Hi, when you crochet bead crochet rope, it doesn't matter what size beads you use. Otherwise the patterns for balls, eggs, purses and other shapes are for size 11/0.
How do you know what thread size to use with bead size, and crochet hook? Also, how do you know what size bead cap to use? Thank you for your videos! ❤️🇨🇦 Karen
Hi, if you crochet with 8/0 beads, 30 weight thread, 11/0 beads 50 weight thread and 15/0 beads 80 weight thread. I still use 0.5mm crochet hook, but it's just my personal preference. If you use, say, a 1mm crochet hook for larger beads, that's ok. The size of the bead cap can vary depending on what the beads are like, what the thread is like, how much you tighten....that can't really be determined ahead of time. I have 8mm, 10, 12, 14 and 16mm in my stash and decide based on the specific bead crochet rope.
Hi, no adjustments needed. You simply crochet the rope shorter. You calculate the length of the strung beads as follows: Required length of finished product X Number of beads in 1 row
Hi Dany. I really loved your video! It’s excellent the way you’ve explained everything so clearly. I’m looking into trying bead crochet and you absolutely help. I would like to ask you, if I want to create my own patterns, which tool is the best to use?

If making a bracelet: take the amount of beads in first round and x by 7inches= your answer is how many beads to add to make the 7inches! Sample: 12 beads in first round x 7inches= 119inches of beads 👉🏾 This should make a 7inches bracelet!
Hello Daniella, I love your tutorials. I recently started a RUclips channel where I make some earrings with beads. Can u advice which category best suites this kind of hobbies, thank you.
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial! If you don't mind, I have a troubleshooting question 😅. I haven't had any problems with the slip stitch method, but when it comes to single crochet, my beads always line up incorrectly (they tilt at an angle but stack on top of each other rather than twisting into a diagonal), and a lot of the thread is visible throughout the work. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? As far as I can tell my hook is going into the correct spot (under the top two threads of each stitch), but I'm not sure what else it could be 🥴. SOS lol!
I'm not entirely sure if I can't see it... Can you maybe send me a picture or a video? danysska@gmail.com Usually people have more of a problem with slip stitch than single crochet.... I guess there's not much you can do wrong there, so I'd be interested in that myself too :D
Hi, some time ago I dealt with those differences in thread sizes and came to the conclusion that there should be no differences in sizing in Europe and US. This particular type of thread is not sold in US, but it is not a problem to find a size 30 from another brand www.amazon.com/s?k=crochet+thread+30&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
I would like to know if you have ever used the Slon, SONO, guterman or something like the DMC pearl cotton? I watched this a couple of times and I just haven't caught it, when you get to the end of your row how to you connect it so that you start your next row?
Hello, I tried Slon, Guterman and DMC. You don't see the transition to the next row, because the transition is smooth, I'm constantly crocheting in a circle. So if you don't explicitly count the rows from the beginning, you don't see where one ends and where the other begins.
I didn't mention this. If you crochet with size 8 beads, it is approximately 12 rows (repeats) per inch. So if you want to make 7 inch bracelet, it is about 84 repeats. But it also depends on how much do you tighten the loops.
When ordering beads how do I know how much is in the pck? I mean if I've never made a necklace approx how many beads will I need? They give pcs and grams lol awesome video. I made about 10 rows to practice! I'll have it down in no time thanks to you! 💋
It's great that you did it! Well, how many beads do you need? It depends on the size of the beads and diameter of the necklace - how many beads are in 1 row. I calculated this: If you use size 15/0 beads, there are 20 rows per inch of the finished necklace. So, if you have 12 beads in 1 row, there will be 240 beads per 1 inch of the necklace (20x12=240). Similarly if you use size 11/0 beads, there are 15 rows per inch, 8/0 beads - 13 rows per inch and 6/0 beads -- 10 rows per inch. And almost every eshop shows in the description how many beads are in 1 gram :) Be careful about that, because different brands of seed beads have different amount of seed beads in 1 gram - for example Czech Preciosa is significantly heavier than Japanese TOHO. Hope it helps ❤️❤️❤️
@@Danysska thank you! I took a screen shot of your calculations to help going forward. I ordered some beads for an actual project! You inspired me! Thank you again!
I have a question, if you don’t mind answering it. I’m using 15/0 beads for my next project. There are 27 beads in one row. What stitch should I be using for that one?
Eventuell Denim-Garn.
I'm about to rip my hair out! I bead a lot and wanted to try bead crochet. After a few long (LONG!) hours and wasting a few meters of cordon, I finally managed to catch the issue of loops. I started sewing beads. Four rows. The problem is that the beads don't stick to each other. Everyone sits separately. Am I right to blame crochet? I use a 30 cordon, 11/o beads and a 1mm crochet hook.
Hi, I'd go for a slightly thinner thread and a smaller hook. But it's hard to judge from a distance like that, if you want, send me a picture to danysska@gmail.com and I'll take a closer look. :)
Hi, if for example you crochet a necklace with a length of 60cm, the necklace will have 12 beads per row (as in this tutorial) and you use size 11/0 beads, you will need about 4 320 beads. The shops usually state how many pieces are in one gram, so you can simply work out how many grams you will need to buy. If you write down the length, diameter, and size and type of beads, I'll be happy to calculate it for your specific case.
Of course :) Just remember that the circumference will be smaller - 6 beads instead of 12. And in that case, it is worth considering whether to use slip stitch.
Hello, there is a simple formula: circumference (number of beads in 1 row) X the length of the finished product (necklace, bracelet,...) = length of the bead string. So, if you wanna make 16 inch necklace, your bead string has to be 12 times longer, in this case 192 inches (12 times 16 inches is 192 inches). If the circumference of the bead rope is 10 beads in one row, the required length of the bead string is 10 times longer than the finished product we want and so on. There are always some beads left so you don’t have to string more beads.
It's because you skipped some loops. When I crochet I count the beads in a row from time to time to check if I crochet correctly. If you look at the bead crochet rope closely you should identify the mistake easily.

HI DANYSSKA, THIS IS A CRAZY QUESTION. I HAVE A BEAD CROCHET NECKLACE PATTERN, CAN CHACHE THIS SIMILAR PATTERN TO A BEAD TUBULAR PEYOTE. MMM WHAT YOU THINK
Unfortunately, I think it would not work very well, because the pattern has a completely different structure. I found this article where they tested to transform bead crochet pattern using Bead Tool 4 to a peyote with a twist. Try to check it out :) www.beadinggem.com/2018/06/can-you-use-beaded-crochet-rope-pattern.html If I were you and love the pattern so much, I would redraw it to a blank peyote pattern. Hi, you can either string all the beads before you start crocheting, or you can string them one at a time. It depends on how big of a project you're doing, how many beads there are. If it's a large project with a lot of beads, stringing all the beads at once would be difficult and not easy to work with. I recommend you watch my video here, where I show how you can string beads in sections. ruclips.net/video/ijZyq71TS5o/видео.html

Hola estoy en México. Mándame por favor la página o la app para hacer los patrones
Hola, saludos desde la República Checa! Puedes descargar el software de creación de patrones aquí www.jbead.ch/
Can you please guide me for the length of necklace and bracelets
Hello, there is a simple formula: circumference (number of beads in 1 row) X the length of the finished product (necklace, bracelet,...) = length of the bead string.
So, if you wanna make 16 inch necklace, your bead string has to be 12 times longer, in this case 192 inches (12 times 16 inches is 192 inches). If the circumference of the bead rope is 10 beads in one row, the required length of the bead string is 10 times longer than the finished product we want and so on. There are always some beads left so you don’t have to string more beads.
Excellent!
Thank you!
i dont understand y my the circumference of the rope gets smaller as i bead, how do i make it stay opened?
It's because you skipped some loops. When I crochet I count the beads in a row from time to time to check if I crochet correctly. If you look at the bead crochet rope closely you should identify the mistake easily.
@@Danysska thank you, will try again
Does it matter what type of string you use?
Generally it doesn't matter, you can crochet with almost every type of thread, but the best is to use cotton thread.

Thank you very much!
I use size 11 beads how many rows on the pattern do you go up for that size for a necklace
If you use size 11 seed beads, there are 6 rows in 1 cm. So if you wanna make for example 50 cm long necklace, it's 300 rows.

Hi, almost all stores that sell beads usually have these needles. For example, BeadSmith makes them. But you can also get some off-brand ones on Aliexpress. www.amazon.com/Beadsmith-Big-Eye-Needles-2-125/dp/B01M26SB77

Muchísimas gracias. Desafortunadamente, mi español no es tan bueno como para atreverme a escribir subtítulos. Pero puede activar la traducción automática en la parte inferior derecha, tal vez eso ayude.
Try to check it out :) www.beadinggem.com/2018/06/can-you-use-beaded-crochet-rope-pattern.html
If I were you and love the pattern so much, I would redraw it to a blank peyote pattern. But it's quite time consuming.
OK DANYSSKA , YOU ARE REALLY HELPFUL TO ME WITH MY QUESTIONS, CROCHETIN ITS VERY HURTFUL FOR ME, I'M TRYIN AND TRYING, I LIKE CHALLENGE BUT THIS IS TO MUCH FOR ME. I FOUND A TOOL THAT THEY SAY IT'S EASY BEAD CROCHET. IS THE JAG TOOL
You mean this tool? www.beadinggem.com/2019/03/tool-review-studiodaxs-bead-crochet.html?m=1
@@Danysska, YES, THAT ONE. YOU KNOW IT
I never tried that. But if I come across it somewhere, I will probably buy it and try it.
Bracelet How much cost ?
Hi, I don't actually sell these products, I have a few on Etsy, but they are products that are created while making these tutorials. For the price of the bracelet it depends on the complexity, it varies a lot. However, you can find a lot of these on Etsy from other sellers, maybe you'll find something you like :)
In USA how much can I charge for this necklace as an order??
Try to check prices on Etsy. Prices range from 30 to 100 USD, depending on the difficulty of the necklace.

@@Danysska Hi,sorry my computer was playing up. I coulden't get it to type what I wanted to say. I was asking can you do a crochet rope without a clasp The kind that you can just pull over your head. I have problems doing the ends so that you can't see the join joining them together. Thanking you Patricia
@@raymondgimay4642 I will definitely do it :)
@@Danysska Thank you so very much. Patricia
@@Danysska Hi I can't seem to find the video with the instructions on making a rope without a clasp . not sure if you have a video yet? Thanking you Patricia
So did you string all the beads you would need for the whole necklace .. onto the thread before you start?
Hi, you can either string all the beads before you start crocheting, or you can string them one at a time. It depends on how big of a project you're doing, how many beads there are. If it's a large project with a lot of beads, stringing all the beads at once would be difficult and not easy to work with. I recommend you watch my video here, where I show how you can string beads in sections. ruclips.net/video/ijZyq71TS5o/видео.html
