I used to make bracelets like this using size 11 beads. That was 40 years ago. I needed a reminder how to make them again. Really great tutorial. Thank you very much ❤
Thank you very much! That's amazing, I wonder how old this technique actually is. All I know is that crochet beaded purses were made in the early 20th century.
Man, i have greater respect for those who sell roll on bracelets. Between the time spent stringing and learning to crochet and crocheting, $25 isn't too much. 😮 I appreciate your mastery of this topic. Thank you for all you do
You are a wonderful teacher. Even though I had no plans to make a a necklace like this, I was so taken in by the clarity, and quality of your presentation that I continued to watch. Now I feel confident that this is something I can do and would like to make down the road.
I have watched MANY RUclips tutorials for crochet and this is by far the most detailed, informative and perfectly videoed I have ever seen. I'm confident I can make this beautiful necklace (as a complete beginner in beading) with this video. Bravo and thank you so much for your hard work. It's really the best video I've ever watched on RUclips. 👏 👏 👏 👏
I wish I watched your video first. It took me several tried to get the crochet technique right when I first tried this because a few videos I watched you could not clearly see what the person was doing. This is by far the best tutorial I've watched for Bead Crochet!
I like this way of doing it instead f trying to find both loops. I know they are still there but when your older and the eyes are not as good anymore that works great. Thank you !😊😍
Thank you very much.... u have explained so clearly... I have been trying bead crochet for almost a year but couldn't get a hold of it... thanks to ur videos and explanation I finally got it... yehh...
Wow ,I always thought This would be too complicated to attempt but if you know how to crochet and how to bead, then to combine it, is very easy! Thank you for very clear tutorial! 🫶🤗
WOW THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL!!! YOU KEPT YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE WAY. YOU ALSO PUT UP IN THE CORNER UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE VIDEO A PHOTO OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE PUTTING THE HOOK UNDER THE BEAD AND ABOVE THE TWO STRINGS, THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE!!! PLEASE IF YOU COULD, MAKE A BRACELET LIKE THIS NECKLACE WAS MADE, WHERE BOTH ENDS MEET. SHOWING HOW TO JOIN THE BEADS AT BOTH ENDS OF YOUR WORK, END BEADS MEETING TOGETHER. PLEASE HELP AND DO A TUTORIAL ON THIS!!! I SOOO APPRECIATE HOW SLOWLY YOU DO YOUR TUTORIALS!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
I'm so excited to start bead crochet again .When in a greek prison I learned the technique . When I showed craft people what I did they couldn't understand how I did it and I had forgotten how to do it even though used to do it my sleep. Thanks to you I know what to call the process and I'm starting again during these Wisconsin winters. I see your beads wait patiently on their threads and don't slide down like mine do . I'm using medium polyester thread , #8 beads and 1.7 mm crochet hook. Maybe I need a thicker thread? I just ordered a set of needles. I love your accent! Thank you
Thank you very much! ❤️ I use 30W thread with size 8/0 beads. And with 11/0 beads, 50W thread. Mostly polyester, but I also use mercerized cotton. It's not so much the size, but the material and overall properties of the thread. I tried a lot of them before I found the ones that work well. If you're interested, I also sell them on my Etsy www.danysska.etsy.com
😁 I have managed to use a USA crochet hook size no.4 (1.25mm) and black silk thread spool size 30 and wooden spinner Miyuki seed beads size 15/0 ~ will be making a 24inch necklace!! Very pleased with my self ~ you showed me where I was going wrong at the second and third rounds ~ much appreciated! Ty!
Thank you, your explanations are perfect. So easy, so I am going to try this. I do crochet so this should be easy, after watching your video. Your video is so great! The camera doesn't move, steady and your voice is easy to understand.
This is the best video I’ve seen on how to slip stitch a beaded necklace. You explain everything so well that it’s hard not to know what to do! What kind of hook are you using? I like a Clover brand myself and DMC thread. Do you show how to make an invisible join in one of your videos? Please let me know. Beading Hugs, Patty 🧑🏻🦳

Wonderfully helpful video. Mother in law got me a kit to try this and ive just about cried with frusrtration after undoing it countless times. Ready to try again now I have watched this and might start getting into it abit more :)
I have watched so many tutorials of this technique and you have explained everything that used to confuse me lol ie how the patterns work, how to work the length and properly showing where to thread. You commented that you use different sizes of beads usually smaller than the 8/0, which is great for beginners. Any chance you can show the difference the sizes make to the ones you show when filming please. I work with 11/0 or smaller also and would love to see the difference. Sorry but your voice is so sweet I keep nodding off. I Could listen to you all day lol. Im definately clicking the subscribe button. Great work thank you
Terrific video showing the slip stitch method. You covered just about everything that needed to be taught. Your instructions were very clear (your English is great). I know this will help a lot of people, especially those who struggle with those first difficult rows. Thanks for making this tutorial.
Wow!! Thank you so much! I have always wanted to learn how to do this and I found your tutorial. You are an excellent teacher and very kind to share your knowledge. I am so glad that you taught us all this wonderful art!

Hello and greetings from the Czech Republic! Thank you so much for such kind words. It really makes me happy and always motivates me to create more content.
I don't know why RUclips brought me here, but this is a very clear and well made tutorial. I am involved with nothing of this sort as a hobby, but even I could follow along and understand the process
@@Danysska So I did actually end up trying this, albeit with glow in the dark yarn and glow in the dark pony beads, as I didn't want to buy things I might only use once. I strung a length longer than my bed, and ended up with a chunky, loose bracelet. It's certainly got many rough spots, but I didn't have too much trouble, other than beads going on the inside of the tube and not being properly aligned. It's big, obnoxious, and a little bit ugly, and I love it. Glows very vividly as well. Thanks for the tutorial

Having looked through many tutorials on this I wanted to thank you for being the best so far. Of course I love to make projects as difficult as I can for myself so I started my first necklace using size 17/0 seed beads 😜
Hi, of course :) You simply end the thread and add a new thread with the beads strung on it. The tutorial is here: ruclips.net/video/9TaQSJ5f_wA/видео.html
Omg this is so beautiful. 👏🏽👏🏽 I'd love to make it but to be honest it looks a bit difficult to make which may be because I've never done it before. Maybe one day I'll try it because the end result is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. ❤
@@Danysska funny enough I was really inspired after watching couple of your vids that I bought crochet needle few days ago because thanks to my eastern European blood I'm stubborn thus don't give up easy so will try this.👍🏽🤣 They came in a pack of 2 size 2mm + 3mm so do you think this size will be ok?
@@earthlingsandy That's too big :) I use a 0,5 to 0,8mm hook. You can still use around 1 - 1,3mm, but I prefer not to use more than that, because it won't look good.
I just started one, I am trying my best but I'll admit it's pretty frustrating. This is my first ever crochet project and I'm having trouble with tension. I'll keep trying though, at least I understand how this pattern works though. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much ❤️🙂 I believe that you figure the tension out soon. I've been struggling with it myself at the beginning but after about 3 bead crochet ropes done, it was automatic.
What a lovely tutorial that I can’t wait to try. Do you have any recommendations on how I would add larger beads to the sequence? For example, perhaps I want a few rows of slip knot beads and then a larger single bead prior to beginning the sequence. Thank you
Thank you very much! Unfortunately I have no experience with this. For some products I just combined different sizes of beads, but it didn't change the process at all, I crocheted the same way, only I incorporated bigger beads into the pattern. It makes such a nice sculptural pattern.
Very nice job planning and executing this video. Through and clear with helpful hints along the way. I teach and prepare for my in-person classes in the same manner. My students love it!!
The best way to learn is with a striped pattern like this and size 8/0 beads so that the loops are visible enough. When you have a striped pattern like this, the bead you put the hook in the loop with is always the same color as the bead you are crocheting. That way you can check that you're putting the hook in the right loop.
Just found your videos. Very clear and concise instructions at good slow pace for beginners. Camera close up makes it easy to see. Lovely color combinations makes for a beautiful necklace. Thanks, subbing.
I have just started making bracelets this way, but how do I extend the tread using this technique? Thank you for all you very helpfull videos and for sharing all your beautiful things ❤
This is is beautiful and thanks to you I am going to do my best at making a bracelet first. Thank you so much for sharing your videos, they are brilliant xx
Hello fantastic tutorial. Could you please give me an idea how many size 8 seed beads I would need to string using one colour to make a bracelet and what diameter to do. I need to practice how to crochet before I progress to using no more colours and beading longer lengths. Thanks
Hi, I made a whole video on how to calculate how many beads we need. If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look. ruclips.net/video/NACb-84q5hU/видео.html However, if you want to crochet a bracelet with size 8 beads, I recommend a bracelet about 19 cm long and a diameter of about 8 beads. So you'll need to string roughly 152cm (60 inches) of beads.
I learned slip stitch bead crochet when I began doing crochet ropes. Now I use all sorts of beads in different sizes and Swarovski crystals as well. Once you master the slip stitch and single stitch crochet you will be able to use any type of beads and make beautiful different patterns ❤️
Danysska I really love your podcasts and wish that your videos were available when I was learning! I looked all over RUclips and couldn’t find any tutorials (10 years ago) but I was lucky my local bead shop gave me a class and helped me.
If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look. ruclips.net/video/NACb-84q5hU/видео.html
However, if you want to crochet a bracelet with size 8 beads, I recommend a bracelet about 19 cm long and a diameter of about 8 beads. So you'll need to string roughly 152cm (60 inches) of beads.
You're amazing!! Thanks from Brazil!!!
Thank you very much ❤️
Wow this the best tutorial !! You are amazing
Thank you very much!
I learned slip stitch bead crochet when I began doing crochet ropes. Now I use all sorts of beads in different sizes and Swarovski crystals as well. Once you master the slip stitch and single stitch crochet you will be able to use any type of beads and make beautiful different patterns ❤️
I also try to experiment with different kinds of beads. 🙂
Danysska I really love your podcasts and wish that your videos were available when I was learning! I looked all over RUclips and couldn’t find any tutorials (10 years ago) but I was lucky my local bead shop gave me a class and helped me. I too prefer using small hooks 🥰 I am so happy that you have shown people how to bead crochet! It is so much fun and like you said, very addicting ❤️
