Thank you for your question. It depends how bad the scratch is and if the finished surface of the leather is broken. If it is, then the 'raw' leather underneath the finish will likely take any product you might use on, in a different way to the finished part of the leather. As the mid-brown pull-up is a 'Oiled Leather', the colour within migrates with the oils as the leather flexes and stretches so, the colour is not so even. This makes it easier to disguise and anomalies that you might get such as scuffs and scratches. You might consider Saphir number 37 (medium brown) or number 5 (dark brown) cream to enhance or restore colour. A combination of different shades of brown, all used very sparingly is usually a good option too. Apologies for my long winded reply, and hope this helps. Richard.
Are there any British boots that are on par with the redwing iron ranger? Or better for the price ? £329 I’m after a decent pair of casual boots. Would love some suggestions to check out..
Great video and amazing restoration work, sir! The RM website warns not to use leather conditioner on these chinchilla boots due to the analine finish and to only use neutral polish. Any danger of the leather drying out by following their instructions? Thanks for any advice
I couldn't be certain is the honest answer.........I think these being made from a natural crust leather, there is always a danger of literally 'washing' the colour out with various creams and liquids. So, my best advice is always to use creams and polishes very sparingly, and if colour restoration is required which inevitably one day it will, then the correct colours of cream and polish can achieve this 🙂
How do I tell if my pair of RM Williams is Chinchilla or Yearling or Kangaroo leather? Its got orange leather sole and rubber heel with the horn emblem thing.
Is it a white salt mark or has the leather blown and is stained. If it is the former Hiver Salt remover by Saphir is good. The later … trial and error. Saphir renomat would be a good product to start with.
Wow work of a shoe artist 👏👏👏
Great video, would never have even dreamed of using a scouring pad to apply the renomat, but it works a treat,I did use a non-scratch one.
Beautiful work!
I discovered your channel when I was searching for reviews on Fairfax and Favour Regina.
I think I’ve just witnessed a miracle. Amazing transformation! 😯
Thank you
Bloody brilliant mate!! 🦘🦘
Great video, enjoyed seeing the results you were able to achieve!
Thankyou very much Andrew :-)
If I got a scratch on my pull up mid brown dynamic flex, which colour should I use?

Wow! very impressive!
But I have to say, the video resolution really does a disservice to your work.
This really deserves a better quality video.

The colour and finish would give it away Sir :-)
@@theshoemandoncaster I will try comparing when I got time. It’s hard to tell the original color of my pair. It’s like light chestnut color.
How do you remove salt marks from leather soled shoes after they've become saturated? I've got some tan Loake brogues that I'm struggling to restore.
