No she's getting it right, though the shot appears to land further it's the first point of contact with the ground that matters (not its mid point). Also keep in mind that the shot is coated in chalk that leaves a mark for the marker to see. Nonetheless, I would agree with you on the 3rd to last throw, though that one wasn't his best so it doesn't matter.
At the time Jacko legitimately was throwing further (having broken 20m aged 16 - Crouser didn’t manage that) and in terms of age group distances with 5kg and 6kg shots he held the world records until Konrad came along. I’d guess reason Jacko has plautead is because he was already monstrously strong whereas Crouser was getting the best out of his levers and technique, and as a result stood to gain much more from getting stronger (as I understand it he could barely bench press 300lbs despite hitting 21.50m with the 5kg shot.)
I have to say, obviously a great athlete, but Gill is something else - 20m at only 16 and a bit, and 23.80something at only just 16 with the 5k shot means he's some way ahead of Crouser, who is nearly 2 years older! Would be great to see a head to head!!!
anyone know why he hasnt thrown the shot much in outdoor? on milesplit it only has him down for the disc and i havent heard anything about his shot lately.
it really depresses me when someone can throw almost twice as far as i can
Now he’s the world record holder!

Guys, this is the indoor record. We all know about Carter's outdoor 81, but that's outdoor.
All those Jacko Gill is better comments aged really well.

FYI - Ryan threw the shot 21.56m (70' 8.75") as a sophomore and discus 202' 6", which I think was further than Gill.
ur crazy kid I juss now gt started wit shot put nd I cnt even throw dat far
The girl mis-marked his last throw and screwed him out of at least a foot. Watch it is slow mo.
