Nostalgia had people in a chokehold. Klay has not been the same since he returned. People calling for a legacy contract just wanted the Warriors to lose. They got off Klay and Paul, then obtained some nice role players. Unless Giannis wants to come over, they shouldnt throw it away for just any co-star. Dunleavy has been doing a great job.
if the Warriors some how pull a 2022 and get to the Finals and somehow win….I personally dont want to hear nothing about Magic anymore as the best PG at that point
He’ll match him with rings but individual accomplishments magic still has him on that. For me, he had to get at least 6 rings to pass magic As greatest PG
@@judahmourneth3211nah I think of Steph wins a 5th you at least have to have the debate.. magic had one solid team for most of his prime plus a weaker conference so to me it makes sense why he won.. but Steph is able to win with multiple different teams in a harder conference.. both careers are impressive but you really have to start thinking about the debate at that point
@ did you not see what magic did in 91. If Steph win number 5 we can definitely have the conversation but the individual accolades give magic the slight advantage.
As a Warrior fan, my biggest concern over the last 2 seasons was consistency and the resulting instability. I think that was the driving factor that Steph had to brute force so many wins by putting the team in his bag. Klay as the #2 guy was just simply not consistent and reliable enough. Also, since coming off the bench, Kuminga has been averaging almost 18ppg, with him scoring over 20 in the last two games against OKC and Cleveland. He's actually getting better. If you have a super star player with competent role players who play defense and shoot, a team with experience and all time good coaching staff, I don’t know how anybody can be “surprised “? We just usually predict based on our most recent memories. That’s why everyone had denver in the top 3 despite having anything I mentioned besides the superstar. Lol
It's been quite a refreshing turn around from the last couple of seasons. I remain sceptical about how well this team can do in the post season if they get there but their current strategy should win them a lot of regular season games. They are defending much better both in the half court and in transition. They have a lot of solid perimeter defenders and the trapping and blitzing schemes they have been running have been catching a lot of teams off guard. The fact pace and higher volume of 3s is definitely working in their favour right now and goes some way to making up for the lack of shot creation outside of Steph. JK has been better off the bench and shooting the 3 better and with more confidence. As much as I love what he can bring offensively defensively he is still super frustrating. To see such a A1 athlete just beat himself on that end but being in the wrong position all the time makes me want to pull my hair out. Podz should not be playing as much as he is but it's obvious to see why Kerr loves him. He does have a great feel for the game. There might be pressure to make a trade at the deadline but I would actually caution against it even if their current hot streak doesn't last and they fall back down the standings a little. There really aren't that many players likely to be available that would be worth gutting the teams depth and young players for. Right now the whole team is bought in and Stackhouse and Stotts on the bench have brought a new air to the team, Kerr seems more flexible and we haven't seen as much irrational obsession with packing the court with small guards and wings.
