    We own a Coachmen Beyond RB model. It’s built on Ford Transit. Flawless operation since we purchased in January 2022. Quality is top notch. Coachmen also makes Galleria on Mercedes sprinter. Nova, Beyond and Galleria all have the same quality build. Cannot go wrong with any one of them.

    When we were researching class B;s we kept coming back to Coachmen. Then we compared the Nova (Ram) to the Beyond (Transit). We did not want a diesel Galleria (Mercedes) and based on the ride, cab, power we went with the Beyond but the build quality is equal among all of coachmen’s class B’s. You won’t be disappointed if you trade up from your current van. we love our 2023 Beyond 22D Li3 AWD model.

    I bought a 2018 Coachman RV in 2019 and I heard all the nightmare stories about problems people have on the road with their RVs. I drove and worked remote for a year and a half in the RV full time... driving from Maryland to California and then to Vegas. Drove back and forth up and down the mountains between Vegas and Palm Springs area about four times. Still not one problem. I only sold her because I got sick and had to take on the medical bills. Now, i'm getting ready to buy a van to travel cross country and work remote again and I will buy a Coachman Van!!!

    Love our 2022 Nova 20 RB! Bought it new/used only 1700 miles never camped in $105k in 2022. So far did Route 66, Yellowstone/Tetons and Texas Big Bend and starting this July Alaska for 3-4 months. Next early summer Nova Scotia/New Foundland. The build is amazing and love the Promaster, it just keeps going. True work horse.

    We have a 2021 Coachmen Nova 20RB with a generator and 2 interior lithium batteries. We love it. It isn't perfect though. We had several repairs under warranty, but we are all good now. The white cabinets, rear bath, and storage behind the bathroom are awesome. It also has a 27 gal fresh water tank to the Travato's 18 gal. So many things to like. We have 20K miles on ours now.

    • @amiralions2681

      This sounds like a great combo, the generator, plus lithium plus, a large freshwater tank.

    • @Yellowstonetim
      @Yellowstonetim 9 месяцев назад

      @amiralions2681 We were lucky in a strange way: Our Nova came with sealed AGM batteries under the driver side bed. They were not vented to the exterior. This was an error that resulted in a recall, and Coachmen replaced the AGM with 2 Battleborn lithium batteries. That is how I got lithium and a generator. I have 200 amps. Some easily squeeze in a 3rd or even a 4th for up to 400 amps! I'm going to add the 3rd, which will be enough. Now, I'm not sure what space there is, but AGMs and lithium both get placed under the van with heating, I think.

      T 'm looking at the transit vans and it's good to know about the Nova, Is it hard to park it in a regular parking space.? I drive a 18-footer which I love and wonder if I really want to go longer.Where are the house batteries located?

    • @Yellowstonetim
      @Yellowstonetim 8 месяцев назад

      @nancyyeeting2176 That is why we love the Nova on a Promaster. At 20'11", we can park in a regular spot. The Ford is 22'4" and not easy to park in a regular spot. The Ford has 4WD, higher horsepower, and more tech. But the longer nose and less width make cubic footage of usable space almost the same!

    YAY!!! We own the Coachmen Beyond RB...same layout but on the Ford Transit chassis. Welcome to the Coachmen family....maybe....I hope! If and when you decide to buy one, reach out to Sunshine State RV in Gainesville, FL. I know that's far away from you guys but they will fly you out or deliver it to you for free. I know it's far to go for service but they will hook you up with a dealership they partner with closer to you. I agree the Coachmen Class B's are far superior in craftsmanship than any others out there and Nick Recchio the Production Manager of the Class B's for Coachmen is awesome from a customer service perspective....he truly cares about his vans and the people that own them.

They have an RV hookup area and they are super friendly and helpful. Forget dealers when it comes to repairs. They are only there to sell you vans.

    We absolutely love our Nova 2023 20C with the Lithium Setup. The build quality and craftsmanship are 2nd to none in our opinion. We took a 5 state road trip recently and had no issues at all. The best part is the Coachmen Class B Customer Service. Nick (the GM) and his staff put the customer first. We had a small issue with our sofa. They either installed the wrong foam, or just didn't add enough foam to the sofa. I sent an email to Coachmen who got the manufacturer of the sofa installed - and boom - we are getting a brand new sofa installed under warranty. Took me about 3 or 4 emails back and forth to confirm which dealer would be doing the warranty work and that was it. We definitely recommend the Nova to anyone looking for a Class B RV.

    Have a look at the NEW and VERY DIFFERENT Coachmen Freelander Class C Motorhome. If you look in RUclips for that, you will find a video on it. It is 2 feet long and has a lot of what you want with a lot more. it is $94,999.00 on sale but regular price is $120,000 so less than the Class B of 139,000. Yeah, you have driveway parking issues, but I store mine in an RV storage place for $99 a month. And of course, for some reason they are less to license per year. (not sure why that is but... ) Anyway, have a look. ;)
    Oh, and there are Class C RVs that are under 24 feet and very nice so those you should be able to fit in your driveway...

      @@danman1287 Good Morning. First of all the disclaimers. Any RV you get, can and will have issues. If you have had one before you know. That being said, we have loved our Nova. The li3 is great peace of mind that you can go anywhere. It has quality cabinetry (not paper covered luan), most all of the components (Water heater, heat, stove, fridge, etc.) have worked as they should. Did have some issues updating the Firefly, but worked directly with them to get it fixed. We did have the side door screen break, but got it replaced under warranty. Admittedly it is a poor design and will probably break again and we will replace it with a "Bug Wall" or equivalent when out of warranty. A few other issues have been taken care of at a dealership and Coachmen/Forest River has covered all of it. They also reimbursed us for a mobile electrical repair we had while traveling. I am currently getting an awning recall taken care of before spring travels. I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other questions. Good luck.

    That coach is optioned with the 4 way seat from RAM. It'll only slide front to back and tilt forward and back. 3:54 Also, check if they added the swivel option. These RV manufacturers try to grab as many chassis that they can due to the supply chain issues so the options in the cab are often not consistent. Find one that's fully loaded. 😉

They are way better than the comparable Thors, and best most of the Winnebagos too for my money. Good introductory video. Once you comp all the Coachmen Nova details....hold onto yer wallet!

    I have a 2024 Nova 20D. Quality build. It has the double beds like you guys like but a large fridge that was a major selling point. If you are looking for the RB (Rear Bath) model they can be had for a pretty good deal. When I was looking one salesman told me they were hard to sell once people saw the D or C model. Drives like a dream compared to my Class A that I got rid of. Another selling point.... Black tank so you don't have to deal with a cassette toilet.

      This is why we went with the Beyond built on the Ford Transit....it's 2 feet longer than the Nova on the Ram. With that being said, we have a long driveway in the rear of our home so parking it is a non issue. If it were, the Ram, Nova would have sufficed.

      💯 the RB is too tight for taller people.
      The C and D are better but the Promaster chassis isn’t great for taller. Except if a Thor - Thor does something to give an extra inch or two.
      Roadtrek and Winnebago on the Promaster are the worst for taller drivers (at least that’s what have found).

      My husband is 6'2" and he fits fine, but it does take a bit of adjusting. In fact, you recline as far back and possible and then adjust the bottom of the seat FORWARD a bit toward the steering wheel. Sounds weird, but it works! Also, don't wear thick soled hiking boots while driving and you'd be surprised how much more room that affords you. @@Vancaskeys

      We also have a 2021 Coachman Nova and really love the quality. The one thing we don't like are the seats. They sit too high when in the city at stop N go lights, I have to raise the visor so I can see the lights and I am only 5'6". My hubby is taller at 6' and he's a bigger man so I do most of the driving as it very uncomfortable for him. The arm rests are too low your arms hang out in no man's land and after 2-3 hours of driving they get fatigued. We now wish we would have gotten the Beyond to have the Ford seats and we are really ford people. But price was the deciding factor at the time. You have been extremely patient with Mr. Lemon but if you can swing it, you deserve something better, just take your time and make the best choice for you. Enjoy watching you two, have a good one!@@Vancaskeys

Class B van (but a nice one :-) is the way I feel I we should go so I'm enjoying watching you! I think we'll rent for first 10 to 14 day trip. Was thinking east coast but now thinging OR Coast (since 2 kids there) and maybe ID too since Washington is closest to where we live in Southern Southeast Alaska. Looking at "Outdoorsey" & "RV Rental" for rentals. That's hard too when you really don't know exactly what you want. I do like thw rear twin beds in the Mercedes Travito 59K. Thanks for listening. Our 2022 Coachmen Beyond on the Ford Transit AWD with Li3 lithium is our 3rd Camper Van. We previously owned a 2016 Airstream Interstate that six months later we traded on a 2016 LTV Unity on a MB Sprinter. Coachmen is superb. I think the Ford is much better than the Dodge chassis (which is really a Fiat Ducato). The rear bath Beyond might be the ideal choice for you. Coachmen really stands behind its warranty.

    This 2023 Coachmen Nova would actually still be built on a 2022 Ram ProMaster chassis, as it has the newly restyled dashboard & steering wheel, but still having the previous style front end. It's kind of like when for the 2008 model year Ford E-Series started having the current style front end, but still having the previous style interior that would be restyled for the 2009 model year.

From the one piece fiberglass shower, Lithionics system, windows, cabinets, insulation, Firefly controls etc. Let me know if you have any questions about the differences. Also, if you're in the LA area, I will be selling my Nova if you'd be interested in saving over the crazy new prices at Mike Thompson (where I bought mine).

    Besides the great customer support from Coachmen "B" division, there is the community support with several Facebook groups and the annual rally in Goshen, Indiana. There were over 160 Coachmen owners with 40+ of those being B van owners. It is a great time to share ideas and mods for your van and also exchange travel stories. We always come away with great ideas for storage and mods for the van. Nic the GM at Coachmen has his repair people on site for the week we are there. I had Firefly system issue that my dealer could not figure out. Repair people at the rally took care of the problem very quickly and it was covered under warranty as well. I would hope the lemon laws in your state could be of help.
