We got the SSD part but haven't been brave enough to solder yet... We hope to get there one day. Our main issue was that we got failing hardware and it made this softmod a challenge. Thanks for dropping in !
Was this your first time doing one of these? You no longer need to do any of this to softmod. You don't even need a game disc anymore. You just use the discless endgame exploit. All it requires is a flash drive and the Xbox to USB cord. No working disc drive required.
This is awesome! We will have to look into it for sure. This was actually the 2nd time doing it but I think we got a bad Xbox this time around and it gave us fits lol.
You guys needed to take more pictures before you take things apart. I noticed you had the 40 pin ribbon cable backwards. Its a Microsoft thing. No wonder you struggled with getting it back in.
Yeah we considered this one of our cursed projects. We started it, life happened and it was 6 months getting finished lol. in our go forward projects we started taking pictures prior.
Looks dope :) kinda nice to see this "old" stuff again :) Havent been an xbox user that much myself but still, nice :D
Keep up the great work guys.
Thanks for watching! Yes it is fun to tinker with these older consoles.
The guy to the right, he's just so cute
Xbox Barney The Dinosaur Edition 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Crap their on to us!!!!!!
A softmod ain't gonna break you
Now $35 for a modchip and $50 solder along with a $50+ 2TB HDD or SSD would be broken
