Thanks am just working on a scoodie with beads for my daughter but have strung the beads onto the wool pre starting the project, then slide up as needed. Is looking gorgeous. Like your idea of threading directly onto hook though.
Check the quality of the beads before you buy and make sure to get beads that are not scratchy or pointy because they will ruin your blanket. I made a small wall hanging 10" x 10" and would up sanding away rough edges for a very long time.
My all time favorite sweater was cotton, medium blue and had bluish faux pearls. In fact it is the same sweater in my thumbnail pic❣️ thanks for sharing. I honestly have been wondering for years how to put them into crochet wearables. Bless your ❤️ 🙏🏼 PS. LOVE your content 🧶🧶🧶
HELP! I am using a size 5 crochet hook with #4 worsted weight yarn. My 6x9 beads don't seem to work unless I use a size 3 crochet hook......What should I do? Contemplating changing to a yarn weight of 3.
Due to the beads, I would recommend starting over with a hook that fits into the beads. If you keep the blanket and just change hooks, the blanket will not work out even.
Not new I remember these were popular in the 80 ‘s fun for bring it back .
It is fun!
Agreed.........been around for a long time. Great video and thanks for reviving an old craft.
I remember my grandmother showing me this in the early 2000s, so glad you’re letting it be known it’s been earlier as well. Thank you OG crocheters ❤️

Thank you and welcome!
I had a crochet dress with beads on when I was a kid. Might be something I will do again as an adult. But I want to have a go at this blanket first
You can do it!
Well easy to watch and learn from your tutorial.

My 6x9 beads won't slip on a 3.5mm hook....have to use a 3.0mm

What size bead did you use?
Package just says pony beads.
I bought a 6.41 oz bag of CREATOLOGY beads and almost every single bead had parting line flash. I will never buy that brand again.
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that!
