I like the live coaching even more when bsj forces himself to sticking to the players camera. That way we learn more about information priority. What do you need to know vs what is nice to know. And it is even more stressful for the player which I consider to be quality entertainment :D
The lower the mmr the more you need to farm as a support. Your team will never play that efficiently that the every part of the map is getting farmed. But the higher you go the more you will see map utilization and the less you have to farm.
I went from Crusader to high Legend. My farm as a support went way down, there's just less shit I can go to farm myself, everything's pushed and farmed.
@@SinisterMJ that just means you need to start doing real support stuff more but never stop farming if you found opportunities to farm. In pubs the team with the higher networth usually wins... even pos 5 or 4 are part of that networth increase it.
Higher mmr know how to get farm without farming, warding , stacking and not dieing is the best way to increase networth/mmr as support otherwise ur hurting ur team by farming... unless ur crusader or below 😂

A low level support can just farm more cause there's more available on the map, the cores are a lot less efficient. Example: Core Luna, Herald, 20 mins: avg 7362g Core Luna, Divine, 20 mins: 9490g Support Warlock, Herald, 20 mins: avg 4344g Support Warlock, Divine, 20 mins: avg 3931g Its not that the Divine support doesn't know how to last hit / farm, its just that there is nothing available for him.
I'm a crusader 5 myself and a support too, and I have to say I learn a lot from these videos. In this particular one, tho, what I notice is that BSJ wins the game based basically on his game/map awareness and understanding where people are and where they should be, which is a skill sooo hard to practice.
I guess that essentially what this video is about is: pushing the side lanes and taking the farm that your team is missing at the same time + avoiding all the stupid shit.

litearlly like in this game: if you cant do jack shit and theres lanes to farm, go farm those lanes (small edit: depends of rank ofc, also lanes/camps that are not near any core, like the cm farming the bot lane 40 minuts cuz neither naga nor sniper even thought about going down there)
you can combine these two if you have some survivability, like ogre, cm or kotl with glimemr etc, and be bait for your team either you get farm and push out waves or take away enemy jungle or your team gets either a pickoff or only loses a support

There was a couple moments where I really wanted him to force staff in, ult and glimmer to change the direction of a fight in a huge way. But other than that I learned a lot about how to play cm. Nice!
@@no3ironman11100 Hence the glimmer, or wait till straight disables are used then go. Even if you take the focus for a second or two, that can often be a fight changer in itself. Especially after your carry's bkb wears off, and they stun you instead of him.
Just remember that if they were good enough to know how to correctly play both their own and your hero at the same time, they would be in a higher bracket
I'll be honest- I was a ride or die core player since I started playing Dota but the educational smurf and the live coaching that you do for support players might eventually get me to buy a ward some day (also this is superb content)
would be super helpful to explain when you see why the fights are being taken so bad, what is so bad and how the team would need to fight differently. not much time to do this in live coaching but after the game is over it would be really good to hear why and what on those parts that didn't get the time before to be explained
As a divine 1 player, though I'm a midlaner, usually I win my games as pos 5/4 because I know how annoying/important a support can be by doing what a pos1/2 in the map, but buying a linken to prevent my carry dies that was new for me.

I'm just a bit curious, I see you priorities farm a lot more than being around your team in the early game, it kinda makes me think if you farm so much while your team constantly fight at 4v5 (at best), and if they get to the late game like that it kinda looks like they would manage to do relatively fine without the support (?) Wouldn't it be better if you just grouped up around the sniper, enable him to get as much kills as possible, push when u can and close the game even before min 40? Because it looks like the sniper just completely saved that team (?)
It´s quite sad, that carry players in our rank are doing the same (being in jungle/chasing and feeding), while lanes are pushed towards us. Then there start blaming of support being on lane and literraly the only one, who push the lane back :)

if you pick a hero like cm who can push side lane without showing, your enemy can NEVER do that. You don't seem to realize how big impact that is when BSJ tell him to wave the creeps all the game, consistently. @@phunweng962 Dude I play hood alot and hood is better than cm with maelstrom. but the enemy team its like they don't have time they pushed us so hard ( Brood - Beast master - Visage ) these type of hero they can be in your base under 20 min or they will follow you around in low mmr nobody care about the side lanes and split psuhing that's why arc in low mmr can 1 vs 5. as pos 4 you have nothing to do btw my mmr is 5.2K divine 4

I have started to play carry offlane primarily like Ammar_The_Fucker. I have gained 2 stars on my Guardian rank in 3 days. I watched a lot of BSJ and other streamers to how to read matchups and lane equilibrium. In most matchups now, I am more farmed than enemy carry while playing offlane

so with the lvl 20 talent thing where he skilled poorly, I think what it is and I do this too, is a lot of players use the torte or immortal faith guide and end up following the guide exactly in order every game, I myself have been trying to get more into the sense of playing based on the game itself and not based off the guide but it can be hard to change to that mindset when playing that way for so long
@@icata12345 Or just make your own guide. I spam certain heroes which i just take the time and optimize my own guide. Even if i think my guide is good i dont always choose what It says to get... every matchup is different and most people will not understand this without playing a hero over and over against different heroes.
I climbed from Herald 5 starting at covid, then stuck at Crusader 5 until a month ago, and now Legend 1, and I can say that Crusader 5/Archon 1 was the worst rank I've been at by far. Really enjoyed watching this one
I’ve played with my 6k friends, I’ve played at 2k because I quit dota for 2 years after talents were introduced. When I came back, everybody was just better at the game than they were before. I’ve been climbing back up to my old 6k rank. And I have to say, nothing was harder than getting over the 2.5k hill.
@@tylerreis-sanford5234 As a support player: having to pick up the slack, farming where I really shouldn’t be because the carry can’t play the map right, 4 position that thinks they have to buy out all of the wards when they have no real concept of where vision needs to go(they always put 3 wards on our side of the map when we’re ahead and they immediately get dewarded giving the enemy a vision advantage). I got past this rank by playing cm, farming just like this video and building blink > gem > boots of bearing. Every single game.
If you're low MMR and playing as pos5, just pick Jakiro, at least 60% of the map is left unfarmed, just buy some clarities and get big. Also always buy tranquils and move on foot on the lane you want to farm, always keep TP off cd so you can join your team if they need you.
So I haven't played dota in 7 years. The matchmaking has been insanely bad. It's almost like the game still thinks I am high MMR. While I am actually very very bad. And people are hating and being toxic to me. How do I get my MMR fixed? I don't want to keep doing this to people. I thought by now my MMR would have been reset?
It's because even the people in lower MMR have developed past you. 7 years is a long time. Just keep playing (and losing), and you will eventually drop down to your own level. And be sure to re-calibrate your MMR if the option is available.

2k dota - telling your teammates to take Roshan is like telling them to do the dishes.

Most of the games it's Max Q. Easier to farm and clear waves.
Only time you max W first is if your team needs disable to kill.
