Hey Jessie as a picky tea lover let me suggest taking the tea bag out and not leaving it in, it will cause it to keep the same flavour and not get strong. Also the less time you brew it the weaker or sweeter is generally tastes, and the longer the stronger or more bitter it tastes. Honey is a great natural sweetener too. :)

I can never read and drink tea or coffee. Ive never been able to control both the book and the drink. I will always, always spill the hot drink down myself and the book 😂😂😂
My reading routine: 1. Shuffle Spotify playlist (I listen to a lot of rock music.) 2. Decide the amount of pages to read in that book for that sitting (ex: 50 pages of Ready Player One.) 3. Read. Sometimes I read while waiting for my coffee to get cold enough to pour into a cup of ice if I want iced coffee that morning.
Okay so I'm from the UK and we don't have goldfish snacks, so when you said goldfish, I thought you meant a literal pet goldfish... My reading routine tends to be: snug in either bed/blanket, with coffee, tea or hot chocolate, crackling fire asmr video on the television, and then taking breaks for more hot drinks and goodreads updates!
I completely agree about tea smelling better than it tastes; I’ve found that adding a little sugar helps, but you could also make a fun flavor tea like pomegranate or blueberry and then cool it like iced tea. Happy reading!!!
As an avid tea drinker, I have to agree with you that it most always smells better than it tastes. That’s why I brew mine for a hecka long time, like 7-8 minutes. It really helps bring out the flavor. Plus, it brings it to the perfect temperature. I also add honey to it as a sweetener and that helps bring out some of the flavors too.
One tea I really like is hibiscus. Just add a small handfull of hibiscus leaves and pour some boiling water and boom. It takes a bit of time to steep but if you leave the leaves in it produces a strong flavour that never really gets bitter and I'd say it definitely lives up to its scent. Just don't let the tea cool down with the leaves still in it since it makes it very sour

Jessie it's because you teaing wrong, I hated bag tea forever, but then I tried loose leaf tea. If you put like 5 scoops of your desired flavor and 3 rock sugar scoops and steep it for 10 minutes it is amazing. I get loose leaf tea from David's tea and it's super good.

I don't have a routine, per se, as I grab words wherever I can get them. I will say that I'm generally reading multiple books at a time, some ebooks (which I read on both my phone and my actual Kindle), mostly physical books, and right now, I have one audiobook that I usually listen to while walking to and from work. (And by multiple ... my currently-reading stack is 23 books right now, and that's down from 32 last month.)
Our man is so lively it's hard to imagine him settling down enough to read at all!!!! 😊 I read for pleasure in the late evening. If I'm reading for work or study it tends to be in the early evening, I seem to get better recall that way. I'll often have more than one on the go but not usually for the same reason. I've just started "Our Man in Havana" (for pleasure), "The Battle of Tanga 1914" (personal study, my grandfather was in it) and I'm bouncing between two IT themed books (for work). Not big on those Kindle things, partly because I like to scribble in the margins of study text and reference books, but also because my work life is screens I don't want my down time to be screens too! - oh... you're still here... you really do like reading... I admire your boredom threshold! 👍

i don't drinking, eating, or snacking during my reading because im too afraid i will ruin my book. so i usually listening to songs when i read. so sometimes during reading, i can take a breath, listen to the song for a few seconds, seeing trees or something for a break or to immerse into the emotions. so sometimes, when i get to hear the songs on radio or youtube, i can remember the scene in the book vividly. for example, Meghan Trainor - No Good For You is the one i listen when reading red queen series. so it become like soundtrack for it. when i listen to that song, i will catch a glimpse of Mare and Cal together. just like a movie!
My reading routine usually includes a green smoothie and water in the morning while reading on the couch. If I am reading in the evening I drink a licorice tea latte with almond milk and read in my bed. Not really a snack person when it comes to reading but I am all about beverages.
Rain sound for reading is my favourite thing! I always used to study like that "No ship can compare" TRUTH "Some days it's hard to love myself" MOOD I love me some tea, but it definitely always smells better. If you find the "tea" taste is a little strong, I find that milk helps tone that down without diluting the flavour
Audiobook for an hour to work, then an hour home. I no longer have time to sit down and spend time physically reading. And I can't read before bed because I'm flat out asleep within two minutes of crawling in bed. That's one perk to being chronically sleep-deprived (thanks, night shift). I also do the audiobook while mowing. That's 2hr on a tractor about once a week, so it's an excellent story session. When I go on vacation, though, which is rare, I always take a couple of books with me. I always make the time to sit and deeply enjoy reading a physical copy of a wonderful book when I'm on break from the real world.
When I read I enjoy snacking on cookies and drinking coffee or hot chocolate. My favorite cookies are Frosted Oatmeal cookies and Snickerdoodles. I enjoy reading in bed but on nice days that ain't to hot or to cold I like reading outside in the woods behind my house, I mostly do that around the fall season though. It's relaxing.😊
I either sit cuddled up in my library with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of tea (hopefully it's raining!) Or sit outside and read! I used to have a tree that I would climb up and it was perfect!! You should try lemon ginger tea sweetened with honey! It's super flavorful!

I don't understand how anyone can read and eat. I am so bad at multitasking (to the point where I hold my breath when talking or listening to someone else talk). I am a student so I usually read during the beginning of English class (the teacher has us read any book we choose for the first thirty minutes of class. Then we have to write about it). I'll read during lunch (I actually carry around a lunch bag filled with my library books). Finally, I'll sometimes read during the ride home (most of the time, I take the bus home. I won't read if I'm on the bus because I'm afraid that I'll be too focused on the book that I'll miss my stop. If my dad gives me a ride home, that is when I'll read my book). My reading routine kind of sucks. I set time to read, but if I am interrupted (like if someone starts talking to me or if I need to refuel), I cannot continue reading. I'll try and end up rereading the same paragraph for half an hour before I give up.
I like listening to my book when I'm getting ready in the morning (about 30 minutes), I listen while I'm driving to work or school (about 35 minutes), I listen when I'm at work doing paperwork (about 20 minutes), if I'm closing I listen while I wait for the last people to leave (about 2 hours), then I listen on my ride home (about 35 minutes). I actually get a lot of listening done in one day!

Maybe it's because I'm older but I don't understand how you need all these things to read. I'll read anywhere, the only thing I typically do when reading, is read with music playing and maybe have a beer. However, the idea of reading while taking notes is something I could see myself trying, I tend to forget details or sometimes I just like a particular word or sentence and I feel like writing them down would be solve all this.

My reading routine usually takes place at night, probably 7-9:30pm. I always make sure I have my makeup taken off because it bothers me if I don’t, and I have pajamas and my heated blanket. I light a few candles, turn on my salt lamp, make a cup of tea and snuggle with my puppy in my bed as I read my book.
I have to agree with you about how tea taste never lives up to the way that it smells. I like the idea of trying other people's reading routines and now I want to give it a try!
audiobooks have always been difficult for me to listen to because i like being able to SEE the book to comprehend it better. i loved the video though! my reading routine is most similar to Read by Zoe.
I used to do that at my college cafeteria which was kinda limited lol, half chocolate and half coffee and a toasted onion bagel with butter and grape jelly, weird I know but it just worked the sweet savory angle.
ive seen a life hack to use chopsticks to eat stuff like cheetos to avoid the dust getting on your hands people who arent used to chopsticks could even get those like beginner ones that help you keep balanced

My reading routine: 1: I go to my room. 2: I go to my favorite box of books that is next to the books that I never read. 3: I pick out a book, (This usually takes minutes and sometimes hours.) 4: I read the book. 5: I then hear "AMANDA COME DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW!" 6: I close my book. If I don't have a bookmark I fold the pages doggy-style. 7: I go downstairs. 8: Apparently my mother/father just wanted me to clean up shxt. 9: I sadly clean it up and don't get paid. 10: I go back upstairs and finish my book. And the favorite place I love to read is probably either on the couch, or between a bear's legs.

15:18 I feel this about some teas I’ve tried in the past. The scent can be therapeutic, but the taste would be a bit... plant-y? Granted, that’s basically what tea is, but depending on the blend, the plant-y-ness can a bit unpleasant, especially for someone unaccustomed to it.

My reading routine usually includes a green smoothie and water in the morning while reading on the couch. If I am reading in the evening I drink a licorice tea latte with almond milk and read in my bed. Not really a snack person when it comes to reading but I am all about beverages.

I love me some tea, but it definitely always smells better. If you find the "tea" taste is a little strong, I find that milk helps tone that down without diluting the flavour

Audiobook for an hour to work, then an hour home. I no longer have time to sit down and spend time physically reading. And I can't read before bed because I'm flat out asleep within two minutes of crawling in bed. That's one perk to being chronically sleep-deprived (thanks, night shift). I also do the audiobook while mowing. That's 2hr on a tractor about once a week, so it's an excellent story session. When I go on vacation, though, which is rare, I always take a couple of books with me. I always make the time to sit and deeply enjoy reading a physical copy of a wonderful book when I'm on break from the real world.

When I read I enjoy snacking on cookies and drinking coffee or hot chocolate. My favorite cookies are Frosted Oatmeal cookies and Snickerdoodles. I enjoy reading in bed but on nice days that ain't to hot or to cold I like reading outside in the woods behind my house, I mostly do that around the fall season though. It's relaxing.😊

I either sit cuddled up in my library with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of tea (hopefully it's raining!) Or sit outside and read! I used to have a tree that I would climb up and it was perfect!! You should try lemon ginger tea sweetened with honey! It's super flavorful!
Tea takes some getting used to... It took me a bit of experimentation before I figured out what kinds of tea I like.
I love those reading routines, I'll sorely need them, cause I need routine or I'll be on my tablet all day (brand new and I'm hooked on a game, bad me!). (To be fair, I also write on my tablet and constantly search for inspiration...) Plus, I won't have too much time, cause university is a looming monster...👾
But anyway, to reading! I LOVE that you're reading The Lost Hero! And I noticed The Red Pyramid on the shelf. Have you read that already? Cause I'm hoooooooooked on that saga! It's like the Merlin of Rick Riordan (hooked on that show as well) while the Percy Jackson sagas are like Supernatural. (Fandoms left and right...) I usually read while waiting for something to load or on the bus and if I discover a book I like, I immediately look if they have an audiobook. I also like to read at night before bed. I don't really care about clothes, if I'm really into the book, but I usually read on my bed or with a blanket on the couch. Can't drink too much coffee sadly, because I have certain allergies, so I prefer tea for this.
So I don't really have a reading routine per se, but I'll try them out for sure. Sorry if that comment is all over the place, cause my thoughts are...

I don't understand how anyone can read and eat. I am so bad at multitasking (to the point where I hold my breath when talking or listening to someone else talk). I am a student so I usually read during the beginning of English class (the teacher has us read any book we choose for the first thirty minutes of class. Then we have to write about it). I'll read during lunch (I actually carry around a lunch bag filled with my library books). Finally, I'll sometimes read during the ride home (most of the time, I take the bus home. I won't read if I'm on the bus because I'm afraid that I'll be too focused on the book that I'll miss my stop. If my dad gives me a ride home, that is when I'll read my book). My reading routine kind of sucks. I set time to read, but if I am interrupted (like if someone starts talking to me or if I need to refuel), I cannot continue reading. I'll try and end up rereading the same paragraph for half an hour before I give up.
I mostly do audiobooks, if I did not I would never get any books read. I feel like my reading routine follows the booktuber in the middle.

I like listening to my book when I'm getting ready in the morning (about 30 minutes), I listen while I'm driving to work or school (about 35 minutes), I listen when I'm at work doing paperwork (about 20 minutes), if I'm closing I listen while I wait for the last people to leave (about 2 hours), then I listen on my ride home (about 35 minutes). I actually get a lot of listening done in one day!

Maybe it's because I'm older but I don't understand how you need all these things to read. I'll read anywhere, the only thing I typically do when reading, is read with music playing and maybe have a beer. However, the idea of reading while taking notes is something I could see myself trying, I tend to forget details or sometimes I just like a particular word or sentence and I feel like writing them down would be solve all this.

My reading routine usually takes place at night, probably 7-9:30pm. I always make sure I have my makeup taken off because it bothers me if I don’t, and I have pajamas and my heated blanket. I light a few candles, turn on my salt lamp, make a cup of tea and snuggle with my puppy in my bed as I read my book.

I used to do that at my college cafeteria which was kinda limited lol, half chocolate and half coffee and a toasted onion bagel with butter and grape jelly, weird I know but it just worked the sweet savory angle.

My reading routine:
1: I go to my room.
2: I go to my favorite box of books that is next to the books that I never read.
3: I pick out a book, (This usually takes minutes and sometimes hours.)
4: I read the book.
5: I then hear "AMANDA COME DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW!"
6: I close my book. If I don't have a bookmark I fold the pages doggy-style.
7: I go downstairs.
8: Apparently my mother/father just wanted me to clean up shxt.
9: I sadly clean it up and don't get paid.
10: I go back upstairs and finish my book.
And the favorite place I love to read is probably either on the couch, or between a bear's legs.

15:18 I feel this about some teas I’ve tried in the past. The scent can be therapeutic, but the taste would be a bit... plant-y? Granted, that’s basically what tea is, but depending on the blend, the plant-y-ness can a bit unpleasant, especially for someone unaccustomed to it.
