I love this and take it a step further. We SHOULD admit these mistakes. I have told my children for years (and sincerely believe it) that we learn more from our mistakes then our successes. Additionally, to fix a "mistake" it's better to know how we got to that point than to try and figure it out. When people cover up their mistakes, it just makes everyone that much more uncomfortable AND it takes longer to get to the solution.
Many people in the past got married without barely knowing each other was there trust? I hardly doubt it since neither of the parties knew each other 70 years later still together living with trust? And people who are lovey dovey have been gf and bf after establishing trust split up. I think trust is an individual definition. I trust people right away because seeing and meeting many people daily by now my gut feeling never fails me.
I think you confuse the definition of trust with learned experience. Your gut says you should pursue getting to know someone more based on your life experience. The trust starts out at a certain level. There is a base level of trust we give everyone we meet. That level of trust increases or decreases by their actions. Also you are looking at pre-arranged marriage. Most marriages were not pre arranged. Some were but majority were based around a relationship. A relationship built from trust of some form. In today's world, relationships are built from trust, communication and respect. Trust is like love. It is dependant on the situation and person.
At opinionwolf I am not talking about arrange marriage I just provided as an example it could be a blind date or meeting someone at the public location for the first time. You either trust a person or you don’t has nothing to do with past or present experience.

Old time, people gad prinples and value, trust was built up on a strong basis 🎉
But they had trust in their parents and community that had arranged the marriage. It was being done for the right reasons, with the right people …
