- Z28s,my close friend had one of the 1st sold at our local dealership,Dark Brown/tan interior/gold package trim V-6,nothing like new car smell😄

Hey thanks yeah I definitely felt way better after that car was detailed. The seats are in fantastic shaping this thing the only thing I really need to replace would be about the carpet. And just reupholster or reglue the T-top headliner. Oh nice that's awesome what color is your 1991 Pontiac Trans am? I would have really loved to have found a Trans Am in metallic blue like your 91 Firebird, which also is a nice car with a super nice interior. I haven't started my Trans Am in a few months so I plan on doing a cold start video of the car this week.

As a red 1983 Z28 owner, i may be biased, but i really think you should keep it the factory red with its silver ground effects like it is. Also, from the factory, this car wouldve had orange stripes just above the ground effects all the way around the car. Dont forget the stripes, they really make these red cars pop!

My first car was an 84 trans-am painted brown with a small flake in it (GM OEM paint). It was a nice car. so yea go with the rootbeer. It will look awesome.
Oh nice my buddy Rich back home in Ontario. Has a metallic Brown 84 Trans Am looks really good his is the only one I've ever seen in that color before. That's definitely what got me thinking that the root beer candy would look really good on it too.

14:22 on my 82 i use broken hockey sticks as hood or rear window prop rods.. using the same wooden Sherwood stick the last 4 decades. Lol. The original 1982 gas struts lasted 15 years in the back and say half that amount for the hood..😊
You just can't beat a good Sherwood brand hockey stick they last forever haha.15 yesrs out of a gas strut that's wild lol I swear every car I've gotten of these the gas struts are always gone haha.

I turned 16 in 1988 and my first car was a 1985 IROC-Z with the LB9 TPI 305. I haven’t driven a third gen since I sold that car around 1993. I have so many fond memories associated with that car. Im completely out of garage space ( I’m even storing one car at my father’s house) and I am in no way wanting to sell any of my cars…. But I am jonesing for a 3rd gen Camaro. It may be time to buy a lift and start stacking cars 🤔

@@fullyloadedkustoms…it was silver with red decals. The car was totaled soon after I sold it. It was a first year IROC, in the rarest color, with the top performing engine option and a rare non T-top car from year with lowest IROC production. Shame it got recycled into soup cans.

Arizona here! It’s 65-70 degrees every day right now. But, we pay for it in the summertime. My first car was a red 85 Camaro, so great to see this one get a new life again!
Oh nice that sounds like great weather compared to out here lol. But I've seen some of the temperatures there in the summertime it definitely gets hot. Have to plan to take a trip down to Arizona sometime for a cruise I've never been to that area before it would make for a great road trip. Don't worry about the zed thing, here in EU we initially learn British English so it's also "zed" for me 😄 - and in my native language German it's "zett", which is close to "zed" as well :). It's winter time here as well now, close to 0°C, it's gonna snow soon...I used to like winter, but the older you get the less you like it 😄. I never liked hot weather either, so I enjoy spring and fall the most when it's around 15-20 °C.

@@csavage63 100% doable to get that 92 up and running again, I pulled a 91 Firebird out of the wrecking yard last summer it sat in the yard for at least 10 years. Got it running and driving with no keys and a Vats system and drove it out of there. These 3rd gens can be brought back to life

And after I found those I really got to thinking I have to make a replica of my high school car. Same here I really like that 90 to 91 RS ground effects kit with the Scoops I think it looks really good
I had a 83 z28, something about those earlier years on these 3rd gens the seats seem to hold up very well over time, super comfortable. Nice job man!

Same here I definitely cannot wait to get back to doing body work and paint on a project. Green and gold is such a good color combination. I painted a 1991 Caprice lowrider and a gold and Candy green color combination and it looked incredible when I was finished. Those color's go really well together. The greens really nice too because it stands out you definitely don't see too many of those ones around 👍🏻

Hey, a red 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z28 305 5.0Liter V8 TPI With race homo-legation undercarriage and 5 speed manual Borg-Warner drivetrain with 4 diskbrakes owner here, Please keep her Red and by all means do not upgrade the engine (LS-swap or someting) because you will chew up your entire Borg-Warner drivetrain. If you must LS-Swap this Camaro, then swap out the entire drive train as wel, capable to handle the Horse power and Torque the LS in the end comes with. And please when you turn off the engine by key, the power really is off when you press down the key release button behind the key so you can turn the key all the way back so both arrows on the key/contact actually point to each other.... ask me how I know....
Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay with that Color combination Red/Silver I also will add the lower decals that should be on the car too. Me and my dad were recently out at the pick and pull and picked up a door and a fender for the camaro too. Now I have all the parts I needed to repaint this car and get it ready for the road again

Leave it red, looks old school and cool. When I was 15 I got an 87 firebird and its maroon and gold. I originally hated the color but I grew to love it and I got the seats redone to be their original red. This car is badass and I love it
Yeah lots of peope are loving this old school Red paint job on the Camaro. It definitely works well with the silver Z28 ground effects kit. Nice that maroon Firebird I bet looks great

Yeah I definitely got a good score on this one. I ended up picking up this Camaro for $1,500 canadian which works out to be about $1100 us. Can't wait to start the tear down process on this and get it ready for paint

Great video. My wife (girlfriend at the time) bought a brand new 1983 Camaro Z28, black with grey black interior. We live in the gta, just north of Toronto, Ontario. She didn’t drive it in the winter so it was mint and Was a good car. I sold it for her a few years later but we enjoyed it while she had it.

My 1st was a 82 z28 350/T350 trans, it was blue with grey skirts, it rotted away😞, my second was a 88 sport coupe with a 305/700r4,all rattle can black indy 500 hood, i had 387,000 miles on it when the engine blew😞, these cars schooled me on how to improvise, best sitting position for bad back ppl too its like a beach chair.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that just before I posted on the truck series. That way I can kind of use that video as a poll to find out which car to paint after I'm finished up with the truck series either the 91 Firebird or that 83 Camaro. Thinking when I get back from the city I'm going to work on doing a quick video on the three of them. Before I post the first video on the truck series.
I had a 1982. Z28 same color. It was a crossfire engine. Crashed it back in 2003. I like the one you have better. Yours doesn't have the Crossfire engine for 1. And yours has T-tops. Very nice. Red is the right color too. 😊👍

I am so glad I live in Florida, feel so bad for you. I cannot function in extreme cold or heat but can handle the heat a lot better than the cold, anything below 50 degrees farenheit is to cold for me. Great video.

I don’t know how much the real estate prices are in Canada but many people sell their properties up north and buy houses cash down here because of the price difference. Yeah same here I don't think I have ever seen one done in a root beer candy before. My Buddy Rich back home has a 1984 Trans Am done in an orginal brown metallic that looks really good. And that root beer candy and gold accents would look extremely well together👍🏻

My first car was a 1983 camaro Z28. beige with a brown bottom. I bought it in 1994 and still have it. But now its 1997 ford thunderbird pacific green.

Yeah I'm liking the red color on it the red looks pretty nice. There's a few red colors that I was looking at for it already. A yellow color will be definitely different don't see too many of those around Ferrari has a amazing metallic yellow PPG color. I also do like that old school pale kind of yellow too that you would see in a lot of mid 60s cars.

I have an 87 Z28 and it was red like yours and I got side swiped on the passenger side door and fender and my body guy who was supposed to be my friend talked me into painting it Viper blue because he owned a couple of them and gave me a break on the paint. My interior is black cloth seats . Long story short, I wished I had left it pull me over red 😂!!! Although that maroon looked pretty nice too. Your call sir. Another third gen back on the road. Awesome 👍🏻!!!

Yeah this Camaro is in fantastic shape. A lot of these that have been able to find are in pretty good shape with very minimal rust. Good thing for the dry climate we got out in this area in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Had this been in Ontario car she might have rusted in half already with all the salt down there haha. But this one's going to make for a solid project can't wait to tear into it.

Paint it deep red/burgundy. Possibly keep the bottom silver, but use a vibrant silver if you do that.

I’m from Ontario and Canadian tire or “Newfie Speedsport” is always the go-to for parts. They have a wide selection of everything now especially on weekends. Any thing from dealerships is going to require you mortgaging your home.
I have quite a few jobber parts store here that I get most of my parts from and princess auto and TSC is another good place to get stuff from.
Ohh nice what part of Ontario? I'm originally from Pembroke Ontario. I've been out in Alberta for the past 15 years there now. I'm hoping to be able to go back home in the summertime and set up a big car show down there. Just trying to work stuff out with the city to find all the details on a car show event before I plan anything. We have a lord co auto parts and parts source out here I normally go to. Except they are 3 hours away in Edmonton 😆
I had a 3rd gen camaro forget what year it was but I will say this it was so fun to drive I loved driving it in my opinion it was dam well built car had 200,000 miles but ran like a dream was well taken care off too I feel In love with it had t tops whole nine yards unfortunately I had to get rid of it had the money but not the time to do what I wanted too with it I always said it was my dream car one of them and one day I'm gonna buy another one deff keep it red love to see you restore this car.

A nice medium dark metallic copper colour would look great on that body style and goes well with the interior.
I've had a few comments now suggesting copper color. I recent came seen that on a 3rd gen Trans Am looks really good on these cars.

You found a good investment. For this car I would say go on a road trip. Someplace that is warm. Highlight everything mechanical that you think, would need to be done on the car that can at least survive a1500 mile road trip. Go after creature conforts inside the car, like new seats. And outside, like rear suspension upgrades if need be. Maybe even buying a professionally made hitch and towing a trailer in an 83 Camaro :) Get rid of the crusty IROC wheels and go 16x8 OEM replacement wheels. Basically, just demostrate that these cars can still function and have purpose.
Yeah this is a really good car I picked up. I ended up purchasing the Camaro for $1,500 Canadian which works out to about $1100 usd. My plan for either this one or my 91 Firebird is to build and restore it and then drive it across Canada in the spring so that I'm able to help my younger brother paint his 87 Cutlass and also throw a big car show in my hometown of Pembroke Ontario at the same time. I think the rough distance would be about 2600 miles. To go from where I live in Alberta to Pembroke Ontario. It would definitely make for a great series. I would be redoing all the seat foam interior carpets new paint job exhaust rims and tires and try to keep each build in a lower bracket budget that's easily affordable for most people.

A friend of mine just bought 2 third gens..1 is supposed to be an 85 Iroc Z28 305 auto.and the other is supposedly an 87 RS 2.8 5 speed,converted from auto, with an 82 or 83 nose on it...
Ohh nice that's awesome I recently just came across a 86 Iroz Z sitting in a wrecking yard I'm hoping to pick it up and rebuild it as long as the VIN number rolls back OK to rebuild and it was decommissioned. What color are your friends camaros? The one I was looking at was a blue color I think it's identical to my.91 Firebird
That sure looks VERY familiar, I had a 1983 Z28 a couple years ago, canadian car as well so no computer control, no AC, TH200C, red on silver, but it had no option and base interior in charcoal. It had the funny clock in the center console you got if you didn't order a radio. It was so basic it didn't have rear speakers or even the openings for them in the rear panel, and no antenna hole in the fender either. Sweet car, not fast but a simple lovely cruiser.
Oh nice that's right on so you pretty much had the identical looking car that's cool. Yeah exactly it would make for a great Cruiser. I would really like to redo this Camaro or the 91 Firebird over the winter time and take one of those two. And drive it across Canada which is roughly 2600 miles to my hometown in Pembroke Ontario and help my younger brother paint his 87 Cutlass in the spring. Would definitely make for a great road trip and would also help my younger brother good also get my family in some more RUclips videos would make for a great time

First off, I love your F body videos. I myself love the F bodies, as I bought a '97 Firebird Convertible last Feb. EXCELLENT shape, loved the driving season this yr but sadly she is in my storage unit now till April. It's cold now in IA, USA and we had 2" of snow here Saturday. Oh well.....keep it up, best wishes!!!

Yeah definitely looks to have been sprayed probably within the last 10 to 15 years I would have to guess nothing's really flaking off it yet. It's good possibility that's maybe what has happened. I'm definitely going to find out once I start sanding on and see how many different colors it might be.

I definitely lucked out with this 83 Camaro. I ended up picking up for $1,500 Canadian which is roughly about $1,100 usd. Really glad I decided to knock on that door and find out if it was for sale. That's what I'm thinking too a dark red would be really great on this car

I'm jealous. A few years ago, I bought an '87 IROC but it ended up being more rusted out than I thought and is now a parts car for my '86 sport coupe. Wish I had waited and bought something like what you got in MUCH better shape.
Anxious to see what you do to it. I'd also keep it red, personally, even though I am partial to Metallic Blue.
I actually just came across a 86 Iroc yesterday I'm 100% considering picking that car up to build it's in pretty good shape. And at $600 Canadian I don't think you can go wrong there. This 86 I found I would love to paint it a metallic Blue color

I totally understand the "Zed" thing. I'm retired Air Force. I've had trips to Canada as well as lots of trips to England. Zed is common for Z. Love your channel!!!
Thanks I really appreciate that. Oh nice right on if you were in the Air Force and had trips up to Canada you must have been up to Cold Lake Alberta for Maple flag? I was getting a few comments here from people in the UK too who said that the English they use it's pronounced Zed as well.

@fullyloadedkustoms Never been to Alberta. Twice as a kid to Brockville, Ontario as my dad was also Air Force and assigned to a Radar Site in Upstate New York and once while I was in to London, Ontario for their Airshow.
@bernardowens1648 oh nice Brockvilles a nice area. Im orginal from Pembroke which is right beside Base Petawawa. Out here in Cold Lake they have I think the largest air force base in Canada. They have a training program every year called maple flag and it brings in Air Force from all over the place.
@fullyloadedkustoms Brockville was the "Sister-Town" to Watertown, NY and the golf courses at both towns hosted yearly tournaments where golfers from both towns would travel to each other's courses to play. And, my dad took our family to a nice restaurant there for Mother's Day in 1968.

Having keys is such a a great way to start off a project. The last time I bought a vehicle that had a set of keys with it was back in 2014 haha. Definitely been a while, glad you enjoyed the video. That would be pretty sweet to be able to get help on some of these projects. I've been telling my younger brother from Ontario to move down and help me out build some cars lol. There's definitely some really nice Ferrari PPG colors that would look great on this. They have a tri-stage red color that I really like. I'm just heading down to the city there today to pick up a 700R4 transmission for the 91 Firebird. Last weekend I also picked up a turbo Trans Am hood for it as well.

Yeah that Camaro fired right up. The starter on the 1991 Firebird having the same issues it although it clicks clicks clicks then catches and fires the car up right after

Yeah this one was all decked out with the sound system amp and subwoofer. Would be nice if it has the Box that sits flush with the back hatch. Oh nice that's awesome Maui blue is a fantastic looking color. The 88 Firebird I recently picked up under the black rattle can spray paint is Maui blue such a nice looking color👌🏻 how long have you had that Firebird for?

I can’t believe you scored such a great car right off the bat! Everything worked and you really didn’t have to do much to get it driving again. Good for you! My first choice would be the original color, if not, then the color of the Iroc that you showed us. I hope you show us the actual painting part, that would be cool.

Yeah I've definitely got a lot of comments that people like the original red color on the car. It definitely stands out for sure. I will be doing an entire paint series on this Camaro from start to finish. I'll probably break the videos down into 4 parts
1) vehcile tear down
2) body work primer
3) paint /clear coat wet sand polish
4)reassemble/ final product
Is kinda what I'm thinking definitely can't wait to get the paint fun in my hand to paint it that's for sure 👍🏻

I've seen a couple 3rd gen Camaros that are painted in a black and gold scheme and have the gold style Iroc rims on them they look pretty Sharp and would also match that tan interior really well too

From the US, just say Zed lol always make these videos better seeing canadans or austrailians, Japanese or whatever the person may be, enjoy the cars we have standard since its usually the other way around lol

I would repaint it the same color but I would jerk that 305 out and put a small block 400 in it. It would bolt right up with minimal change.
Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll be going back with the Red and the silver on this Camaro and adding the Z28 graphics stripes too. Small block 400 would make for a nice touch in this car 👍🏻

The dark red maroon color with gold color trim in headlight areas and rockers Trim and also in hood scoop area . I had a 1984 that way way nice
Oh nice the Dark Maroon color with Gold Highlights and a tan interior would be a really nice combination to have on this car it would look really good. I bet that 1984 camaro looked really nice 👌🏻

Just found your channel on a revival video binge. Being from Texas, it's weird to see a near fully loaded car with no A/C, also odd to see no cruise control or power locks on a car with all the options, back in the day when you could pick and choose your options. Lastly, Ricky would be proud of the first hood prop.
Yeah, it's weird in this area of Canada. There are a lot of classic vehicles that don't have the AC option. I would be assuming it's because the summertime it doesn't get overly hot and unbearable with the heat out here. Haha, perfect making Ricky proud haha

I'm 100% building a replica of my high school Camaro on the channel. I found the hood scoops for it online and know how to airbrush the flames now too. But this time around that cars gonna need something like a 383 Stroker in it. Give it the horse power it never had
