Did they skip putting in a new shank?
Yeah.. I saw that btw, the fiberboard insole. They use their new updated materials to do rebuilds.. not good. Take your old RM’s to a regularl cobbler and have them rebuilt to original spec, leather everything.
Only thing missing is boot trees. The uppers at the beginning looked not so good. Boot trees would have helped the leather to maintain shape. Boots looked great at the end.
Crafted in Australia, of course they are bloody good. The Australian Army use RMs.
I have 4 pairs of boots and I am damn proud as an Aussie to wear them !!!
I really love my 2 daughters ...........but not as much as I love my 4 pairs of RMs !!!

Hi Bill, I get that the wood will absorb the moisture but won't it be good to air out the boots before putting in the moisture? I'm not sure how effective will the wood absorb the moisture vs just airing the boots overnight.
I thought they looked great at the beginning 😊
This is not quality boot making. This is smash out as many pairs as you can in a day boot making. You know its cheap leather when its not covered before welting

After wearing 2 pairs of RM boots on a regular basis for 8 years I had new soles and heels put on by RMW. Soles could have lasted longer but just did both at same time. It comes back like new. This method works out for RMW boots to be the cheapest high quality men's leather footwear.
Great for all brands of leather boots too.
I want a pair but they don't make them in wide H fitting !!!😡
Durable enough for a true field/work boot?

Love the Bark oiley leather . I got comfort craftsman in this colour. Not sure if I should use the RM dressing cream (Lanolin based in the tube or Neatsfoot oil based in the can) on them or not. RM website says to use dressing cream but the colour will go dark. Any suggestions ?
It is amazing how hands-on every part of every item is. And the plaited belts. Wow.
I ordered after watching this video. Will get this week . Getting close to dozen pairs now 😢
Great tutorial Bill. The only thing I do after polishing off the polish is give them a really good rub with a microfibre cloth to enhance the shine. That one last step makes a big difference.

Footwear has NOT always been made here..... some of it STILL MADE IN CHINA.
Best quality gear and jobs for Aussies, good on you RMW I will always be a customer.

*It's up to the customer for the colors. So if a customer doesn't want a color change, they can mention that for their order 😊*

Hi, do we go through this process if it has been in the rain, would I need to keep cleaning and conditioning each time it gets wet?
If your boots have been on the rain just let them dry naturally - not near a heater or open fire. Give them a wipe over with a damp cloth (if yearling) and you’re good to go. Don’t over condition them. Once every eight to twelve weeks if more than enough.
