Raga Maand, one of the most delightful and feisty ragas, has been used widely across multiple genres of music in India. The flute brothers present 3 compositions in this raga, with harmonic improvisations, blending seamlessly with the compositions and a flurry of melodic exchanges towards the end, using a wide range of flutes. The compositions presented here are:
1. Baaro Krishnayya - Adi - Kanakadasa
2. Muralidhara Gopala - Adi - Periyasamy Thooran
3. Thillana - Adi - Lalgudi Jayaraman

Flute magicians really, hats off
This is totally a new experience with just the two flutes and the tanpura. Quite spectacular to see how the presentation has progressed with harmonical bgms in between the compositions and the magical exchanges at the end. The brothers amaze me always. Kudos to Madrasana for bringing this.
