you've inspired me to try this challenge too but i am scared i'm going to fail 😭😭 also Silver Under Nightfall looked really interesting but when you mentioned that "they very much have that dynamic of always bickering with each other but they kinda seem like they're gonna fck" AND NOW I NEED THIS BOOK IN MY LIFE HAHAH
i've been thinking this about lily gold, i've read all 3 of those books? and my favorite is the one i read first because in that book those characters were "new" to me
First of all, you have the best hair!! I wish I could have an ounce of that body! That is sad that your local B&N is closing :( I need to carve out more time in a day to read. I think 150 pages a day of physical reading is too much for me right now (maybe audio I could) but even just challenging like 50 pages a day would be good motivation for me.
Yess 50 pages a day is a good goal! For me it was all about trying to rebuild the habit of reading into my daily routine so I think any page goal works for a challenge like this!
I'm currently suffering from Interview with the Vampire brain rot and desperately crave more vampire content. I'll definitely be checking out Silver Under Nightfall cause it sounds great
I felt like the bullies in The Blood Trials sounded like that just from reading it physically - haha. I dnf-ed not super far into it, though. OMG Lyndsay Faye has a new book I had no idea... !!! I was one of the ppl who loved Jane Steele haha
I don't think 3 stars is an unfair rating for a book you liked, depending on why you gave it 3 stars. For example, I gave Priory of the Orange Tree 3 stars because I didn't like the way the plot was structured, and I often say how much I /love/ that book, because I do, I just think the end could have been done better 🤷🏻
I ended up really loving The Blood Trials. It really surprised me but it was a fun time. Also NK Jemisin is so damn good. Broken Earth is such an incredible series. I like her Dreamblood duology too! Her recent books The City We Became and the World We Make are kinda cool too. The only issue is The City We Became seems written for clueless white people and so it very much holds your hand through like "baby's first racism" lol. But I enjoyed the sequel a lot.
I loved the Swedish mountain men book and then did not like any of Lily Gold’s other poly romances 🥲 although I did think the celebrity body guard book was fun at times

@@MinaReads faking with benefits! i think them all having a pre-existing relationship differentiates it a lot from the rest

Hey Mina! Do you know how long it takes for you read 150 pages? Does it take all day or just a few hours?
Just a few hours usually! The most important part is finding the uninterrupted time for reading
