I loved the hunger games but Harry Potter was a complete miss :( Honestly kinda disappointed. And its not because i disliked books with the genre of fantasy.
I never knew there was a hype. I just stumbled on the books and decided to pick one up. Did not regret it in the slightest. But the two movies? (Unless there's more I don't know about) they're okay, just so far flung than what's in the books.

I love getting into hyped books, especially since I don’t live in the UK or the US, so for me hype on BookTube and bookstagram has a lot of influence on which not-Danish books I even hear about. That being said, I’ve had The Fault in Our Stars sitting om my shelf since 2014 and still haven’t read it. Yet.

I easily escaped several hyped books... I ignore it... I have read books before they became super popular like school for good and evil. Otherwise the only book series I got into because of hype is the manga series promised Neverland. Also if you love manga, especially horror manga with lots of mystery and secrets I suggest reading promised Neverland.
Liz’s Library The Stormlight Archive is very good... it was an amazing read for me. I always thought I knew what was going to happen and then... let's just say book 1 is amazing, book 2 is more amazing and book 3 is even more amazing! I love them. If you want to have a short taste of Sanderson's writings, start with The Emperor's Soul novella. It's short and very good.

I fell into the Brandon Sanderson hype and sure am glad I did-- He's now my favorite author! TMI is one series I've been avoiding forever because of all the hype, and I'm still not sure if I'll ever read it XD I remember enjoying Divergent when it first came out, but yeah the series as a whole wasn't the best :P I decided to read The Martian after watching the movie, and it was so good!
Well, I live in Russia and it's the best way to escape the hype vortex😂 it takes a couple of years to translate a book (sometimes a couple of decades) and bring it to the Russian audience. And if you order it from Amazon in origin you sometimes have to pay up to 50$ shipping. Hachiko mod on actually😂. Constantly.

I honestly think giving into hype is one of the best ways to understand people!! If everyone is reading it and talking about it, there must be something to say! There is no shame in hype, it’s how we can relate to eachother over shared interests or even differing opinions.
I hate divergent for the hype it gets and the comparison of it with The Hunger Games!!! (Hunger Games is my LIFE, and I hated divergent- or maybe I just disliked it because I had high expectations due its comparison with Hunger Games ) I liked the story initially, but the rest of the trilogy was kind of lame for me.....Cuz I really didn't like Tris and Tobias, the side characters were better than the main characters
i couldnt figure out why i knew the name Holly Black.. But she wrote one of my favorite childhood series!!! The Spiderwick Chronicles are wonderful, i could probably devour both of those series in a day. I love those

I read " A court of thorns and roses" because of the hype and I actually didn't like the first book that much, but on the other hand the second book was awesome! And I'm totally in love with the third one. My bonding with the characters now is so deep, I just don't want it to ever end 😭

I read " A court of thorns and roses" because of the hype and I actually didn't like the first book that much, but on the other hand the second book was awesome! And I'm totally in love with the third one. My bonding with the characters now is so deep, I just don't want it to ever end 😭
