I'm finally ready to play Xenoblade 3! What characters from Xenoblade 2 do y'all expect to show up once the game drops?
Probably Pyra/Mythra, Poppi, Zeke and Pandy, and possibly Malos and Rex
Rex, Pyra, Mythra, and Poppi
I hope Poppi appears.
@@TriforceZard idk man, how old would rex be at that point?
I already know of two from the trailers
I feel like for Ursula’s blade quest they should have let you just press the A button when the notification telling you that she has returned so that they just get resent with the same party. Maybe the ability to make preset parties for merc missions would be nice in a XC2DE like 15 years from now.
Xenoblade 2 could benefit so heavily from a "Definitive Edition" sort of remaster, I'd love one.
@@BusterSwordUser Yeah, especially if you read the development history of the and data mine it. They had to do so much with so little.
More like 2 years from now. I think XC2: DE should be a launch title on the next Nintendo console.
Ursula's blade quest the reason why 100% speedruns are imposible. Setting aside the fact that you're at the mercy of the RNG in regards of when the game gives her to you, the fact that it takes THIS long to complete it makes it completely AGONIZING.
@@spouwnerring .....It is awfull, but not that awefull, it is fortune that the merc mission system exists, so you can have Ursula do blade quests while you do other stuff. The most unfortune things is that we do all this for Ursula and we never get to listen to her sing. We get something touching but for all the quests, I was hoping for a song out of the blade.
One of the most fascinating and impressive things about XC2 to me, is the game being put together by a skeleton crew and still turning out as good as it did. I recall reading a UI lead leaving mid development to help somewhere else.
Having a lot of staff gutted to help with other projects like Zelda must have been tough. I can imagine that some of the issues present might not have been if the team wasn't gutted during development.
That makes XC3 all the more exciting. Full development team intact along with more understanding of the hardware. Plus with Xenoblade being a known success, Nintendo will do more for the game compared to the unknown at the time XC1.
Nintendo screwed over Xenoblade 2 by taking away developers to work on BotW and not extending the deadline.
@@ShallBePurified At least now Monolith hires a lot for support work so they don't have to gut their main team anymore.
My main gripe with XC2 was the fucking annoying gacha blade mechanic. It really took out all the fun for me, managing them was a chore, I dropped it 30 hours in and just watched plot summaries to understand possible appearances in XC3
Its still my favorite Xenoblade(haven't played 3 yet)
My only problem with the game was it not remembering the highest level gathering stat and having to change your party every time you wanted to pass a skill check
@@ThundraBoy666 The game itself was amazing but the gacha system was dog shit. It just screamed, "We're trying this out for our mobile game coming in a few years."
I remember when I first starting watching your content over the Xeno series and I thought you would just play a bit of the first game and move onto something else. I would never have guessed that you would play legitimately every single Xeno game, and 100% quite a few of them. Flyann you have absolutely added so much to the Xeno community and I am thankful that you gave this series a chance and have fallen in love with it as many of us have. The hype for Xenoblade 3 is crazy, and I can't wait to watch you play and inevitably 100% it as well. So once again thank you so much!
I think after playing Saga I can say that I love that KOS-MOS’s leader name is Erde Kaiser and T-Elos’s leader name is Heaven’s Tracker
After 100% ing both games, what’s your verdict on the eternal debate - do you prefer Xenoblade 1, or Xenoblade 2?
I would say 2 is better when it comes to combat.
1 story is a bit of mess, compared to 2 wich you can understand easy.
For DLC, i think torna was better than bionis shoulder.
Collection in 2 is also less anoying compared to 1. It took me forever to finish 1 quest in 1 as i was unable to get a new item easy due to area getting destroyed. (yeah destroyed areas in 1 are very anoying, 2 had the temple, but it was small area and music there was anoying so i was glad it was gone lol).
As for the singing quest, i used shit blades with her to lvl them up and then get rid of them to get items. (while watching breaking bad lol)
Xeno2 for me. Xeno1 was a really great experience overall, but nothing about it blew me away.
Xenoblade 1: better story
Xenoblade 2: better everything else
@@Bullminator I like 2 but the combat in 1 is way better to me. I do think the blades and collecting them all is cool/fun though. I also like the story and characters in 1 more but they’re still good in 2. 3 is now my number one favorite though
XC2 will always hold a special place in my gaming heart. It was my first true JRPG, and I've got pretty rose tinted glasses for it. I can't really disagree with any of your criticisms. But the story, characters, combat, exploration, and especially the soundtrack more than make up for any of it's short comings. Far and away my favorite Xenoblade game. Although I'm on chapter 5 of XC3, and it's very enjoyable!
Thank you for your video sir. Watched it all
My favorite in the series ❤️
just found ur channel a few days ago and love the content man! looking to get into the xeno series myself
We welcome you into the church of Xeno sir 😇
Man, saw some of your 100% run on Twitch. What. A. Ride. You have my utmost respect sir
It is so funny that you had so many issues with XC2 when it comes to slowdowns, bugs, softlocks and so on. I played Xenoblade 2 recently and finished it multiple playthroughs without ever stopping my playthrough and little saving involved. I can see the slide show of images when it comes to loading locations as that one happened to me often but I kept my Switch on for multiple days at a time and never experienced the other issues you had. Perhaps I grew use to them or never noticed but XC2 was definitely one of my favorites.
Respect man. Xenoblade 2 is awesome, and it's got a lot of stuff in it so this was fun to watch. Looking forward to xc3!
I adore the exploration of xc2 and the different titans! And the quests! It’s just my favorite game. I’m so excited for 3!
i like to play this game 2 hours at a time, then play a game of Smash as Pyra and Mythra, rage, and then go back to playing Xeonblade 2 to calm myself
Congratulations!
Honestly, well done man. Seeing your xeno experience has made being a Xenoblade fan even better than I could have ever imagined! Thank you flyann and da flycrew!
Nice to see someone loving this game as well, there is so much unwarranted hate towards this game all around the internet. The exploration in this game is so much fun, and even 3 doesn't come close in this regard.
Awesome vid dude. I can't believe more content creators haven't tried this
I didn’t even know that memory leaks were a thing. I’ve played this game in 8 hour sessions without any problems before, is my game chip just built different 😅
yo anyone know what to do for the royal looking blade dude, i think his name is dagas or something but he needs a bunch of art and whenever i put art on the driver he is on it isn’t being added towards his affinity chart nor is just having the art doing anything either. no clue how to get his affinity mission and i can’t find anything online. i honestly think that the save file is messed up in a way that won’t let me do anything so if anyone knows anything about it help please.
GG mad lad!!!
Everyone playing my favorite Switch game to date 🔥💪🏾 ya love to see it
I just want you to know, I watched 4 seconds of your video and immediately hit subscribe at just the achievement of 100%ing the game and plan on watching more for sure!
Huh I never thought about Morytha just straight up being Zeboim, that's such a cool detail to pick up on!
I truly love XC2 but putting so much pressure to 100% with death line looks stressful! You are the best xeno content creator. And yes comment for algorithm and why not
my theory on it is that what clause did basically split his planet into the temporary dimensions, which were free to change and grow while they were apart. but now in the event's of the 3rd game, both worlds that have been changed immeasurable since they parted have now been smashed back together making a hodgepodge of both settings. can't wait, about 20 hours in.. love theorizing before starting the game, makes you pay attention more during to see if you were correct.
What do you prefer 1 or 2
certified flyann classic
i’m so ready for xenoblade 3, hope it’s good 😂
I'm just glad I got Ursula fairly early on in my playthrough. Most of it was done by the time I got around to reaching the final area and I just had one tier of progress to make which went fine with the amount of side content I still had to do.
3:13 SEGMENT ADDRESS?!
the JPs VA still hits so different, i should get around to doing a full playthrough just for JP VA
bruh I’m out here happy with my 13 seconds against Orion and 24 second with Tyranotitan Kuradil but you are here having 100%ed the game. You’re a legend.
This is my favourite game of all time, and I'm super ready for XC3 to de-throne it.
3 is great but it’s so different in tone. One of my favorite parts about 2 was the more lighthearted tone. The cheery music, more likable characters, etc. 3 is an amazing game but it more dreary and bleak than 2.
so, how do you feel about xc3 now that it's been out for a while?
Xenogears was my first xenogame, then after getting a switch, had to make a decision between XC1 or XC2, chose XC2, and fell in love with the characters and story( also Mythra best girl)
10:58 lol Enel’s thumbnail
2:02 I literally just did that recently as well as getting all the Arts Maxed out and both Trees filled.
I’m getting fired up
I do like that they used Merc Missions to replace the majority of the generic gathering and monster killing quests that didn't have any story to them. I hope they have a similar, or improved, way of handling them in XC3 as well.
I'm actually on the other end of that. The generic quests at least make me feel like I'm playing the game and not just wasting irl time for them to finish. Especially since you can get them out of the way very quickly if you choose to do them. Lastly they keep you nice and leveled up with an abundance of items you may need for later quests. I truly prefer xbc1's style with this.
@@blues4509 Xenoblade X had a pretty good system for them as well, where all the generic quests were posted to a single notice board and you could take up to 30 of them at once. They were always something that you would pick up at the main city and then complete as you went about exploring or doing other sidequests with storylines to them. Kinda similar to Xenoblade 1, but you didn't need to go hunting for the designated generic quest NPC in every area.
@@dragonmaster1500 X is underrated in so many aspects. It's my most replayed xenoblade game, just in love with the game play. It's always a good time with how busted it is when you know what your doing. Digression aside I do agree X was more convenient with it's method for generic side quests. My only problem with it is it didn't feel as personal since you get a brief summary of the mission from a bulletin. In xenoblade 1 when you go and talk to an npc there's always a colorful story and reason they want you to go straight from the character. Admittedly it is frustrating with how every character has their own cyclical locations depending on the time of day that you're supposed to just know. Xenoblade 1 is still my favorite style of generic side quests but it can certainly be improved. Like just making it so you don't need to talk to the right pair of random npcs to increase affinity between two characters for the quest to even spawn or don't have them freaking move every two hours for example. It was novel imo but executed in very obtuse ways that did not feel intuitive to a first time experience. Anyway sorry for the long comment lol
You 100%ed the game in 115 hours?! Holy shit that's what it took me to finish the main story. I know you were doing NG+ but still
I love this game so much
I got like like 3 more affinity charts to complete 370 hours in. I love this game
I was so lucky getting Ursula early. I didn't feel much of the burnout people felt with her quest thingy
Flyann you are the shit glad to see your face again. XB3 let's fucking goooooooooooooo
Xenoblade gang what's the name of the music track at 18:45?
Did you use a guide to 100% both games? Or did you just go on and do it your self?
The best one hands down
The way you pronounce Nopon tells everything about where your heart truly is.
WE DINE TOMORROW
So how long did It actually take you, and is it worth trying myself? I have beaten the game with 65 (approx) hours and were wondering if its worth doing.
I would say its worth it because it introduces and develops the story of all the rare blades as well as the main cast. These side stories also tie into the main story and enhances the world building of Alrest.
You’ve got a really nice voice 💜💜💜
Don't worry. I feel your pain. I have every quest and every Blade S+ ... it only took 300 hours to do it and 480 hours in total.
whyd u delete ur xenoblade x playthrough or unlist it i cant find it
I 100 percented 2 and still wanted more such a class game. 3 will be awesome
"true bared counter" "true hazy moon" "auto attacks can force topple" - orion and chickenheart are evil oh and lets not forget master art
I am still playing the first one and does the second one have anything like colony 6?
No, not really.
8:23 KEYBLADE
Xenoblade 2 DE for Switch 4!
I’ve been excited for XC3 even though I never played 1 or 2 (never even heard of them before), so I figured I’ll play those first in order to really know the lore. Then i realized I’m so damn poor I probably can’t even afford XC1 or XC2, let alone 3. 🙃 I love anticipation.
I would just die.
I’m not even trying to 100% bit this is taking me forever.
Then I have to do Torna.
I had intended to finish 1 and it’s dlc as well before 3, but at this rate it’s likely I’ll find a good plot synopsis.
I already bounced off 1 about 15 hours in.
I had bounced off 2 _twice_ (those cringey clothes and that mess of a combat system!) before learning to love the good.
I don’t have time
I'm currently replaying xenoblade 2 and got stressed because of bug. My game crashed several times on chapter 4, making the game corrupted and have to re-download the whole game several times
No Xenosaga?
I wish this series was on Steam or other Consoles. I'd love to 100% it and feel like I actually got something for it.
Emulation apparently is improving, maybe you can check that out!
This looks like a bell of a journey, thanks for doing it on our Xenofans behalf
Besides a few things Xenoblade 2 needed in the QoL department, the most of the game was fantastically wonderful.
Tbh, the "low anime jokes" didn't bother me in the slightest. People gotta let go of cringing on everything in life(ever since the word became popular is like people almost always feel that). Y'all make it way more bad than it is. Literally. This is not a jab at you, Flyann. More in general in the fanbase and outside of it.
Anyway, it was lovely hearing your thoughts on Xenoblade games after 100%. You are a gem in the community. Your positive outlook even when criticizing certain aspects of the games is nice. More of that. People go to extremes when voicing their thoughts, but you were level-headed and straight to the point.
Can't wait for Xenoblade 3 content from ya! 🔥
Great Video.. if it would load :/
How are you not burnt out lol I barely got by speed running 1 DE, FC, 2, and Torna before 3.
“I didn’t do every little thing.”
Well it’s not 100%, is it?
2 is great and I'm tired of people saying it's not. Haven't finished X but other than that I think each one has gotten better as it's gone. I say 3>Torna>2>1
Heh, 115 hours, puts in to perspective how much grinding's available in this game, on 600 hours and only just started on 2nd driver skill chart 😅
You poor soul.
I just recently played Xenoblade 2 for the first time, and casually pulled Kos-Mos very early on. My brother's reaction was priceless when he saw it in a totally unrelated screenshot I sent him. I had literally zero clue that Kos-Mos was that rare lol
KOS-MOS legit took me 250 hours to get. I got every blade within 100 hours except her. Then.. it probably took me thousands of cores before it finally happened
@@countryboyred such an unfair system. sorry it took you that long!
@@_samikoivisto when it finally happened i literally screamed for joy. Then I said “no more gacha ever again”
Getting 100% on Xenoblade 2 was great. Yes, some Blades were frustrating, but I once got Cloud and Barret to level 65 or so before the first boss in FF7 way back in the day. Why, you ask? I mean, why not, I love the grind sometimes.
You are a legend, I hate grind
I 100% the base game. Took just under 300 hrs. It was fun, the more you do the more you are rewarded
Yea boi S-Tier waifus in coming 😍
I try the XC2 100% the problem is I'm not lucky
tora okay when not being creepypon
200hrs still no bunny girl :(
Well if I couldn't 100% any of the Xenoblade games I'll definitely 100% Xenoblade Chronicles 3
"100% the main games" shaddaaaap where's X bro HUH??
(Jk it's impossible)
I would disagree on the comment on the tone conflicting. The game certainly has more lighthearted moments but these moments aren't that close to the more serious ones. And tone is allowed to shift and change. Like in the example you used you took a moment from the end if chapter 3 and the end of chapter 4 which are essentially hours apart from each other. Is that not enough time for the tone to lighten up a bit? Even considering that moment with the Mythra scene near the beginning of chapter 4, there's around 15 min of cutscenes alone between those two moments, not considering any playtime spent between them. And each cutscene is progressively less and less serious with its tone that by the time we reach the latter scene we have the room for such levity, regardless if one laughed or enjoyed it.
He's right. Honestly, the tone of the game is a disaster. Tone is the frequency everything resides in. You can have a time that is serious (ala xenosaga and gear) and work light and dark elements into that while keeping it serious. This game feels like completely different projects it shifts so much.
@@cemarz how is it a disaster though? Xenoblade 2 doesn't really have those times where they take a very serious moment and stuff a joke in the middle of it. Then the tone would actually be conflicting cause it's asking one to feel two opposite emotions at the same time. Getting serious in one moment doesn't mean you have to stay at around that level of seriousness through the rest of the story. Having a very serious moment then 30-60 min later it's more lighthearted then like 2-3 hours after that there's another serious moment is not having conflicting tone. There is plenty of time for that tone to shift and give some room for those more lighthearted moments, epecially when each subsequent scene is making effort to raise or lower the tone from the previous one to reach the level they want by the time the next moment comes around. TV shows and movies often do similar types of shifts in less time.
I don't necessarily find XBC2's tone to be that conflicting. I mean people love the Yakuza series, or MGS, games that can wildly shift between super serious to completely whacky and weird depending on what you're doing, and it works somehow.
I think the simple truth is that a lot of people just don't really like the tone that XBC2 chose. Its brand of anime humor just isn't going to be everyone's taste. When you don't enjoy the humor then the tonal whiplash is going to be a lot more apparent and irksome.
After 1230 Hours of Playing this game. Ursula's quest was the one most annoying quest in the game.
Tora will definitely always be my favorite Nopon.
Ursula isn't so bad since it's mostly passive and offscreen.
Screw Vess and Poppibuster tho...
You can turn off enemy detection entirely with the DLC. I did that back on my first playthough.
I understand the cringe Anime moments you felt. I hope they will be more serious like in XC1.
But I and all my Friends that have played both games think that Rex is the worst thing in the series. He always things and acts like a child and his ENG Va is so bad when it comes to emotional moments. He destroys most emotional scenes in the game and its just sad.
I still love this game tough.
Thats because rex is a literal child, it would be way more cringe for him to not act like a child.
I don't think I 100% agree with exploration, I feel like the map is great and itself would be fun to explore, but each exploration mechanic are very poorly thought out.
I liked the gatcha system too. I spent hours farming legendary crystals to get every blade.
Field skills aren't as bad as people say because you can use common blades to stack them. People are just lazy and don't pay attention to the dialogue in the game admittedly the tutorials sucked but I was able to blindly play the game and do most of the content without a guide.
You monster
Field skills (and the gacha blades what not) are usually what stops me from replaying 2. I really hope they don't implement that into 3, or if they do then a heavily altered version of it.
I thought stuff carried over to new game plus? That’s a problem if it doesnt.
@@anigmatic2949 yes, literally all of your progress is carried over to New Game+.
The NG+ is really worth doing IMO. It adds lots of new blades and some QOL features such as bards, that, for example, allow you to exchange your Extra Exp (the one you use to level up characters at inns) for the Ether Crystals used to upgrade Poppi, making you able to get these more easily, without grinding Tiger Tiger!
My favorite moments are blushy crushy, mythra sleepwalking, etc... I found this game only about 8 or so months ago (Never even heard of Xeno anything before that), my friend did a playthrough for me because i wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it and we both loved those anime moments a lot and it really helped my decision to buy the game and do my own playthrough. I'm now on NG+ with over 300 hours and trying to 100% the game but I'm taking my time with it, not speed running or rushing or setting a deadline, just enjoying the game and the world and taking breaks to do other things.
I understand the pain Ursula has brought you, she was my last blade to get, I had to farm and eventually use a total of 341 rare and legendary core crystals each for a total of 682 core crystals...I will never forget the disappointment I felt every time I pulled common blade after common blade.
Funny, Ursula was one of my first. KOS-MOS however.. 250 hours later and I finally got her.
Ursula made me hate 100%ing... Because she was one of the last things I had to do.... I was just sitting around waiting for the mercs to finish my run!
Bro is xenoholic
📂
Man I really hate the "cringe moments" that you described. I don't think they're very common (in fact I think they drop off completely after chapter 5) but I know way too many people that just wrote off the entire Xenoblade series because of them
Theres a few in the main story, and I'd say around 5 in quests otherwise, with a fair few heart to hearts having potentially cringy moments.
It's like 10% of the total story, tops.
Ultimately though, that's kinda how the world works sometimes. There has definitely been a person who lost their child in some horrific accident, learned they have severe cancer, and on their walk back home did a looney toons style near-fall for like 20s... shit just... happens.
Play xenoblade 3 pls
I wish I didn't dislike blade 2 voice so much after playing the saga games.
