Cheers mate, I appreciate it. Went into the Claremont shop today and bought my fourth pair of boots, my 15th pair of jeans, being my 3rd pair of moleskins and my 8th Collins shirt. The day RM’s went back into Aussie hands was the day that I decided to start buying into the brand. No point whinging about everything being made overseas and then not trying to contribute to the success of an Australian made product.
Always appreciate videos like this and RM Williams are in need of more videos on RUclips. Especially for their less common shoes. Case in point, I bought a Goodswood last week due to your video, but couldn’t find anything on the Gardener Commando.
Thanks mate, I'll see what I can do about ramping up the video side of things and wrapped to hear you got yourself a pair of the Goodwoods - hard to beat aren't they!!
@@billsboots They are. Unfortunately I had to return a pair but the exchanged pair arrived tonight and I’m pretty happy with them. The last is sleeker than I imagined so I think it will fit the role of a smart casual boot pretty well. It should also stop me worrying about what shoes to wear in a storm.
This is not quality boot making. This is smash out as many pairs as you can in a day boot making. You know its cheap leather when its not covered before welting

I have 4 pairs of boots and I am damn proud as an Aussie to wear them !!!
One with the lot: Researcher, presenter, and cameraman. Great package
Crafted in Australia, of course they are bloody good. The Australian Army use RMs.
Great interesting video. Thanks Bill.
Glad you enjoyed it
Certainly is higher paced and automated than their advertising would suggest. Interesting actual BT's

Amazing work Billy; thank you for sharing.
Well done 👍
wow 4 people in craft dept . when i left there were 14 people making belts whips and so on
Very interesting. What's considered the classic or best all-around R.M., Williams Chelsea boot? Thanks!
The most iconic would have to be the Chestnut Comfort Craftsman in my opinion.
Its a pity you missed out the soling line in your video where the soles are laid and stitched
