Of course they would ban personal Starlinks because they can make money off of you. It is just another reason why I don't choose Carnival. I have not had an issue with Royal or NCL when it comes to the Cruise On multi-plug however, I do travel with two of the Anker Power Banks. That gives me the ability to charge 4 devices without any outlets (especially on the older ships). Then I only need one outlet to recharge the charging banks.
I agree with you about unplugging the device and direct plug the flat iron. We know not to daisy chain electrical cords/devices, it can overload the plug. If it ever gets warms, it has too much stress on the wall plug. This is where the fire hazard is, surge protection or not.
The power strips are a problem, they’re cheap and potential fire hazards. I use a USB ac plugin. Not sure if RCCL will ban it. I’ll find out in October.
Just IMO. Royal has has the Icon I believe loose power twice in like 2 months at sea. I'm thinking because there are possibly alot more cruisers taking these outlets its a draw on their power causing the power outages.
A more valid test of the internet speed comparison is to test speeds on identical devices at the same time. Satellite positions are constantly changing, as is the ships position.
I'm pissed about the wall adapters. We bought 2, expressly for an upcoming cruise. POWSAV model NBW-119 3 USB and 3 AC outlets. These were fine when we contacted them originally so we bought them. Too late to return and refund.
I'll be on Ovation next month with the (pricey) Internet package. 20 up and 20 down sounds good to me, if I can get it! It was also nice to see all the ports on that ship. BTW, it leaves from Honolulu, so I don't think this strike is going to affect us.
This is why people shouldn’t take videos. Just keep it a secret. I have a secret fishing spot, and it’s never busy. Sometimes, It’s better to remain silent and smile.
I think it’s extremely greedy and should be illegal to charge people these outrageous prices for internet. I think people should boycott buying it! Same as how tipping has gotten out of hand. If you’re not sitting down to be served don’t tip.
Shame on carnival for deceiving its loyal customers and supporters! Carnival Cruise Lines knew exactly what they are doing by banning certain items, you have better service with your personal items then you could ever have using their service! Big corporations like carnival or any of the others could care less about what you think about how they do business, it’s all about the money and you’re sadly mistaken if you believe they give a crap about you!!! I’m not saying the crew’s don’t care about you because they do I believe. Just the corporation!!!
@@theTimHernandez I was thinking that with so much communication might, though doubt it, interfere with other ship’s communication and navigation, could you Magine everyone bringing a star-link device , no way will the cruise line let that happen
Automate and push the overpaid port thugs to the unemployed rolls. Forget China imports and manufacture in the United States. Let's allow the unions to think about this concept.
Ah, just get rid of it. For years you couldn't use your cell phone on planes either. Amazing, but people have lived on this planet for eons without bitching about internet.

I just would not be Showing it off and keep it Hidden ...
I would just keep it undercover .. aka HIDDEN ...
Completely agree!!
Let cruisers bring their own starlink.

I think the WiFi package and pricing is a complete ripoff
Cruise WiFi is problematic. You have to provide a service to thousands. I found that RCCL’s WiFi adequate. The other cruise lines should take notice.

I’m sure cruise lines will roll out multi plug’s for a daily fee plus gratuities. Cruise lines are the new Disney.
We need to have those adapters as some of us stay in a foreign country several days before and after a cruise.
Got to hit them in the pocket book. How about all you Influencers put together a Cruising Bill of Rights.

The multiple plugs issue is really going to take time to have the cruise catch and hold them away from guest
Do we really know what the infrastructure of the cruise ship to handle such speeds with so many passengers using the service

I have never, and will never, buy an Internet package on a cruise! Complete rip off of the customer.
Can't have a video without a scare tatactic

I think Carnival should ban starlink , Carnival cannot let the chance of interference when many multiple people using starlunk
doesn't work like you are suggesting.
