This is amazing, considering he is an Olympic gold medalist now. I hope to make it there with my shot put skills in the future. Huge fan Ryan
How'd shotput go for ya?
@@Dad_Lyon fr im curious

Same here
I didn’t stick to it unfortunately, but now I go to college for sports performance and exercise science, hoping to work with track and field athletes soon! Still in the realm of the sport 💪🏼
damn i truly believe we will have this outdoor season a 80 foot thrower. he just threw 75 then 77 FOOT!!!!!! damn keep up the great work man..break that record!!!!
your amazing! i did girls shot put for a couple of years but never got as far as you did! truly an inspiration, and at 6'7? damn
I like watching this after he wins 2 golds and is the best shot putter in history
Holy shit man, very well done. Glad to see you broke the discus record too.
You should come out to Indiana and give a fellow tall thrower some help haha. I bench 270, squat 550, and deadlift 440 and I can barely break 50' cause Ive never had a coach.
Amazing, nice job on the throws
So awesome to watch... best of luck
great form, most tall throwers that spin look cramped when they move through the ring but you look comfortable, muscle memory after countless reps, continued success at the college level
@bagodiscus22 haha yeah man im workin hard on it! looks like we might get some of the old italy team back together for junior pan ams this summer
@sandnigga2233 thanks man, yeah i feel ya, it is different being tall, im 6'7" ;)
Love the song
Killer technique, kid. Keep it up!
I just watched Haley throw at districts and she was awesome. This family is crazy!
good job man
excellent technician for being such a big guy
@RXC82 I'm 6ft 4 and i have problems being to big for the shot put ring lol i am to usto the jump with discus cant do that with shot lol.
good job and good luck in texas i know you will do good. i was wondering what did you throw as a sophmore in high school
wow...awesome!!
God your form. I'm trying to learn the spin now and I can never get my left leg around right to get into position to throw it
wow. incredible. what kind of numbers do you put up in the weight room?
@RXC82 damn that's pretty tall for a spinner, what kind of numbers do you put up in the weight room?
Awesome throw mate....hope u make it to the olympics..
what kind of camera was used for the slo mo?
@RXC82 I bench 320
clean 260
squat 450 , even with the strength I have I still can't break sixty lol, and how do you get into such a good power position while spinning with that height?
.... man those are some sick assss throwing shoes. no joke. !
@sandnigga2233
Bench 300
clean 300
squat 375
i am not a tall man, 6 foot even, but i have a 6'7 wingspan, so im hoping i can put this to my advantage and crank out a 190 by the time this years up.
I cannot wait to see you in the Olympics:)
Called it
I honestly don't get how he threw what he threw. I mean, it's more impressive considering your technique just doesn't do justice for the distance. But, nice to see he placed 5th at Indoor for the shot put. Definitely expecting you to be doing PLENTY well in the years to come; best of luck Mr. Crouser.
anyone know his power position distance?
I bench 365 and squat 550 and its all I can do to throw it 50'! im sure being 6' doesnt help though
so (for the rest of the world) that's 22.27 meters / 6 kg shot and 19.48 m / 7.6kg shot.
Hmm impressive. It'll be good to watch you go head to head with New Zealand's 17 year old Jacko Gill in years to come
Part of the left foot leaves the circle as it spins at the beginning of the throw.
that's legal he stayed
So? Almost his entire right leg is out of the circle as well but it doesn’t touch the outside of the circle just like his left foot doesn’t either. I know I’m replying to an old comment but I’m tired of these comments trying to play gotcha but they know nothing about the rules of the event.
@@paulbuschman very old reply lmfao I was in HS
It's not a 6kg its a 5.45kg (12 pound) shot
Good job man, i've tried to learn the spin, but it's too hard when you don't have a coach and when you're 6'6" lol
Ryan is 6’ 7”
@@henrypoirier166 I know he is
italy team?
Wow....a young Crouser looks so lean, and probably weighs around 270 lbs here........so the balance between bulk, strength and quickness has to be weighed to become the best in the world....add another 50 lbs and most likely much stronger, while giving up some quickness in the circle!......I wonder.....if a 295 lb Crouser that might keep or come close to the same strength as a 315 lb Crouser, but might be quicker could possibly throw farther?????
this dude is 6”7 LOL damn
How does it go so far, does anyone know how strong he was?
torque
@nkdiscus44 tall people actually ahve an advantage in shot put lol
@throwinbombs80 that was my point im only 6' there all like 6'7 aqnd 6'6
Man I nearly had a heart attack reading those number for your lifts. Unfortunately I am a little slow and assumed these weights to be in Kgs. Hay, I am over here in New Zealand with Jacko Gill. You remind me a lot of him except your Discus is better and his Shotput is a bit better than you. Two very fine athletes. Good luck to you RYAN.
@RXC82 wait seriously? god damnit haha seeing stuff like this makes me feel horrible, i bench 365, clean 275, and squat 455, but i only throw 51 -.-
im in 6th grade and throw the discus 121' 4" and the shot put 40 feet 6 inches
im only 6' tall but spin just screws me up. im happy at 53' gliding
You fouled
There was no foul there, not sure where you saw one but it was definitely a legal throw.
@hmustang123321 Two years apart :O
pshh i threw a 8 pound shotput 45.5ft in 7th grade haha
@timmypoo3 nice attempt to flatter the champ but the rest of the world would agree that thats a load of crap. You should also lift more because the people that beat you certainly do and you cant earn a medal for lifting as little as possible.
............
so mike carter puts it 71 feet as a senior. fail.
