    I use mesh mixer all the time these days. Had it for years and I’ve just been exploring what it can do. Didn’t even know how the slice worked. Thanks

    I make 3 copies of the pin, and make a hole on each part then the pin is on its own so if your pin doesn’t fit you can reprint just the pin to more accurately fit or sand to fit.
    If the flat surface has a fixed pin, it is a pain to sand around.
    Then you also can sand the faces of the model flat, if it has any bowing, 2 large flat faces are easier to sand but still a pain. So I make the pin large and shallow to reduce the surface area so the bowing happens inside the recess and your edges are neat with less area to flat sand.

    @TechClub I think I may have diagnosed your crashing issue, as I was having a similar problem and I noticed something. Meshmixer only crashes when doing the Boolean union/difference IF I don't press enter after modifying the border rings value. If you're noticing you're crashing consistently when using these two operations, make sure you hit enter before clicking accept. Hope this helps!

    at the 7:07 mark i really dont know what your doing or saying even with the transcript wasnt making sense and the video wasnt very clear it was hazy maybe its my computer ... so for those that are not versed in meshmixer use intersection curves what did you enter there because i cant make heads or tails of it

    I cant for whatever reason do 'target edge scale' to '0.25' without the program locking up and crashing. All the other settings apply, and go through their loading bars. Anyone else have this issue? I am just going between two simple flat objects, with this peg.

    Great video! This may be a stupid question but how would I scale the different parts to still fit together before I print?

    • @techclub8528
      @techclub8528  Год назад +1

      Put them in a slicer and scale them by a percent, then they will all match after resize

    How is your "WORK AREA" huge in mesh mixer?

  • @parvariramin
    @parvariramin Год назад

    hi ‏Why did I cut and slice my model into pieces with Meshmixer and then put the pieces together vertically in Cura, there were approximately 24 pieces that I was able to prepare for printing in 3 times in Cura, i.e. in 3 stl files, my problem is that I printed the first layer It is printed like a net, which means that it is not like my other prints that the first layer is correct, clean and smooth, what is the problem? I have adjusted my models from left to right and horizontal to vertical to fit more in Cura

    Did you resize one of your locator pins? and if yes how much (mm) did you substract/add to one of the pin?

    • @kingbaaka3D
      @kingbaaka3D Год назад

      he did it by 1 mm, with the transform settings and he dent show it but had already did it here 7:54.

    • @dave882
      @dave882 6 месяцев назад

      0.1 mm he said, for a resin printer that’s probably good. For fdm I’d do a much bigger pin and probably .2-.3mm tolerance for good bonding.

    18 on the male part and 17 on the female part? Is that intentional, or should they both have been 18? @TechClub

    • @techclub8528
      @techclub8528  Год назад

      I think both 18 but wont make much difference

    • @bigbaz-1218
      @bigbaz-1218 Год назад

      intentional 2 18s is going to be tight but a 17 and 18 fits in easier that sounds really bad if you dont know what were talking about
