It’s really interesting how they are using 11-13 players all on decent minutes. This is the least Steph has played in his career and they’re still winning a lot of games so far. Even when the mavs were gaining momentum last night Steve Kerr still stuck to the pre determined minutes and kept Steph on the bench
Things like this will pay off deep into the season. Basically use the Zerg meta to out burn your opponent on stamina and hustle. Also creating internal competitive atmosphere for players fighting for minutes with each other.
@ yeah that internal competition plays a role. No one’s getting a guaranteed 30+ minutes so you know you gotta be productive while you’re out there. Also no one’s playing 5 minutes so they don’t have that “I need to show out” to earn minutes mindset. No one has an excuse of I didn’t have time to get a rhythm. And they don’t have the excuse of ‘I was too tired’ since everyone’s doing the same thing you’re doing. Super interesting dynamic
This is probably the greatest championship run if they ever win it all, imagine a bunch of youngsters along with Curry, Green vs the competition, this is surely gonna be the best title run ever..
@@MikeSchmidt969 predicting the future is NOT enjoying the present. Enjoying the present is talking about the present. Predicting the future is talking about the future. It is possible to do both, but that’s not what is happening here.
It's amusing to consider that the Warriors are currently dead last in free throw percentage, shooting just 71% from the line. Despite this, they remain one of the best teams in the league on both ends of the floor this season. If they could somehow improve their free throw shooting, it would be a huge boost to their already impressive performance.
@@yy2348 I agree, but I think are going crazy because Steph scored the last 12 pts for the Warriors to seal the W - but not many people mention all the points that Draymond's defense prevented. Equally as impactful.
What puts the Warriors over the top is on Buddy's dagger, Steph's movement was TOWARDS Buddy, right onto JT's path to contest. Their usage of angles and subtle feints to keep opponents guessing is top-tier. The play doesn't stop on a pass or a shot.
One thing that stands out to me, and will be particularly scary if this remains consistent, is that Draymond Green is actually shooting really well from deep. He shot 50% last night for example. On the season he's 46%, which is actually better than both Klay and Curry. Draymond is obviously not a better shooter than those guys as degree of difficulty is certainly a factor but so far this season he's been proving to be one of those guys that you can't just leave open. I expect a regression to the mean for many reasons, including the fact that teams likely won't just leave him open for long, but if he just remains at that ~36% average that makes for what the NBA calls a "good" 3P shooter (analytics, yo) then the Warriors are a serious threat.
He's not gonna regress because he's not a volume 3pt shooter. And teams will consistently keep him open, because he's not a volume shooter. They'd rather him take the shot instead of anyone else on GS catching rhythm and creating hell, as their shot diet is more than Dray's
I mean, he shot 39.5% from 3 last season. I think he might've been at 42/43 % at some point last season? Like you said, it mostly comes down to the degree of difficulty. With the 3 pointers he's currently attempting I wouldn't find it crazy at all if he finishes the season shooting a similar percentage to last season, if not better.
I believe Kerr's strategy, in the long run, will work, reps for the bench are very important. Plus look at the league if you don't have a decent bench you just squeezing your superstar. Now the way the Mavericks play is not sustainable. Luka started hot and seemed to slow down.
@Pun116 I'm sorry shouldn't Luka be in condition already for training camp, its the NBA, not high school. Yesterday most of his scoring came in the 1st half and was working hard for the points. Jason Kidd should try to use Kyrie to bring the ball, and let luka operate from mid post not full court.
bro didnt even mention moody playing well , slow mo hitting big 3s , looney back to being a rebound machine , and jackson davis putting up quality mintues. This team will be historic!

*Last two seasons it took them 19 games to get to 9 wins, this season it only took them 11 games, the writing is on the wall, this team is LEGIT. Though I feel like they're still a trade piece away from being serious contenders.*
I've been saying for the past three years that Klay is dragging the Warriors down with his putrid shooting and minimal contributions everywhere else. Even during their final title run, they won DESPITE him on the court most of the time. The Mavs are finding out that an inefficient volume shooter isn't going to help them win a championship.
Not really. Cavs are a much bigger team and were able to hit 20 threes to the Warriors 13. Not to mention Cavs coach is a former assistant coach for the Warriors, Atkinson used his knowledge of their offense against them. Cavs are definitely a great team but they aren’t doing what they did to the Warriors to the entire league. I’m sure GSW took a lot from that game and will be much better next time. Will they win? Who knows but I’m sure they won’t be getting destroyed like that again.
People didn't notice this yet, but the new rotation is almost the same with what Kerr did in Paris Olympics. Might be not sustainable in the long run, but it works so far - putting lesser strain on main starters and giving literally everyone a chance to shine.
It is actually sustainable for the long run in the regular season, less minutes for the main guys = more rest, less chance of injury. For the playoff, they will probably limit the rotation unless they dominate the other team.

This team proved that they could win a championship without Kevin Durant in 2022. Now the Warriors are trying to prove that they can win a championship without both Klay Thompson and Bob Myers. That to me is one of the biggest reasons why they're off to the start they're on. Steph, Draymond, Steve Kerr, and the rest of that roster have massive chips on their shoulders because of the narratives that the media placed on them after Klay left for Dallas. And so far, the Dubs are once again firing on all cylinders. If they keep this up throughout the season, I wouldn't want to go into Chase Center in the playoffs if I'm any one of the top teams in the West. That crowd in DubNation will be like sharks ready to pull off a feeding frenzy.
In this game the warriors got punished when they blitzed luka it worked for a underhanded Celtics but the Mavs did good job of rotating the ball to the open man for a easy bucket. This game had loss written all over it. If it wasn't for curry brilliance on offense and green defense they would of loss.
If the warriors pull it off this year Curry>Bron confirmed. Won before during and after KD, and won without Klay? Yeah I don’t wanna hear nothing about super team even tho most of their talent was drafted compared to leGMs teams
