there are not a lot of booktubers that have similar taste to me but i feel like rachel and i have such similar tastes and her vibes are amazing. she is a literal fairy princess i just want to hug her so bad. also my heart burst when she said she was loving addie larue it is one of my FAVORITES
I was so happy when Sara Carolli and Destiny Sidwell did the random TBR Jar prompts that they saw on your channel! I love that all my comfort booktubers are mentioning each other 🥰🥰
18:45 WHY AM I CRYING! i've been waiting for you to pick up Addie LaRue and i'm so glad you love it! V.E Schwab is one of my fav authors with Addie being my fav from her
i think a 'one author for one week/however many weeks' could be fun. of course, the time frame could be changed but it'll be interesting to see how much you can explore an author's work in a certain amount of time.
I can relate to how you are feeling to binding 13. It took me a long time to get into binding 13 and didnt get the hype but kept pushing through it and then i ended up falling in love with it.
Read A Darker Shade of Magic! It’s my favourite fantasy series, also so glad you finally read Addie LaRue, every TBR video where you passed it over I was going crazy, V.E. Schwab is such an incredible author
Such a fun concept! Today has been full of a work shift and trying to finish an assignment due tomorrow, so this is the perfect video to watch before I head home from uni and read a few chapters before bed!
Your videos have become my safe space ❤ I have an exam tomorrow and my anxiety is through the roof and I just know this will settle me I also am loving living vicariously through you because I do so much uni reading I don't have a lot of time to read for pleasure 😅❤
Stick with Binding 13 because it’s soooo good and sooo emotional. I absolutely loved it and those characters will always hold a special place in my heart.
always so happy to see a new video from you! so glad you liked the housemaid! it was my first read of the year and rated it 4.5! also i controversially didn't like binding 13 at all but get so scared to talk about it because of how well loved it is. so just wanted to say, don't feel scared to admit it may not be the book for you. your authentic self is the one everyone loves and wants to see :))
ive been waiting for you to read Addie Larue (I’ve probably commented on every single one of your tbr jar videos about it) and I’m sooooo glad youre loving it!! ❤
I'm so excited for you to read A Darker Shade of magic trilogy! Its one of my favourite series and a really good introduction to V.E Schwab. I found it slow but that didn't bother me at all!
A book I read recently that reminded me so much of Addie LaRue in terms of mood and writing style was Weyward by Emilia Hart. If you're ever craving a similar vibe, I definitely recommend it :D
Loved this video! As far as recommendations… I know Sara Carrolli did a video where a tik tok filter picked her reads and I thought that was really fun as well!
I had the same feeling with binding 13 in the beginning the first half was kind of not catching me but it gets you at some point and I am so invested now haha
I love this video! 🙈 Might try this challenge myself, but with books on my phone cause I don't got that many physical books to read hehe 🙈🙈 but you've inspired me, I haven't been in the biggest reading mood this month so it might be fun 😅
I literally am still on the ads as i type this but i’m SO hype to hear your thoughts on Addie LaRue!!! It was such a slow start for me and i questioned why i was reading it but when the shift happens IT HAPPENED !!! Ahh so excited to watch 💘✨
I love V. E. Schwab so much! just read This Savage Song by them and I loved it so much! It's a ya dystopian and the plot, the characters, the writing: all of it was just *chefs kiss*
As someone who has read binding 13 and the whole addicted series, i will say that the found family is not comparable (i enjoyed the addicted series found family dynamic more). I gave binding 13 a 5 stars and at the first 30% I didn’t understand the hype either. I stopped reading it for like 5 months, but just kept thinking about the characters and eventually picked up again and fell in love. So I think you should just leave it until you feel like reading it again and if don’t pick it up again then honestly it’s probably just not your jam. 😚
I am currently reading 6 of crows. For some reason the first few days of reading it I only read about 10 pages at a time. I finally got into the story and read over 120 pages yesterday
I'm limiting myself to 100 pages a day so I can read slowly and enjoy the book. I'll cut back to 50 pages a day when I'm in a slump which is once every 6 months or so. When I pressure myself to read more I get really anxious and don't enjoy the book for what it is 😂
I agree 100% on binding 13 i dnfed and I literally NEVER do that I always push through but I couldn’t do it and I even had the physical copy and the audio book. I wish I got the hype but I do not at all.
Screaming, I was hopeful you would like A Deadly Education but you even finished The Last Graduate. I agree, The Last Graduate is my fav of the trilogy, I don’t want to spoil for others but there’s a certain trope in here that was done so well, I don’t know if I’ll ever find another book that does it this good. SPOILERS BELOW: When all these students from different countries with their own prejudice and judgement, agreed to work TOGETHER to get everyone out. Even the characters you found annoying at first are working together because they’re all in the same boat. The scene when El goes to the cafeteria and there are people doing pushups so they can build the energy for her (I forgot the name for it). The large scale camaraderie was beautiful.
I so want to become a reader girlie after watching you guys!! I actually loved verity and I am now thinking about reading housemaid. Look at me trying to become a reader at 28!!😂 Also these challenges are so fun to watch!!
Personally, once I start a book, whether it's a good book or not, I can't help but finish the book the same day I started...unless if it's a very thick book that it's just impossible for me to read in one day...😅
I think you’ve been super fun if you had to add the numbers that you didn’t read the day before to the ones you had to read the day after that would’ve been so challenging❤❤❤
I never track my pages, so this would be an interesting thing to do for a week. Heard so many things about Binding 13...... Can't wait to see if you end up liking it.
How did you get the book your currently reading on your kindle as your main picture ?!! I’ve been trying since I got it. I see no options for it! Love your videos! ❤
Please Read or buy The girl beneath the sea . It is Glorious and Just my favorite.I think you will love it .It is fabulous and my body and soul loves it💖
The average amounts of pages I read a day is 100-150 pages and I am okay with that!! This is a good challenge, Rachel to just get books done!! Love youu! 💜💜
Are kindles worth it?? I love reading books as I’m off technology and I feel like it’s just like looking at a screen? Pros and cons?! Thankyouuuu 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Love these videos Rachel!
The kindle uses a e-ink screen so its not like a phone screen at all. I have the kindle paper white currently, but have used kindles since generation one nearly 10 years ago. Pros, you can get books from your library to the kindle if they use the Libby app. I read much more on my kindle, its extremely portable and I find myself bringing it with me every day. The battery life is great, I charge my kindle maybe 3 times a month and thats with reading everyday for an hour or more. Cons, you r book can die on you, but that never happened to me. It can be difficult to get pdfs onto your kindle that arent through the kindle store, but you can download pdfs of a book onto your phone and send it to the kindle, but that can be a hassle. I would not recommend Kindle unlimited, as i read lots of high fantasy and complex magic systems, and I haven’t found many options for me on there. However KU has lots of romance and lighter reads. Hope this helps!
You need to read Gallant by VE Schwab. It’s a YA book but so good! I loved Addie but my mom and sister didn’t lol. I’m currently reading Binding 13 too as a night time book before I sleep. I’m hoping it as good as everyone says.
Best video to wake up to 🤩
This comment is everything and more❤
Hope you had a nice time in Japan Haley ❤ ( or have if you're still there )
My two favorite book tubers are here! 😍
hope you had a nice time in japan, haley💗😁😄
I need to see you do this!!!!
there are not a lot of booktubers that have similar taste to me but i feel like rachel and i have such similar tastes and her vibes are amazing. she is a literal fairy princess i just want to hug her so bad. also my heart burst when she said she was loving addie larue it is one of my FAVORITES

Awwwww no way she responded :))))))))

such a good challenge, and i love the idea of adding pages to make up for the previous day. i love that you do rereads!
After a clusterf***k dumpster fire shift as a nurse this is perfect to come home to 💗 your videos are so calming I love them
Read A Darker Shade of Magic! It’s my favourite fantasy series, also so glad you finally read Addie LaRue, every TBR video where you passed it over I was going crazy, V.E. Schwab is such an incredible author
I will definitely try to pick it up soon!!
same!! hahaha
I read it last year but i didn't enjoy it. It was really slow for me.
Such a fun concept! Today has been full of a work shift and trying to finish an assignment due tomorrow, so this is the perfect video to watch before I head home from uni and read a few chapters before bed!
Your videos have become my safe space ❤

Goodluck in your exam! You’ll do amazing 🤍
Now who likes books here?😊
Stick with Binding 13 because it’s soooo good and sooo emotional. I absolutely loved it and those characters will always hold a special place in my heart.
rachels videos are like therapy
Watching rachel before school >>>
Literally loved everything about this!!
always so happy to see a new video from you! so glad you liked the housemaid! it was my first read of the year and rated it 4.5! also i controversially didn't like binding 13 at all but get so scared to talk about it because of how well loved it is. so just wanted to say, don't feel scared to admit it may not be the book for you. your authentic self is the one everyone loves and wants to see :))

I love when you make your shocked faces!
A book I read recently that reminded me so much of Addie LaRue in terms of mood and writing style was Weyward by Emilia Hart. If you're ever craving a similar vibe, I definitely recommend it :D
love to see you branching out (with Addie Larue)
AND MORE OF THIS PLEASE
I think listening to Binding 13, at least partially, really helps to connect to the characters- especially because of their Irish accents.
Loved this video! As far as recommendations… I know Sara Carrolli did a video where a tik tok filter picked her reads and I thought that was really fun as well!
I had the same feeling with binding 13 in the beginning the first half was kind of not catching me but it gets you at some point and I am so invested now haha
Sounds like an excellent challenge to follow, the perfect solution for my 14 days and counting reading slump! Great job! The Schwab book looks great.
Victoria Schwab is my favorite author!! Love that you’re loving her books too!! They’re just so unique and different from the rest!
love the verses at the beginning of your videos
I love this video! 🙈 Might try this challenge myself, but with books on my phone cause I don't got that many physical books to read hehe 🙈🙈 but you've inspired me, I haven't been in the biggest reading mood this month so it might be fun 😅
“If you know you know”
I know and I absolutely agree with you!
I like how you explained the Invisible Life of Addie Larue! Describing it as a character study is pretty accurate
Omg I loved this video! I wish this was a challenge people done a lot like the 24hr challenges, cause this was extremely entertaining! Thank you!❤
I literally am still on the ads as i type this but i’m SO hype to hear your thoughts on Addie LaRue!!! It was such a slow start for me and i questioned why i was reading it but when the shift happens IT HAPPENED !!!
Ahh so excited to watch 💘✨
Absolutely devoured the invisible life of addie larue
I’m so glad you loved Addie LaRue!!! One of my favorite books of all time 🫶🏼
I love V. E. Schwab so much! just read This Savage Song by them and I loved it so much! It's a ya dystopian and the plot, the characters, the writing: all of it was just *chefs kiss*

Okay thank you!! I feel like this is what I needed to hear 😂 I’ll keep it for when I’m more in the mood for a contemporary romance! 🫶🏼
Ve Schwab’s writing is so beautiful. Wish she put more work in the concept of Gallant as well. It had so much potential. 😭
if you’re loving v.e schwab and it’s in fantasy mood you NEED to read gallant from her, it was one of my favorite from her maybe my favorite
Now I really want to try this!
Videos like these are so fun and satisfying ❤ more please 😂
You’re so beautiful ! Another great video ❤❤
obsessed w the kindle stickers 😍
love this video idea. really wanna try it myself. Please do more reading videos xx
You should read Gallant by V.E. Schwab. It was the first book I read by her and I fell in love with her writing 🤍
Can you make a video about your favorite fantasy books
I am currently reading 6 of crows. For some reason the first few days of reading it I only read about 10 pages at a time. I finally got into the story and read over 120 pages yesterday
I want that edition of Addie!
I bought the housemaid but haven’t been wanting to read it so this is the perfect motivation! ❤
I'm limiting myself to 100 pages a day so I can read slowly and enjoy the book. I'll cut back to 50 pages a day when I'm in a slump which is once every 6 months or so. When I pressure myself to read more I get really anxious and don't enjoy the book for what it is 😂
You have me convinced to reread ACOTAR! 😍
V.E. Schwab aka Victoria Schwab is a great writer. If you haven't read it yet, try This Savage Song duology. So good
I’d love a sequel tho of Addie
I agree 100% on binding 13 i dnfed and I literally NEVER do that I always push through but I couldn’t do it and I even had the physical copy and the audio book. I wish I got the hype but I do not at all.
I can SO relate to reading mutiple books at the same time. Currently reading 6 books and i‘m such a mood reader 🥲
This was SO fun!! 🥰
I agree with Addie Larue, I was like what is that all at the end 😂
Screaming, I was hopeful you would like A Deadly Education but you even finished The Last Graduate. Very interesting. I read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue in 2020 and it took me months because I was so bored
Loved this! ❤

I wanted to love Addie so much but unfortunately I didn’t , it took me so long to finish, really wanna reread it to love it
I love your videos! I haven’t read anything by V. E. Schwab, but I’m intrigued!
I think you’ve been super fun if you had to add the numbers that you didn’t read the day before to the ones you had to read the day after that would’ve been so challenging❤❤❤
sadly this week I dnf'd magnolia parks. I was feeling very similar to you felt about binding 13.
Rachel! I finished Magnolia Parks the other day.. I’ll never be the same. I’m consumed
Know My Name was my fave book of last year 😍❤️
I never track my pages, so this would be an interesting thing to do for a week.
Heard so many things about Binding 13...... Can't wait to see if you end up liking it.

Hello, Rachel! what type of music do you listen to while reading? just curious😊
Are kindles worth it??

I was not a fan of binding 13. I tried and I tried and I couldn’t.
