    This channel has become my favorite. A really entertaining version of the story and one that I have not heard before. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful radio dramas.

    What a marvellous radio version of this story..I love M R James and
    any adaptations are a welcome treat.Thank you for such amazing work in bringing these gems back into the light...or better still the dark....

      Glad you enjoyed it. The same team (writers Michael & Molly Hardwicke and producer Charles LeFeaux) produced several other spooky plays, including M.R. James's Martin's Close and Oh Whistle and I'll Come to You, which are both on the channel already. 'Whistle' is fascinating because it stars Michael Hordern, a few years before he gave a totally different performance as the same character in Jonathan Miller's TV version of the story...
