    I like the easy peel-off stickers which leave no residue. I use sponge filters but haven't tried Hygger sponges. I really like the inline water pump on the one and I truly must try it. I like the versatility of these type sponges & the only beef I find is as the filter ages, the suction cups lose their suction ability so you have to buy more. I wish there was a hang over the side hanger that would hold these filters without me worrying about "when" the suction cups will fail. And that goes the same for any product using suction cups to hold items in place. That is my absolute biggest hobby product peeve.
    Thanks for this product review and thanks to Hygger for sponsoring you in bringing a new to me product (waterpump spongefilter) to light. Please do a one/two year review after continuous use.

      hmmmmm possibly something we can have friends with a 3D printer try and come up with a product that holds them in place, or maybe try a rabbit water bottle holder thingy? I dont know just spit ballin here haha. I will say these suction cups at least stuck compared to other products where you stick em and a hour later they fall off and are at the bottom of the tank. Oh and I will defiantly come back at a later date down the road and show how they are performing. Maybe a year check in and do a month, 3 month, 3 month, 9 month and 12 months check in all in one vid

    Technically the ridges don't actually increase surface area, they decrease it because the material is porous so the more total volume of material the more surface area you have. If it was a solid block of wood or something sure, but those ridges are mostly there to help direct debris in their instead so it can tap the larger particulates in the water easier

    My only issue with these filters is the suction cups. Maybe it's just me, but suction cups always fail for me. It doesn't matter if we're talking these filters or heaters or anything else. They do not stay suctioned. I bought the smallest sponge filter they have and, it was floating within 36 hours.

    • @Lefty3213a
      @Lefty3213a  2 года назад +1

      So far so good for me, way better than thermometer or heater ones from PetSmart. Do you suction them first then add water or water then suction?
