    I used to make bracelets like this using size 11 beads. That was 40 years ago. I needed a reminder how to make them again. Really great tutorial. Thank you very much ❤

      Thank you very much! That's amazing, I wonder how old this technique actually is. All I know is that crochet beaded purses were made in the early 20th century.

    Man, i have greater respect for those who sell roll on bracelets. Between the time spent stringing and learning to crochet and crocheting, $25 isn't too much. 😮

    I have watched MANY RUclips tutorials for crochet and this is by far the most detailed, informative and perfectly videoed I have ever seen. I'm confident I can make this beautiful necklace (as a complete beginner in beading) with this video. Bravo and thank you so much for your hard work. It's really the best video I've ever watched on RUclips. 👏 👏 👏 👏

      Není vůbec za co! Jsem ráda, že se to konečně povedlo. Korálek opravdu musí na stranu, to je úplně nejdůležitější, taky jsem to nedělala, když se učila háčkovat a naštvaně jsem odhazovala nepovedené kusy do kouta, po pár řadách pěkně hnusné :D

    WOW THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL!!! YOU KEPT YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE WAY. YOU ALSO PUT UP IN THE CORNER UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE VIDEO A PHOTO OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE PUTTING THE HOOK UNDER THE BEAD AND ABOVE THE TWO STRINGS, THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE!!! PLEASE IF YOU COULD, MAKE A BRACELET LIKE THIS NECKLACE WAS MADE, WHERE BOTH ENDS MEET. SHOWING HOW TO JOIN THE BEADS AT BOTH ENDS OF YOUR WORK, END BEADS MEETING TOGETHER. SHOWING THAT THE BRACELET HAS NO BEGINNING OR ENDING. A PULL OVER YOUR HAND BRACELET, IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. YOUR THE PERFECT PERSON TO SHOW HOW TO DO THIS!!! PLEASE HELP AND DO A TUTORIAL ON THIS!!! I SOOO APPRECIATE HOW SLOWLY YOU DO YOUR TUTORIALS!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

    I'm so excited to start bead crochet again .When in a greek prison I learned the technique . When I showed craft people what I did they couldn't understand how I did it and I had forgotten how to do it even though used to do it my sleep. Thanks to you I know what to call the process and I'm starting again during these Wisconsin winters. I see your beads wait patiently on their threads and don't slide down like mine do . I'm using medium polyester thread , #8 beads and 1.7 mm crochet hook. Maybe I need a thicker thread? I just ordered a set of needles. I love your accent! Thank you

    • @Danysska
      @Danysska  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you very much! ❤️ I use 30W thread with size 8/0 beads. And with 11/0 beads, 50W thread. Mostly polyester, but I also use mercerized cotton. It's not so much the size, but the material and overall properties of the thread. I tried a lot of them before I found the ones that work well. If you're interested, I also sell them on my Etsy www.danysska.etsy.com

    I have watched so many tutorials of this technique and you have explained everything that used to confuse me lol ie how the patterns work, how to work the length and properly showing where to thread.
    You commented that you use different sizes of beads usually smaller than the 8/0, which is great for beginners.
    Any chance you can show the difference the sizes make to the ones you show when filming please. I work with 11/0 or smaller also and would love to see the difference.

      @@Danysska So I did actually end up trying this, albeit with glow in the dark yarn and glow in the dark pony beads, as I didn't want to buy things I might only use once. I strung a length longer than my bed, and ended up with a chunky, loose bracelet. It's certainly got many rough spots, but I didn't have too much trouble, other than beads going on the inside of the tube and not being properly aligned. It's big, obnoxious, and a little bit ugly, and I love it. Glows very vividly as well.

    What a lovely tutorial that I can’t wait to try. Do you have any recommendations on how I would add larger beads to the sequence? For example, perhaps I want a few rows of slip knot beads and then a larger single bead prior to beginning the sequence. Thank you

      Thank you very much! Unfortunately I have no experience with this. For some products I just combined different sizes of beads, but it didn't change the process at all, I crocheted the same way, only I incorporated bigger beads into the pattern. It makes such a nice sculptural pattern.

      The best way to learn is with a striped pattern like this and size 8/0 beads so that the loops are visible enough. When you have a striped pattern like this, the bead you put the hook in the loop with is always the same color as the bead you are crocheting. That way you can check that you're putting the hook in the right loop.

    Hello fantastic tutorial. Could you please give me an idea how many size 8 seed beads I would need to string using one colour to make a bracelet and what diameter to do. I need to practice how to crochet before I progress to using no more colours and beading longer lengths. Thanks

    • @Danysska
      @Danysska  2 года назад

      Hi, I made a whole video on how to calculate how many beads we need. If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look. ruclips.net/video/NACb-84q5hU/видео.html
      However, if you want to crochet a bracelet with size 8 beads, I recommend a bracelet about 19 cm long and a diameter of about 8 beads. So you'll need to string roughly 152cm (60 inches) of beads.

I looked all over RUclips and couldn’t find any tutorials (10 years ago) but I was lucky my local bead shop gave me a class and helped me.
