    How did you get those 3 10mm bolts on for the passenger side? How did you access the bolts from behind?

    • @413BROS
      @413BROS  8 месяцев назад +2

      I went up under the fender liner, a little tricky but not bad. This Jeep also has a little body lift so that may of made it a little easier

      I didn't know there was a difference in canister location. Tyler has a 04' LJ so the next time we get tail lights we'll install them on that and make a video 👍

    Did the Harbor Freight lights have a resistor installed? Once I hooked up the right taillights the turn signals flashes fast. Unhooked the right side and the left flashed normal. Reconnect and they both flash fast again.

      Not that I'm aware of. I had the same issue and ended up swapping them out. I didn't have side marker lights hooked up at the time and once I put them back in and used halogen bulbs it solved my issues. I have the Novita LM470 Flasher relay as well

      @ChiefLilly71 you're welcome! Good luck! Just keep in mind 97-01 and 02-06 did have different relays. Newer models are LM470 and older models are EP27

    I installed thes and had same issues, no flashing when the running lights are on . Led flasher is installed . Has anybody found a soulution, regular led tailamps work fine. Is it the EMC technology they claim to have ?

    • @leeblum8397
      @leeblum8397 8 месяцев назад +1

      I actually just fixed them. All needed to do was install small 194 bulb in Parallel with the turn signal lamp circuit at the tail light to make them flash properly with the running lights on. Alternatively you can use a led taillight balancing resistor, but these get quite hot. The bulb was a much easier fix.

    • @413BROS

      Maybe a voltage issue. If you're not already run a LED flasher relay

    • @DaveSavage-oe3bi
      @DaveSavage-oe3bi Год назад +1

      I installed a lm470 relay and it's still doing the same. Turn signals do not work with running lights on. I sent them back to Amazon and got replacements. They still do not work right

    • @413BROS
      @413BROS  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear that Dave! I would suggest getting different lights all together. These old Jeeps have some weird electrical quirks that make changing things to led difficult with some sets of lights. Keep the relay in and swap them out for better lights. Now that you have the relay you can swap the front signals for leds as well. Just keep the side lights on the fender flares halogen and you'll be gold. I know my Harbor Freight led tail lights have never done me wrong after years

Only problem is when you have running lights on, blinker blinks rapidly. When running lights are off, blinker blinks at normal speed. Did I get something wired backwards?

      You're welcome! I have aftermarket front signals that are led and there's not enough load even with that relay so if u have all your bulbs up front still you should be totally fine

    • @jerryellis798
      @jerryellis798 Год назад +1

      So I just bought this Jeep and at first just changed the tail light bulbs to led, and the front turn and marker light to led. But today I just put in some led halo headlights and the same tail lights you featured. Doing that relay looks so much easier than doing what others suggested with the load resistors or decoders.

    • @413BROS
      @413BROS  Год назад +1

      It's super easy! Keep the side bulbs on the fenders (194) halogen and you can run the front (3157) with LEDs. Otherwise you will run into load issues even with the Novita LM470. And congratulations on the new Jeep!

    Additionally: I bought these rear tail lights. They're a MESS! The mounting bolts are not compatible with existing mounting holes. That means you'll have to DRILL out the holes (and forever destroy the tapped threads). Then, you'll have to figure out how to get your hand behind the holes and attach the nuts to the mounting bolts. I tried. I gave up. It's a TOTAL mess. Thankfully, I bought the lights on Amazon and they promptly issued me a return and a refund. My opinion: don't waste your money on these lights.
