He is averaging a pretty big td. He's come close to averaging a td but has never done it let alone with a #4 and 2 #1's. In points, assists and rebounds. Has anyone ever done it?
People say Jokic plays like a quarterback. But he really plays like it's water-polo. Look at how he receives the ball with one hand then pass, just like water-polo.
People often calls Jokic a "bad" defender because, individually speaking, Jokic is not your typical rim protector. However, there's a big reason why Denver's defense is at its strongest when he's on the floor. The things Jokic lacks individually, he makes up for by leading his team on defense and putting them exactly where they need them. That recent press interview with Ant and Gobert being baffled about how Jokic knew their play when no one else even opened their mouth about it is testament to Jokic overall understanding of the game. If anything, the times where Jokic don't jump to block a shot are shots that he had no way of stopping anyway. He'd rather let the shot go, prepare for a rebound if it misses and immediately make a play on the other end over risking an unnecessary foul.
He's just so damn efficient, there is no point in the modern NBA to be a rim protector as the refs are soft. He makes their shot as difficult as possible then gets the rebound, no point in going up with anybody as 99% of the time they either get a 3 point play or 2 free throws.
Nuggets front office torpedoed one of the best teams in nba & left Jokic with no help! They are paying $36M to $40M per year to Mpj; a one dimensional catch & shoot player, who is prone to injury & reeks on defence. They could have signed Bruce Brown & KCP & one more player for that amount. Jokic cannot win it all by himself.
He doesnt block many shots because he knows he is more valuable on the court than being in foul trouble. Watch him direct his team on defense. He is so smart he knows whats coming and how to defend the play as a team.
I think coach prevents him to be more agressive defender as no body wants to see more non-Jokic minutes than it is realy neccessary. Lets face it,if he is fauled out, game is over unless both Murray and PJ have extra ordinary successfull game.
Jokic has the best hands of any player in the history of the game. He catches everything, gets any rebound in his vicinity, his has the softest touch on his release but he can whip a ball across the court like that.
So glad. you said HE'S ONE OF THE BEST DEFENDERS. I've been saying this for years because I can see how he plays team defence so well, which is way more important than individual defence.

In my very, very humble opinion if he wasn't loyal to Denver he could pull a Lebron and switch to another team creating a super team. If Joker keeps this up for another two to three years he will have as much of an argument for GOAT as Lebron because according to a decent amount of NBA fans rings just dont matter.

Not to mention MPJ who is likely playing at his best after a slow start. Murray has also improved each game and is getting closer and closer to his game shape. So no, that's not a "dogshit" team.
When he won the bronze medal with Serbia, what he really wanted was for him not to play with WC, for example, because he won the title with DNVR and you can't go to the world championship after 7 days. Many people criticized him for that.I can't say that this is all normal, but it is for Nikola. He destroyed them all
Jokic is arguably on the highest-performing 5-season run in league history. He doesn’t have the rings of other players in the running, but he’s phenomenal in the games he’s had access to, definitely not his fault for only getting one chip. MJ played more games in the regular season so he’s still the king of VORP, but Jokic’s average performance is even better than MJ’s peak. Strictly in terms of peak individual performance, the goats are MJ, Bron, Wilt, and Jokic, and I don’t even know what order to put them in.
what if Luka Dončič joins Denver in 2027? How many titles would they bring to Denver? How many new records would they achive... yes Jokič this year is breathtaking maestro who knows game of basketball inside out. He for shure has greatest impact in the game. Pure poetry. But improvments on younger players are impressive this year also.
Ye, Watson's really shining on some nights, but Christian Braun's game has improved remarkably this year - consistently impressive. Jokic again helping there.

He's not doing something the nba has never seen before. There are plenty of big men who have displayed elite passing along with scoring and defending skills. The difference is that he's doing it in an era where he can take advantage of the rules to average a triple double every night. He's absolutely stellar and deserves his MVPs. Other players haven't been able to exploit the current rules and play style as he has so credit his talent and acumen for that. But it's a stretch to say that his talents are unique to now
Dude is an engima. When a player of that size manages to become virtually invisible and manages to sneak away over and over again it is simply amazing. And i mean how are you supposed to defend him? He uses his physique very cleverly and has top notch technical skills on top of that mountain of a body. If you take him on the physical side, he will pull a lot of fouls, if you dont, you have to double him and then he creates space for his teammates, if you dont double him, he scores^^. And on the defense he has these telescope arms and high level game reading abbilities rooted in a profound understanding of the game. I can only imagine what a nightmare he must be to play against.
Basketball is a team sport. Wilt played with smurfs early in his career with the Warriors, and they were no match for opponents with complete rosters. When he played on a complete roster, they won the division by 7 games over the team that had won the year before and had improved on their earlier record. That team was voted the greatest NBA team ever.
In Serbia every player has to learn to play every position. They are trained like that from the early age. Also screens are not allowed during the training, so that they learn to play one on one, find the gap and move the ball
Have you guys ever heard of Wilt Chamberlain. He led the league in points AND in ASSISTS AND REBOUNDS. For an entire year…The NBA changed the rules to make it harder for him. He’s the reason for the 3 second rule.
OKC is athletic and deep enough to hang with Denver. They can win with defensive pressure and can overcome injury to key players .Denver won't win without Murray and he is injury prone.Denvers healthy they should win it all again.Gordon is also injury prone and is a key piece

Yeah, the start was rough (expected, with several new pieces and new roles for old pieces), but AG was playing very well before the injury, Watson is finally also getting better integrated since losing a lot of the training camp and pre-season with an injury as well - CB is a beast, making up for the loss of KCP and more, Strawther has also improved. Not to mention MPJ who is likely playing at his best after a slow start. Murray has also improved each game and is getting closer and closer to his game shape. So no, that's not a "dogshit" team.
@@arizona_anime_fan His teammates have played well in the last five games. Let's give credits where credit is due.
I keep watching and all I see is McHale, Bird and Bill Walton plays. Thank god for the Joker in the league
Problem is what Murray and mpj can do. Every player needs help. Can you imagine if he played with another proven all star.
Does he win another chip? 👀
I don’t know. I believe he needs more help. If he did, or if Murray and MPJ play like their contracts suggest he will
When Larry bird won he had mchale parish DJ, maji. Had Kareem and James worthy and Michael has Scottie Pippen. Does
Jokic have any close to that
Pure basketball savant. Up there with Magic and Bird. And I don't mean in all time rankings (that's always hard to debate), but about basketball IQ.
He’s the best for sure
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best basketball IQ ewer!
When he won the bronze medal with Serbia, what he really wanted was for him not to play with WC, for example, because he won the title with DNVR and you can't go to the world championship after 7 days. Many people criticized him for that.I can't say that this is all normal, but it is for Nikola. He destroyed them all
Beo Jokic is Traveling like he got unlimited airline miles. 😂
1:06 - when a basketball player comes from a waterpolo nation. It could be advantage.
MVP
most exciting player to watch
I would have to agree 🔥
Fav player to watch ever.
Strictly in terms of peak individual performance, the goats are MJ, Bron, Wilt, and Jokic, and I don’t even know what order to put them in.
we are so lucky we get to watch this man play basketball.
I dont get the haters, they hate him because he is not flashy. Thats a stupid reason to hate a player
what if Luka Dončič joins Denver in 2027? How many titles would they bring to Denver? How many new records would they achive... yes Jokič this year is breathtaking maestro who knows game of basketball inside out. He for shure has greatest impact in the game. Pure poetry. But improvments on younger players are impressive this year also.
That would maybe be the greatest duo in the history of the NBA 🔥🔥
Ye, Watson's really shining on some nights, but Christian Braun's game has improved remarkably this year - consistently impressive. Jokic again helping there.
Jokic is a god among men when it comes to basketball!
😈😈
Our kid 🥰
Just imagine Jokic has a pretty good shooter like Korver or Allen. That would be devastating to the other team.
Jokic is the best basketball player ever and this is just beginning. He is coming from very very very successful society, good healthy spirit and nobody can move him from number 1 just like Djokovic,Nikola Tesla and Alexander the great he is country man of the best world man people ever seen!!!❤❤❤God bless you!!!❤❤❤
You got his averages wrong man, Joker is averaging 29.7ppg 13.7rpg and 11.7apg after his 37 18 and 15 game
They hadn't been updated at the time of making the video (I thought they had been.) But that just makes all this even more insane 🔥
great video my friend
Mate, with this accent feels like watching rugby…loved the Gæffort pronunciation, seems you did too 😂
And this is without AG. The Nuggets are loaded.
But Davis & Tatum are ahead of him in the MVP Ladder 😂😂 unbelievable
by the end of his career, joker is gonna be a top five player.
He would need at least 2 more titles for me to put him above guys like Magic, Larry Bird or Kareem
@@basketballreachtrippen he’s already past that level
I
@@basketballreachne trebaju mu titule, on je daleko iznad njih
@@basketballreach so u think he is 2nd best center all time lmao
I always thought that Jokic was the best player in the NBA. He makes everything look so easy.
But it's a stretch to say that his talents are unique to now
great video. It's great that you acknowledge his defense, but it would have been nice for you to actually show some defense and not all offense.
Serbian 💪🏻 man 🇷🇸
It's like he's doing one amazing thing after another until he gets to the end lol.
Amazing, a guy with his size passing the ball like a point guard
In Serbia every player has to learn to play every position. They are trained like that from the early age. Also screens are not allowed during the training, so that they learn to play one on one, find the gap and move the ball
Serbian boy Jokic is our pride like Novak Djokovic back in Serbia.
He is a real hero.
Greetings from Serbia.
Everybody happy watching when nuggets plays.
🔥🔥
Wilt probably averaged a few triple doubles with blocks but they weren’t being recorded at the time
I think that Joker is one of the best, maybe the best "team defence" player.
Nuggets are the team to beat in the West.
Especially now that Chet is out for OKC. That is a huge loss a fractured rib is like 6-9 months that could be the entire season
Jokic with LaMelo, and anyone else, and would win the championship.....
That's kind of a tame stat line for the Big Dipper.
I think giving Murray a max contract will kill any more Championships. He is just not the guy.
It’s like I don’t disagree, but I also feel like you just have to do it
Have you guys ever heard of Wilt Chamberlain. He led the league in points AND in ASSISTS AND REBOUNDS. For an entire year…The NBA changed the rules to make it harder for him.
He’s the reason for the 3 second rule.
I like how others just bounce off of him trying to defend.
Like a force field.
His soft touch around the basket reminds me of Bill Walton. If you’re not a natural leaper you learn to shoot.
jokic mvp
It is looking that way right now 🔥
How cool/dominant would it be if jokic got to play the 4 next to a prime shaq at the 5? And he wouldnt have to score, just pick apart and play make.
Jokić is GOAT😮
OKC is athletic and deep enough to hang with Denver. They can win with defensive pressure and can overcome injury to key players .Denver won't win without Murray and he is injury prone.Denvers healthy they should win it all again.Gordon is also injury prone and is a key piece
