Why does it make you feel happy to see hypocrisy? The Pastor only rented movies he believed in and advocated for others to do the same. Just because some people are hypocrites doesn't mean everyone is. And even if everyone was a hypocrite, it change what's right or wrong.

He’s not advocating others to do the same. That would be OK. If he would just recommend his followers not to rent certain movies everybody would be happy. He’s forcing his morals on others by essentially banning movies for everybody.

Years ago I used to live in Saint George Utah there was a little boarder town with three casinos that employed many people from Saint George and would even bus them to and from work. One day while doing a little gaming I noticed people from Saint George picketing a local adult book store, I couldn't help my self I just had to cross that line.

Christians. When my grandfather was alive and „lived in sin“ with my granny and their three children, they took his donations and smiled and loved him.
When he unexpectedly died of a stroke; they did not want to bury him in the church yard where he donated a lot of money. No friendly word for granny who had to take care of three little kids with a dead partner to bury. No support.
Granny has hardly ever stepped inside a church again since. Neither are my parents and I members or any church or parish.
This was 1971 in Germany. Back when the church had more power than they do now.

For being a man of god, I’m surprised Pastor Jeff hasn’t heard the phrase, “judge not lest ye be judged.”
Honestly, religion is one big contradiction. One is supposed to be compassionate and all-loving - hence, not judgemental. However, there's the other side of the coin that says the sinful would be judged. There's this contradiction of whether one should love another despite their mistakes or judge them and try to "shepherd" them - and that's not a mistake. Religion, from its inception by humans, had always been about control.
A true, all-loving, all-righteous God would not care if you watched porn. He gave you those base instincts for a reason - why would he hold it against you when you act upon them? Neither would he care about whether you ate pork or not. Really, only humans give a damn about what other humans do. It's just not divinely important for someone so powerful and significant to worry about trivial matters such as those.

i remember when i was in High School , my local video clerk knew i was not 18 but allow me to hire a copy of "Basic Instinct".
I remember girls in my class talking and laughing about watching "Basic Instinct" together at their home .
I guess it did kind of screw up my life , the film gave him some wrong idea and High expectation of S#X

My deal is that she used her holy spirit, but she didn't use her brain. Lady, did you seriously not do any background checks on the movie? Looked at the back of the box for info, watched any trailers, see what the film is rated. This is how super strict Christianity can be that it can be tiring sometimes. Like how they say Rock and Roll is the root to evil or jump to conclusions without using critical thinking

I don’t think I’ve ever stopped watching a show because of a dislike of so many sub characters. The “Pastor” being the main reason. The young Sheldon character is equally annoying.
