When my girl was young, I would crochet beads on her white bobby socks. Her Christmas ones will bells were her favorite! Not sure her teacher appreciated tbem.😂
My sister has three large dogs that are all afraid of thunder and firework noise. I thought I might try this to make them weighted coats! Wish me luck. 🤪
This is a great idea. I have a weighted blanket and I don’t like it on my feet. This is a perfect way to customize the size and color. Very nice tutorial, easy to follow. Thank you.
I made one recently. So much fun! I used pony beads from Walmart. They have a larger hole so that I can use a 4mm hook! I also made mine with 1 row beads and 2 rows hdc. Turned out wonderful!
I saw someone on TT making this but as a crossbody bag. I loved it so much I came on here for a full tutorial and yours stuck out to me. Thank you so much!! I can’t wait to start making my very own bead project ♥️♥️
I am making a small blanket for myself. LB Schitt's Creek bone colored yarn with royal blue beads. Thanks for the tutorial. It's easier than I originally thought.
Curious as to why you use a larger hook for the row of hdc… wouldn’t using the smaller hook put more yarn per square inch helping to add weight to the blanket? Just curious Thx :)
The original chain would be really tight if she did it with the thinner hook. So she uses the larger one first and the smaller one once she needs to be able to fit it through the beads.
I'm having trouble with the sides of my work. The beginning side of my bead row stays straight but the trailing end just keeps growing. What would y'all advise doing to fix it?
People with sensory issues or anxiety find them very comforting. The sensation is similar to deep pressure therapy that some service dogs are taught to provide
I always laugh when I see crochet videos for projects that have existed for several years by other creators that seem to go viral every few years on rotation. 😂
If you knew this existed for years you could at least credit the original artist?? She did in this video, very commendable to credit where she found this pattern.
I have a question about your hooks, I love working with Prym hooks, the largest hook was that a Prym? First time I see one with a diffrent design on the handle 😊
That happens with EVERYTHING, music, movies , everything gets repeated with a slight twist with each generation. So what is your point? Don’t be an asshat.

I was thinking about doing that.
Are pony beads really heavy enough to make this a proper weighted blanket?
@@MsGigglemonkey it gets heavy
@@MsGigglemonkey Oh yes!!! You would be surprised how "weighty" they really are!
Beautiful and easy to follow! I really expected it to be more difficult. Thank you!

Best video I've seen that shows how to do this type of project! Thank you!
Wow! Love it! 👏👏❤ I will definitely be trying this. I will start small and see how it goes. Thank you for a great video.😘
Excited to try this
Best explanation I’ve come across! Thank you.
Thank you so much for the simple video you made!! I did it!❤
Clover 3.75 is the largest hook to go through a bead. I tried many other brands and Clover is the only one.
This is so much easier to understand! Thank you.
Thank You, Jess!
What a Fantastic weighted blanket tutorial !
I’m excited to create one!
Many, Many Thank You’s!!!😊
Love this! Would love to see other tutorials for other items TYIA
So fun! I'd love to make one of these for our granddaughter...maybe my "Christmas in July" project. Thanks for the video!

i got around to try this, but mini, with mini beads and a size 2 yarn and hook, its rly cute
adding this to my endless lsit of project haha
❤❤❤❤ Thank you for the video
Awesome I’m working on one too
Any idea where I can get 16mm pearl beads with 2.5 mm hole for crochet? I’m looking everywhere can’t seem to find them!
Are these beads able to be put in the washing machine and dryer?
I would probably do a cold water wash, in a washer bag, then hang to dry...im wondering too because it would probably shrink if not careful
@@1000_sweet_ideasif it’s polyester it won’t shrink. I worry about the beads breaking / melting though.
@@melissajenkins9960That’s why she said wash cold.

It's because the beads are wider & taller than a regular stitch, so the HDCs need to be wider & taller stitches to compensate for that.
This is beautiful. Can you explain why you're switching crochet hooks?
Mainly so she can add the bead to the stitch
The original chain would be really tight if she did it with the thinner hook. So she uses the larger one first and the smaller one once she needs to be able to fit it through the beads.
I wanna make a sweater for my dog 😅

Sounds like you are adding a stitch at the end of the bead row

You're a moron@lilswamphag so f*k what if you knew about it? Celebrate that someone learned a hand craft.
