I'm making a beaded produce bag using the tiny crochet hook method. I honestly didn't know they came that small. It is working so well and looks very pretty. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Your work is lovely. Can't wait to bead something else.
To add a new strand of yarn, you could use a ‘magic knot’. It is a simple technique, won’t separate, and will reduce the amount of bulk you have at the join. If you find it is visible in your work, simply move it to the back of the work. No more strands to weave in as you can cut the end quite close to the knot without worry.
This was very helpful and informative. Thank you. I especially liked/appreciated that you kept the moment of "bead escape" in the video and showed how to capture it again. I am excited to try your Tunsian method of beading.
I would have never thought of adding beads to crochet. I have /TONS of beads and a bead spinner sooooo looks like I have something new to try! Thank you
This is such a terrific video! Thank you for showing the different ways to add the beads and sharing your preferred method, which I think is fantastic. Not to mention I'm excited to try your tip on securing the tails of the thread/yarn, as well as beading! I am a newer crocheter (a more than slightly obsessed one at that!) and your videos are extremely helpful and easy to follow. I'm not nearly as intimidated to try this now. Next method to tackle after I've got this one down is Tunisian- which also seems intimidating, but looking forward to watching your videos on that as well. Thank you again! 😊
Your tutorial is exactly what I was looking for to incorporate my love for beadweaving into my love of crochet. This was very detailed and easy to understand. Thank you so much! I love the purse, too! I'll be checking out your free pattern. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video. I do bead work on a loom. I have been crocheting for 58 years. My mom started me at age 7, she also taught me to knit and I want to add beads to my crocheting and knitting Barbie doll clothes. I love bead working and crocheting and knitting. I now can combine them together. I just started to design Barbie doll dresses and now I can add beads to them. Thank you.
Wow. This was so thorough and so helpful. I've been wanting to add beads to my crochet. You demonstrated several ways to do it so well and made it look easy, too. Thank you!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for sharing your work. You have a beautiful voice and captivating that I couldn’t take my eyes off as you showed us how to do it. Many blessings always. 😍❤️🌹
Thanks a lot for this nice and instructing video! I already hooked a spiral with your last method here and made it also on a flat work (working going and coming) and it’s the fastest one even if we must string all pearls before the beginning what takes also much time even if one has a stringing machine. But I find your second method very interesting, I never thought that it would be possible to do it so) and I find it very nice too because one can see the pertes at both sides of the crochet work. It’s a bit complicated but the result worth it too!
You showed how to do 2 of the 3 methods but not the 1st which is sewing on after. That's what I was here for. Pretty purse! I will save this for the other methods for another project
Thank you so much! I have always been afraid of running out of beads so haven't attempted crochet with beads. I've made several beaded crochet bangles after loading ALL the beads and constantly counting to ensure I have enough!!! Found it very tiresome. Your video is very very helpful!
Thank you! My beads kept popping to the inside of the hedgehog. I used your "tunisian" example and they stay on the front/outside!!!!!!! I was so frustrated and now I am flying through the pattern!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love how you put the stringed beads onto the front side. I want to put beads on a picot, so they will have to go onto the chain stitches - how do you suggest I do it? Would love to hear your opinion. Thank you so much.
This is a great way to do it. I tried your method successfully with single crochet. However, is there a way to successfully get the bead on the right side of your work with double crochet? Thank you.
Wow, I was wondering how that is done. I have some beads that I am wanting to use. But I was waiting to find out how it is done, before trying! Thank you! Big Hugs with Lots of Love
Please advise, I'm planning to make a weighted blanket for a friend who has anxiety. Using chenille yarn and a puff zig zag stitch it will already be 4.5kg, but I'm planning to add 4mm crystal beads to make it heavier. I'm hoping I could hide them inside the puff stitches. The yarn is definitely too thick to get through any bead. Looking for advice from anyone? 🙏🩷
Where do I find the bead tool that your using in this video ? I've checked and looked for it through the Amazon page you posted the link to but I can't find the bead tool that your showing in this tutorial?
Thank you so much for showing these tips. Fantastic. By the way, where do you find that great #3 thread? I have been looking for a good thread like that in various colors to do some work. Just keep finding Aunt Lydia #10 which is not what I need. Thanks so much!!👍❤
I'm using size 10 crochet thread to make the Royal Society Purse. What size bead would I be able to string onto it? This is fist time I've tried to bead and crochet, so any help would be wonderful! Thanks!

Ok I know you made this two years ago but I'm hoping someone can answer. At about timestamp 9:40 you said you tied a knot so it wouldn't go anywhere. I'm super new to learning actual techniques for crocheting, where did you tie the knot? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm just in hyperfocus mode and want to get it right.
At 13:26, it seems like you switched from working on the RS of the fabric to working the WS for crocheting the tails in- but I thought the project you were sampling for us was in the round, so I'm a bit confused.
Hi! That pattern is worked joined and turned rounds...so the round with beads added is worked on the RS and the plain sc no bead row is worked from the WS.
Your tutorial of beading crochet is by far the best. I just couldn't get it watching the others. Your method is so well explained. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial. Now I want to put beads on every project!

Enjoyed this video as I was looking for a video to show me how to add beads. What is the little bead spinner called and where to get one?
This was so easy to understand 🥰.
I was wondering if i could use a transparent nylon string instrad of yarn for the sew in method?
I don't see why not!
Very helpful tutorial! Thank you.

Can you do a video tutorial for the bag and card holder pattern? I'm struggling to understand your written pattern
This looks fantastic and the color match up together. I love putting beads on my crochet stuff too.

You could add a second, thinner strand that the beads run down.
Fabulous. Thank you so much!

You'll find links to both in this post: hearthookhome.com/3-ways-to-add-beads-to-crochet/
I have never seen hooks with caps before! Where did you find them?
Thank you!!
How many do I chain for both the purse and coin purse?
