- Installation tips:
1. Apply double-sided tape to the two inner sides of the cover.
2.Fix the light bar on the double-sided tape.
3.Wire connection:
A. The black wire is connected to the negative pole + the red wire is connected to the ACC = the engine starts to light up.
B. The black wire is connected to the negative pole + the red wire is connected to the DRL = turn on the DRL to light up.
C. You can install anywhere you want

As a mechanic please don’t wrap wires around fuses buy a fuse block connection that has a in-line fuse please otherwise will have the fire department putting your car out of fire
Would it be best to attach the hot wire to the positive on the battery?.. I’ve tried finding out as much info as possible on how to install this on my dodge dart and they’ve not replied to me anywhere

This is probably the most unsafe install I've seen of one of these yet. Last two I bought come with a fuse tap. At least now I know which brand not to buy.

@@elsamach5616 A fuse tap turns one slot into two slots, Provides one fuse holder to protect the existing circuit, and a second fuse holder to protect the new circuit. You would take the original fuse out and use the adapter then put the original fuse into the adapter and the fuse that comes with the adapter. It keep it from surging.

Probably connected it to a main fuse and not a fuse that connects to the main functions. Try 15

I had the same problem in that I can't seem to find any fuses in the engine fuse box that don't continuously supply power. I wonder if I can just tap this thing into my fog lights instead.

You're supposed to use a fuse tap and not have the wires wrapped around the fuse connector like that.

In my Swift ACC 20Amps is always ON for dome light & door open sensor without key, so I decided to tap into Ignition fuse so that when key is turned to that powers the drl strip...

So on my fuse box the fuses cant be pulled out, can you attach the positive(red wire) to something else like the positive battery terminal?
Pull harder on the fuses. There is no such thing as a non removable fuse. If there was then they wouldn’t put a fuse. Use pliers. And no you can’t just attach to the positive battery terminal or it will never turn off
@@BillOfAllTrades2016 I have an 2010 lexus ls460 the fuses aren't removable. You have to replace the whole module called junction box. I can see if there's maybe a different fuse box under the hood but the main one next to the battery wont work

ACC is "accessory" - So it would turn on when you turn the key past lock into "ACC". So whenever the stereo turns on basically.
I have a 2010 acura mdx and the fuse for my radio is a 40 Amp fuse, thats not too much power for this strip?
Absolutely,with 40 Amp you will put the leds on fire and the wire will melt down.The best thing to do is to use around 1 or 2 Amps,otherwise you will need to add a resistance depending of the Ampers you will use.The formula is R=V/I .
@alvarot6058 that makes sense but all these other people who install these LED strips tie into a much higher amperage fuse and don't have issues. It's confusing lol
The smallest fuse I found in the entire car is 7.5amps

The best way is to try it in the fuse place if it’s turn on it’s not the good one , if it’s not on mean it’s the good one that it will work only when the engine is turn on , I was having the same issu the light stay on then I do some research and find this option !

Probably loose strand aluminum speaker wire...
Probably not enough to power the led strip lol

Me too for a 2012 Tucson ix35 any fuse in the engine compartment fuse box that I connect it to supplies power when car is not started.
Install it with switch. Just put fuse 7.5 amps or lower

Think he missed a step after wrapping wire around the fuse. After you put back the wire wrapped fuse you need to take exactly 1 cup water and pour it over the fuses to help the connection while car is on

I knew nothing about installing fuses 30 minutes ago. This is my 3rd video and I already know that isn’t safe. You have to somehow put that stripped wire as add on to a current according fuse. Don’t go over or under the electric power of that color fuse.
I was hoping this video would teach me more about this but you installed the lazy way which isn’t safe. That negative wire isn’t protected or something as far as I know and can short or start a fire.

Un robinet à fusible transforme un emplacement en deux emplacements, fournit un porte-fusible pour protéger le circuit existant et un deuxième porte-fusible pour protéger le nouveau circuit. Vous retireriez le fusible d'origine et utiliseriez l'adaptateur, puis insérez le fusible d'origine dans l'adaptateur et le fusible fourni avec l'adaptateur. Cela l’empêche de monter en flèche.
Congratulations, you just taught everyone how this shouldnt be done.....smh. Do wiring the right way, dont wrap fuses, use an actual jumper with the correct amperage fuse. Teach people the correct ways to do things.

Doesn’t matter as long as it’s on the base metal frame. Just to ground it.
That was a bolt holding the side panel to the frame. Wasn’t even the battery.

Yup the light won't shut off only way to do it is to cut in to the head light wiring and install it that way
thats because you used a fuse that always have voltage in it choose a fuse that only has voltage when you put the key on so when you turn off the key the lights will go off ;)

Your not suppose to keep the pos connected direct to the battery. The ground can stay, but you want the positive to be on a switch side of your lights or something that turns on with the car. You can tap into the headlight fuse, i dont reccomend that but just watch some other LED install vids for cars, its all the same for the most part.

If you haven’t done so already, Google your vehicle, the trim level and Fuse Box schematic. That should give you what you need.
Me too...none of mine are labeled ACC. and I tried all and found none that aren't always supplying power when the car is off.
Just use testlight. You can't wire automotive without it. May cheaper when you diy it

This is a scam. The fb ad shows the light scan from side to side when you start the car but in reality it’s just a plane white LED strip that all lights up solid. What a jip!

30- to the battery terminal with fuse (5or7.5amps)
86- switch (2way connect common wire to ACC wire)
85 - ground
87- drl red wire

This is a basic, not so safe, inexpensive way of doing it. I’m not to sure about the whole wrapping the wire around the bare metal of the fuse and just shoving it back in place. 😮😳😑🤨🤔

Use proper tools, wire stripper {not scissors}. Hide cables properly routing beside engine bay and as stated in other comments, use a fuse wire adaptor to tap in. Don't wrap wire around fuse.

@@alcifrerdewich2323you don’t want to wrap wires around the fuse as it will catch fire . buy fuse tap adapter to connect to main fuse the use the wire connector to connect whatever it is that you are trying to connect.

yeah i was saying the same thing. rats nest of wires and why not just spend $5 and get an add-a-fuse tap instead of wrapping the wire around a fuse. and i saw he used a 20 amp fuse. there is no way if these fail that will blow a 20 amp fuse before starting a fire
