- I transformed this dark and dated hutch into something bright and modern by stripping and painting. I left some of the original wood grain shining through and painted the base. Amazing transformation.
Easy furniture flip or DIY project. Trash to treasure.

Much more Friendly for a Modern Home! The work on the exposed wood is Beautiful. It Looks Completely Different!
Thank you. I think so too.
The exposed wood grain on this hutch is BEAUTIFUL!!! So glad to see refurbished quality furniture SAVED instead to the common fad of painting it all over. GORGEOUS!!
Thank you so much.
It's so pretty now! WHO KNEW such gorgeous woodgrain was hiding under that dark gunky finish. Wow. I love nothing more than to see an old piece get a new lease on life because someone saw the potential and reimagined it. Great save! ❤
Thank you!
The light wood is gorgeous. The paint makes the piece very casual. If that was what you intended, it works. Interesting choice.
Thank you!
Big transformation. Like the paint color. It goes well with the natural wood.
Wow the natural grain and grey go beautiful together ❤
Thank you!
It’s now a beautiful and useful piece of furniture to Grace any style home. Bravo
Glad you like it!
Wow, the wood grain is gorgeous! Love the paint color with the bare wood affect, looks very stylish! Beautiful job! 😊❤
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Wow. Yes! Much better.
Stunning! What a transformation. I
love everything about it. You have an eye.
Glad you like it!
I’m not a fan of painting furniture, but the wood grain is beautiful. Changing that dated trim into an inlay was a marvelous idea!
Thank you.
I loved the way you reimagined the piece. I can see it in a modern home. The large china cabinets don’t usually fit, physically or decoratively. Thanks for sharing. Glad it sold.😊
I agree. It is hard to make these older pieces look better in modern homes. Thanks.
Love the paint/wood look.
Thanks!
What a great project!!! Looks beautiful 😍
Thank you so much.

Thank you. It was just so dark before.
Very beautiful ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
Very pretty!
Thanks!
The wood grain is awsome. The prep work is thorough and very well done. As for the paint color, it may not be the best choice of a cold hue with warm wood essence. Perhaps colors combinations should take into account harmony between these 2 elements. Congrats on work well done.
Thanks 👍
Nice
Thanks
The wood is lovely but I don't get the paint at all. It makes it look like a cheap pressboard. Sorry.
The person who bought it loved it. Thanks
Not my cup of tea but you put so much work into it.
Wow you did it a great job, it's beautiful. Do you think removing the front skirt on the bottom affected the stability or was it just decorative?
It was just decorative. The side skirts affected the stability, so I kept those.
Paint is for walls.
The person who bought it loved it. Everyone has their own taste.
The wood was beautiful. Why does a makeover or making it better always include lets paint it?
The parts that I painted were a lower quality of wood and would have been too dark. The person who bought it loved it.
The wood is beautiful, but I don’t think that the paint matched the aesthetic of the pieces. I would strip that off and stain the piece. Wood tones would be better.
The person who bought it loved it. Thanks for the comments.
nope

That’s the thing about cheap nasty reproductions.
No matter what you do. , money yoh throw at them.
They still look like cheap nasty reconfigured reproductions.
Thanks for the comments.
@@Randyshufflesfurniture your welcome. 👍
