      I respect you people for keeping pigs in Uganda where feeds are so expensive

    • @ValueFarmUG
      @ValueFarmUG  2 года назад

      @@namaataleticia5628 You're right the feeds are expensive but the only solution is we're planting our own feeds like maize and soya

    Hey thanks for investing in Uganda. Research the UAE market. There's a huge demand there for highly priced goats. All the best.

    Could you show us a brief example of what your records look like? Are they digital, filing cabinet or journal? Do you have like a biographical template for each animal? I live in Alabama, US and some how came across y’all, really enjoying the content y’all are producing.

    Line breeding is mainly done to maintain a breed in a farm. It is different from inbreeding

    Thanks for the good work value farm. Inbreeding is totally not good at all because the kids born under inbreeding they are always weak and they don't attain weight quickly

    Line breeding can accomplish several goals: 1) produce a more consistent and uniform offspring; 2) identify breeding populations that have no genetic flaws, or identify existing flaws so they can be eliminated; 3) accentuate and sustain more consistent excellence; 4) develop linebred progeny

    Please is the expected or realistic weight of a pig after 6 months. Also, what is the Feed Conversion Rate that a pig should have

    • @ValueFarmUG
      @ValueFarmUG  2 года назад

      The realistic weight at 6 months should be atleast more than 60kgs
      For expecting sows we give 1 and half kgs in the morning and 1 and half in the evening.

    I bought a savanna goat but it is sexually not active. How can it be solved?

    • @bahati41
      @bahati41 2 года назад

      Give the male goat good care (food, minerals....).
      But don't wait too long.
      If the goat don't get active, sale it!
