Growing up, I wasn't fully aware of how goofy my father was, because every time I loosened up, my father would have to reprimand me for some social flaw I had.
It's really telling Sheldon's entitlement. He's so used to getting his way, that he's shocked when his sister gets anything. That alone should have been a huge wake up call to the family, and resulted in Mary dedicating some one on one time with Missy, and Sheldon getting his way much less. The two are still young, and that would have made a huge difference in their lives.

The kid says poppycock to the doctor when he says there are different kinds of intelligence and Mary's only response is that her rude freak of a child is getting upset. She sets the table for him to be a prick as an adult when he should have been grounded for being disrespectful to an adult. George clearly has been neutered by his wife, but he also needs to come down on the kid. The writers have really done a good job showing how Mary enabled Sheldon and how that influenced his dismissive disrespectful attitude going forward.
@Christopher Bingham "The result was one son who won a Nobel Prize and another son who started a multi-million dollar tire business. Does that not prove that Missy was the problem, not anyone else in the family?" WOW. Low blow, dude. Low blow.
@@gheller2261 I don't want to hear your bullshit about how adults are worthy of respect just because they're an adult. If that's your takeaway from this situation, you have nothing of value to say, to anyone.
@Christopher Bingham Missy was literally talking about how there were teams within the family and she wasn't on one... she said she was on her own. You don't think that would have anything to do with her not becoming as successful as her brothers? Being left out could've been a reason for her to try hard to be successful, to get their attention... or to spite them, considering how in this clip she seemingly has accepted that her family values her brothers over her. However, feeling as though her family wasn't behind her like they were for her brothers, she most likely didn't have the same self-confidence as her brothers to even try to succeed.
@Christopher Bingham in what other way? she does fine at school, she's just not a super genius. yeah sure sheldon knows a ton about physics and science but he doesn't know how to survive on his own. he's the true broken light bulb
Mary didn't really realize anything. She just let Missy pick the restaurant this one time. Missy's deeper issues of feeling generally ignored and abandoned that were hinted at here continued to go largely unacknowledged by Mary. And when they WERE acknowledged, it tended to be when Missy WASN'T there to SEE them getting acknowledged.
Mary is a terrible terrible mother. She's constantly neglected everyone just for Sheldon. Also, she's the reason Sheldon is a spoilt brat. People can be on spectrum and not assholes because they're taught by their parents to be responsible for their own issues. Sheldon however, his mom catered to only him.
This is by far my favorite episode. The moment she meets the female doctor, we see the exceptional emotional intelligence that Missy has. She literally changed the doctor's life for the better. Meanwhile I just want to wring Sheldon's neck with his "I thought the purpose of this was to find out how smart I am." As if he doesn’t already know. Just once I want some adult to put him in his place and tell him that being the smartest is not even close to the most important thing in life. Oh, and show some damn respect for the adult who is sitting in front of you.
@@espada06143 Trust me, it was. I've seen this guy all over RUclips and he has a bad habit of putting Sheldon in leather pants while turning Missy into a Death Eater.
Honestly, I don’t think Sheldon will really appreciate the value of emotional intelligence until he’s an adult and finds his friend group. Since we see him at the start still be highly dismissive at the importance, he may have moments here and there as a child like recognizing how important missy’s support was when making his graduation speech, but I think with all the coddling and how fast he’s excelling, this is probably the most short sighted period in his life. His intelligence is unmatched even by some adults, so his ego is at its highest.
One instance- and she doesn't really uphold that standard too well across the series. Mary goes out of her way for Sheldon, much to the neglect of Georgie and Missy-- benign neglect is still neglect.
The dad's reaction to going to Red Lobster is spot on for a working class family when a kid picks it for a birthday dinner....they know it's "expensive" but they do it anyway for their kid...I've been the "Red Lobster" kid before and seen the same reaction from my dad and then "are you sure you don't want to go somewhere else? Somewhere cheaper?"
Haha, right?? I still get a little defensive when people trash the Olive or Red Lobster. My parents worked hard to provide for us. Some places were for special occasions and we appreciated it. Makes me roll my eyes when people act like something is SO beneath them.
@@annagarcia1527yeah. Chuck’E’Cheese was more common a place to go for pizza, and of course for games, but Pizza Hut was special. The atmosphere, the dim lighting, the salad bar and open fireplace, the stained glass, everything spoke of quiet elegance, at least to a kid. It wasn’t a place to run around and be loud in, but the food was super-high quality, and we didn’t go often, and so it became “a byword among the nations.”
How ironic, eh? Two "normal" parents with a pair of genius kids. Makes you think that if they didn't spoil Sheldon and give Missy some more attention Sheldon might be slightly more emotionally intelligent
"...Sheldon might be slightly more emotionally intelligent." Maybe, maybe not. There are times, both in this show and Big Bang Theory, where Sheldon chooses not to learn or refuses to admit what he to admit what he actually did wrong, depending on your point of view

@Christopher Bingham The kind of primate they are is completely irrelevant to the question. This was to measure emotional intelligence. Of which, Sheldon has none and Missy has plenty. She is plenty smart; it just isn't the same intelligence as Sheldon. And that's fine. Sheldon's good with academics; Missy's good with people.
@Christopher Bingham Well you have to remember that there ARE different kinds of smart. Intellectually intelligent is what Sheldon is, and Emotionally intelligent is what Missy his.
@Christopher Bingham No it’s still very apparent that Missy feels like and afterthought to her mother, hence their outburst at the end of season 4. About the disrespect when she does get attention it’s probably because she’s not used to it, when looking deeper at Missy’s character as a whole you notice with new things she’s more likely to be rude and conceited.

Mary spending most of the day being angry that for once, someone acknowledges Missy ("but poor Shelly is upset to not be on his pedestals booohooohooo") than pretends that she cares about Missy for a minute. Classic Mary.
Missy knew she was being watched. Talking about her place in the family dynamics was intended to let her parents know how she felt without appearing as an immature complainer. A wise genius move. In many ways, Sheldon is shallow and the family idiot and a very poor student of human relations and humility.
Exactly! She knew that she was being recorded and probably being watched. She finally got to say what she was holding back without the awkwardness of confronting Mary and George.
I only get to watch this show via clips, and this is the first time I've seen the ending. That was nice of Mary to do this for her, make Missy feel like she's seen, and show Sheldon he's not the only one.
I cried when Missy said that, Missy's character is the reason why I couldn't handle 'Young Sheldon'. I relate to her too much that I see myself in her shoes and the part where Mary lets her choose the restaurant also breaks me. Cause we all know that will only last for one day or less 'till they forget about your feelings once again.
I can relate to this so much , especially being from an Asian family , where only one kind of intelligence is valued and kids who are better in school are discreetly or sometimes even very prominently favored over other.
@Christopher Bingham I think you relate to Sheldon and so feel the need to go overboard on protecting him. Sheldon is not a perfect character and neither is Missy. They are children. That doesn't mean there isn't truth to Missy feeling neglected.
It says a lot about Mary’s priorities when she’s more concerned about Sheldon being outside his comfort zone than the proof of low-functioning sociopathy.
I feel Missy is ignored a lot. Mary is only focused on Sheldon I think she is the worst parent of the two. She shuts George out of taking a more involved parent, I think he is a great parent. Mary is the one who only cares about Sheldon In an episode of Big Bang she is so critical of Georgie and he steps up and supported the family when George died, no thanks from her. She really needs to take more of blame for things.
Even as an adult Georgie doesn't get any credit. In one TBBT theory Mary says something like at least the two back in Texas are dumb as rocks to offset Sheldon's genius. She completely ignore Georgie's business intelligence and the fact that he kept the family going when George died.
Why do the closed captions overlook the fact that Dr. Thorpe is whispering "Thank you" to Missy? The girl gave the two doctors a relationship with one another they were both seeking.
@@richardlug6139 Okay, but in the next line the CC correctly states that she whispered "Yeah." This is one of those times I'm glad I'm not deaf, because I can easily detect CC errors and omissions.

To be honest, if this was the real world everyone would have Missy as the center of the spotlight and have Sheldon in backstage. Because no one likes a stubborn know-it-all-all who thinks he is special. Also I feel like Sheldon is only book-smart because his Mary spends 24/7 on Sheldon probably improving his fantastic "knowledge" Meanwhile Missy is like George, Georgie, and Connie who are all caring(even though they don't show it), sassy, clever, and funny.
nah bro it is the real world, Sheldon with his intelligence and work ethnic wins the Nobel prize with his wife, and however weird he is, he even marries a woman who loves him a lot. Missy on the other hand with her emotional intelligence, drops out of school, stays a waitress for life and has 2 divorces and 4 kids. I think that is real life consequences tbh.
The scene is both funny...and depressing. It highlights that while Sheldon is a genius with things like math, science and the like he's rock stupid when it comes to basic human interaction and concepts. Missy by contrast is rock stupid when it comes to math and science but is a genius with human interaction. Naturally one would assume they'd both become successful in some capacity, but while Sheldon becomes a Noble Prize winning Scientist, Missy is a divorced mother of two with no career prospects.
@Christopher Bingham that hostess is Sheldonz point of you. What if she is like the head of that? Sheldon look down on everybody. So it isn't a surprise that if Sheldon dumb down his sister too
@Christopher Bingham He treats everyone he sees as stupid, like they are beneath him. The show has said this, even Sheldon has said it, how is it that you are not getting it
I mean, she could said it nicely to him. "You picked last time Sheldon". Frikking parents, once they realize their mistake that they were neglecting one kid, they turn completely 180 and start neglecting the other, like it was their fault.
He has Asperger syndrome a form of autism. It severally limits emotional growth and understanding of emotions. The good news is the older you get you eventually realise that people are having emotional reactions and you can use reference material to understand others better and in time you will be perceived as eccentric rather than "crazy". Asperger syndrome is like everything, on a scale. He is somewhere in the middle. Borderline generally manages with age to mimic appropriate emotions, sever can't even do that. Emotion is not logical, so even understanding why you should play along is a hard concept to grasp. Sheldon is in the middle, his parents in this series failed him, not entirely their fault. They just didn't understand what his issues were and as a result as an adult he thinks he is better than everyone else. PS: My comment is hardly concise, it's just a quick explanation.
@@kills26 it might have something to do with vaccines. Like anything they don't want to even admit it's a possiblity. There's too many kids being changed somehow in their normal growth cycle.
@@Chris-bs4qy No! You can have that opinion if you want but it doesn't scientifically track. A friend of mine has an older brother with Asperger's. Their parents are anti vax and for years decades actually. They blamed vaccines for their son's condition. Long story short, turns out they didn't vaccine their children at all. They told their kids they were vaxed, told their community and anyone who would listen they were vaxed and that was the cause. But in reality, no, they lied. I think a lot of well-intentioned people are misinformed by bias confirmation. A lot of other people are trying to scam and sell natural cr*p that doesn't do anything. So, a holistic combination, maybe, but I don't believe that, but I've got to accept it's possible. But until we know for sure, blaming vaccines is dangerous, because we know infant mortality rockets in the unvaccinated. We also know heard immunity is a thing, so, the poorly educated do gooders exploit the majority whilst endangering us all. Then claim ha look my child didn't die. Lastly and I'm sorry didn't mean to write a book. To return to my original point, it could well be perfectly natural, and we are only noticing more cases of it today owing to the increase in population. Also, the fact that we don't simply lock people away anymore, so we actually come in to contact with more groups than we previously did. **** My first paragraph vanished. Basically, more people, on the planet more visibility, age of media. TLDR: Don't blame ya, have a good one :)
Because his mother spoiled him rotten! She almost never disciplines him and enables his behaviour, she favours him and treats him like a prince while she treats her other children like peasants. That’s why I despise both of them. Plus Mary is selfish and arrogant. She thinks that because she’s Christian she’s always right. Plus she treats her husband like crap.
The casting is absolute perfection! Every actor does such a tremendous job, I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I saw an old episode of The Big Bang Theory where the actor who plays the dad George on Young Sheldon is one of Leonard's bully from school. I'm late to the party for both shows, but truly enjoying them now. 😊
In retrospect, I can see how important this part of the story was for showing why Mary didn't want to tell anyone about the colleges that tried to reach out to them about Sheldon later. She didn't like how George reacted here, nor what it brought out in Sheldon. (Note that this is not me saying that I think that Mary was right or fair in either situation, but just that I appreciate the writing.)
The reason Mary didn't tell George about the colleges reaching out is because she wanted Sheldon to stay home with her. Mary is extremely selfish as a mother, wife and daughter.
Not entirely true. Mary did make Sheldon go to one of Missy's games and sat there praying for her and cheering her on. She also went to a lot of trouble making Missy a special girl trophy when she couldn't find one. Her mistake was not knowing her daughter well enough to know that Missy wouldn't want a special trophy and just wanted to be one of the guys. I think Mary loves Missy, she just doesn't spend enough time with her to really know her.
@@kathystutzman9570 Lol. She refused to pay $50 for a special trophy for Missy even though she bought a computer for Sheldon. Mary may love Missy, but she doesn't value her as much as Sheldon. And that's another problem, she shows favoritism. George clearly favors Missy, but at least he doesn't show it.
Its great seeing this after the big bang theory, where Sheldon does start to learn some emotional intelligence. Its fun to see how much he's grown, especially when he apologises to Georgie for leaving him to handle the family's problems alone.
This was very relatable. It's not that your parents love you less so to speak, it's just you're not special in either of their eyes, that spot is taken by another sibling and it feels both lonesome and hurtful.
What’s funny is Mary was complaining about Sheldon thinking he is so smart and being full of himself. Yet, she is always the one who holds him above her other children. Ironic
First deally sensible and balanced remark I have heard Mary make without the eternal fawnung in her baby sheldon. I'm afraid that I think that Missy is worth 2 of sheldon or even more. High time as Mary's pointed out, that it's NOT all about sheldon in the house. Bravo Mary way to go.

That alone should have been a huge wake up call to the family, and resulted in Mary dedicating some one on one time with Missy, and Sheldon getting his way much less. The two are still young, and that would have made a huge difference in their lives.
@@millersam07 Exactly! Sheldon is treated as if he's the only one in the family and the adults, especially Mary and meema are encouraging his inflated ego!
I understand this is a tv show however the situation is common in many families.

hence the shows name, YOUNG SHELDON, it is all about Sheldon because it's his show.
Secondly, Sheldon is a special needs kid, even though they don't admit it the show he shows every symptom of high functioning asd in the book, when a mother has a child like that, she does end up worrying and thinking more about that child than the others, not saying it's the right thing to do though
@Christopher Bingham good luck to your kids for having u as a parent , u arent any less shittier than mary herself, so what u r implying is that since sheldon is smart he should get praised 90% of the time, no matter how annoying and demanding he is and missy way lesser? pfft
@Christopher Bingham this is how you make spoiled kids or golden child.
Mary hears Missy’s words about being lonely and thinks one trip to Red Lobster makes up for it. Yet, later on, it’s George and Connie who truly let the meaning of Missy’s words sink in.
@@BringerOfDeath12 Exactly! The Season 4 finale is exactly a good reason to say that Mary is probably nothing but shit towards Missy!
@@BringerOfDeath12 yeah because Sheldon is different ...
Okay say you have a child who is not autistic and a child who is autistic .... You will obviously give more attention to the autistic child cause that child needs it more !!!
And Sheldon is autistic as the writers said but even if he is not autistic he is highly gifted and gifted people like him need alot more help in life ..
U can't just blame Mary for trying to do her Best ..... Ofcourse she has made her mistakes but gosh which mother or father hasn't ....
And even Sheldon is not at fault he never even realised what he is doing might be mean or hurtful because his IQ is not receptive to social or emotional ques which is what happens in reality with gifted people ... And big bang theory literally explained that through out the series and especially the last episode ....
@@hope-sf7cs so? missy and Georgie are also highly gifted In other parts of life. Sheldon got his way a lot more than what his brother and sister got. He got to do much more. And it made Georgia and missy both upset heavily a lot. Espically when sheldon won the football game with stats. He was praised and his parents were proud. Georgia did not like it because his dad that spends more time with him. Is now spending more time with sheldon over winning a game. Or when missy was clearly upset about something but when mary saw that sheldon's poster got ripped up, she did not even ask missy what she felt and why she was crying. She just told her to apologize to her brother. Things like these happened plenty of times. One should not be treated different based on their studies. They should be loved and watched over and taken care of equally. No wonder why sheldon still looks at his brother the wrong way as an adult. Sheldon can not handle things other people do

@@christopherbingham5092 In the episode, when he let her drive the truck, he was trying to make her feel good because Sheldon gets always wanted to know what he wanted. He's not perfect, and that was irresponsible, but he tried
What about the dad?? Everyone is ALWAYS only hating on Mary and in general it’s only the mother who gets the blame like the kids aren’t the fathers buisness just as much!
At least her mom comes up with something whereas the dad doesn’t even care and felt appalled and the need to include her more.. He’s not a daim better - They always favor Sheldon & thought that one dinner was making up for all the neglect..
The dads never get held accountable😒 they are BOTH her parents and responsible for making her feel loved & valued NOT just Mary!
George & Missy always come 2nd bc they aren’t gifted like precious Sheldon.. they are BOTH shitty parents not treating their kids equally
It really should be more concerning to the parents that Sheldon doesn't recognize human emotions in others in this experiment.
@Christopher Bingham I will just say that is to your own understanding.
Missy is the brightest bulb in the box. A great character.
@Christopher Bingham The only broken light bulb here is you.
@Christopher Bingham in what other way? she does fine at school, she's just not a super genius. yeah sure sheldon knows a ton about physics and science but he doesn't know how to survive on his own. he's the true broken light bulb

@@Mark-co1qw no its u and your family that has nothing only a homeless shelter
Mary didn't really realize anything. She just let Missy pick the restaurant this one time. Missy's deeper issues of feeling generally ignored and abandoned that were hinted at here continued to go largely unacknowledged by Mary. And when they WERE acknowledged, it tended to be when Missy WASN'T there to SEE them getting acknowledged.
Every child requires a different amount of attention, fairness isn't equality
@Christopher Bingham that last sentence was very odd.
@Christopher Bingham Oh, that sure is a lot, huh? /S Also, your last sentence makes no sense.
@Christopher Bingham wow you really shouldn’t have kids
Having a daughter like missy is a blessing I am so sorry for her
Oh really 😑

Missy seemed like a pain in the ass like the other two kids tbh
Sameeeeee shes my fav character
This is by far my favorite episode. The moment she meets the female doctor, we see the exceptional emotional intelligence that Missy has. She literally changed the doctor's life for the better. Meanwhile I just want to wring Sheldon's neck with his "I thought the purpose of this was to find out how smart I am." As if he doesn’t already know. Just once I want some adult to put him in his place and tell him that being the smartest is not even close to the most important thing in life. Oh, and show some damn respect for the adult who is sitting in front of you.
@Christopher Bingham Are you this exhausting to people who are actually in your life?
@@gheller2261 Ouch but probably well deserved
@@firegirl2202 and then when he's an adult his emotional intelligence is at best, irregular. Best example being the nobel prize.

I loved my birthday dinners if my choice as a kid. Pizza Hut was fancy place for me. 80skid/90steen here.
Because she's insightful. 😉
Anyone would know they were being complimented by the doctor’s tone
Her twin brother wouldn't get it,
and that's in spite of the fact he'd know the word
Missy was a genius also, just a different kind that no one realized.
Interesting to look back at these older seasons when Sheldon was younger and more innocent the plot reflects the fading away of childhood innocence and blends in more serious issues in the newer seasons.

The actress who plays Missy is SO good, even at that young age. Love the casting all around in YS. I was struck by how they found such similar actresses they found for Mary as her older self in Big Bang & younger version in YS. Turns out they're real life mother & daughter!
I think Meemaw is equally on Sheldon's and Missy's team, she's pretty fair

All the actors are so great in their characters. It's not just about Sheldon with everyone else being his satellites. Missy is so shrewd in her own way.
I love how Sheldon’s offended that there’s other forms of intelligence
It's because he's a narcissist and doesn't want to admit that anyone can be smarter than him in other ways.
Yeah he's spoiled rotten
I simply cant handle Shelly .. Academically blessed is one thing ; failing to change that mouthing off by a child is a turnoff
I started watching this show for Sheldon, but fell in love with Missy.
It's true, having high intelligence, Sheldon forgot how to be humourous and emotional.
The two Georges have also got some fans.
@@user-indrajitbhattacharya Obviously they have.
Everybody has fans because everybody acted in this show are talented and really blend with the character.
If I got the opportunity to adopt one I'll pick Missy. Though the other one is capable of wining a Nobel prize. Life is more than that. See how she changed the doctor's life
Her or Georgie. Literally anyone BUT Sheldon. He's such a pain in the ass and he's only cute and funny when you're not the one having to deal with him. 🙄
@@kiphuginn4428 yeah
Mary spending most of the day being angry that for once, someone acknowledges Missy ("but poor Shelly is upset to not be on his pedestals booohooohooo") than pretends that she cares about Missy for a minute. Classic Mary.
Missy is better off with meemaw & George, marry is a dud
Missy knew she was being watched. Talking about her place in the family dynamics was intended to let her parents know how she felt without appearing as an immature complainer. A wise genius move. In many ways, Sheldon is shallow and the family idiot and a very poor student of human relations and humility.
Exactly! She knew that she was being recorded and probably being watched. She finally got to say what she was holding back without the awkwardness of confronting Mary and George.
I would do tjis loll
Y'all are too pressed because of the smart child, poor you kids

@@Level1gyatt2789 he just was raised without being punished much
I only get to watch this show via clips, and this is the first time I've seen the ending. That was nice of Mary to do this for her, make Missy feel like she's seen, and show Sheldon he's not the only one.
The first five seasons of the show are available on HBO Max.
Yeah but after this Mary goes back to Sheldon
I cried when Missy said that, Missy's character is the reason why I couldn't handle 'Young Sheldon'. I relate to her too much that I see myself in her shoes and the part where Mary lets her choose the restaurant also breaks me. Cause we all know that will only last for one day or less 'till they forget about your feelings once again.
I can relate to this so much , especially being from an Asian family , where only one kind of intelligence is valued and kids who are better in school are discreetly or sometimes even very prominently favored over other.
The little girl breaks my heart!! Her parents all fuss over him..mart reliezes but goes bavk to her own ways!
@Christopher Bingham seriously, you need to rest.
@@mreazy7359 haha way to involved!!l mary is ruined by the writters..so as show...sheldon needs a good smack.!!
@@BethB-ep4fs Violence is not the answer. Mary needs to read the book "Needy Baby Greedy Baby" by Beverly Hofstadter PhD.
@Christopher Bingham I think you relate to Sheldon and so feel the need to go overboard on protecting him. Sheldon is not a perfect character and neither is Missy. They are children. That doesn't mean there isn't truth to Missy feeling neglected.
@Christopher Bingham don't mind me reporting your comments everywhere for spam...it's kind of annoying to be honest...
She knew Missy felt left out and thought taking her to eat at her favorite restaurant is the key, but later on acts as if nothing happened
This is one of the episodes of Young Sheldon that best explains adult Sheldon.
It was quite frustrating how this episode stood alone and revelations discovered from the study were never carried forward.
Mary is the one who only cares about Sheldon
In an episode of Big Bang she is so critical of Georgie and he steps up and supported the family when George died, no thanks from her. She really needs to take more of blame for things.
Couldn't agree more.
Even as an adult Georgie doesn't get any credit. In one TBBT theory Mary says something like at least the two back in Texas are dumb as rocks to offset Sheldon's genius. She completely ignore Georgie's business intelligence and the fact that he kept the family going when George died.
I really wanted to hear what Missy had to say about the Lion picture! I love her!
She would have said he was bored and that he looked silly
Why do the closed captions overlook the fact that Dr. Thorpe is whispering "Thank you" to Missy? The girl gave the two doctors a relationship with one another they were both seeking.
Because CC is ment mainly for people that can’t or have a hard time hearing so this way these type of people know that it was not said out loud.
@@richardlug6139 Okay, but in the next line the CC correctly states that she whispered "Yeah." This is one of those times I'm glad I'm not deaf, because I can easily detect CC errors and omissions.

3:10 Demonstrating that Sheldon failed to grasp the whole point of the experiment.
Indeed, Sheldon is book smart, but struggles with people skills, while Missy is the opposite.
For Sheldon's response: "I don't understand the question."
Sheldon is not a human
This is where Missy won over so many hearts.
4:42 I love that look Sheldon gives his mom!😂😂

Idk why im crying ...i can feel u missy ...no one care about us until they know how we feel
I'm with you on this.
Well when that kid does your taxes and everything else I don’t think so
nah bro it is the real world, Sheldon with his intelligence and work ethnic wins the Nobel prize with his wife, and however weird he is, he even marries a woman who loves him a lot. Missy on the other hand with her emotional intelligence, drops out of school, stays a waitress for life and has 2 divorces and 4 kids. I think that is real life consequences tbh.
sheldon's response when told it's not just about him...
In this episode, they realized Missy was feeling Left out it . They'll forget all about it in the next one. Poor Missy. 😢
Which means she is a proud single mother of two who didn't take shit from her husband and yes her childhood may have affected her life 🥺
Missy is a hostess at Fudruckers-food service IS a career!
@Christopher Bingham It's the price she pays for being "dumb as soup" I guess!
The show has said this, even Sheldon has said it, how is it that you are not getting it
Great show. I like the episode when Missy and her dad went to dinner. That was very sweet.
I mean, she could said it nicely to him. "You picked last time Sheldon". Frikking parents, once they realize their mistake that they were neglecting one kid, they turn completely 180 and start neglecting the other, like it was their fault.
Why isn't Sheldon more empathic? That's how a lot to of smarter people are, they can't be that compassionate
He’s a psycho
And still more just want an answer, they just want an answer and a cause.
Truth is there is no evidence to suggest it's vaccines. It's not a new thing just better understood and documented.
But in truth it could be more prevalent today for many reasons, diet, environment, pollution and not to contradict myself but vaccines could also play a part.
"It's not just about YOU in this house."

The fact that he looks offended is only more proof that he is spoiled because he is used to getting his way.

This is Texas , everything’s a contest. Perfect description of TEXAS
Why is no one talking about the feeling-attacked reaction of Sheldon. 😂 4:33
Sadly, this is the only time that Mary is attentive to Missy and isn't all about Sheldon.
I love it when sheldon's ego get's put in check
To no effect tho, denial works its magic
Young missy is too cute and adorable 🥰😻
Its great seeing this after the big bang theory, where Sheldon does start to learn some emotional intelligence. Its fun to see how much he's grown, especially when he apologises to Georgie for leaving him to handle the family's problems alone.
The only time Mary is actually a good mother and treats Missy as an equal
Even after this they didn't change and sheldon was center of everything.
George did.
I just love missys character ❤️ beautiful, smart, young actress with such a sassy yet funny lovable role - I’m watching this show because of her ❤
This was very relatable.
Ironic
Lmao Sheldon’s face when she said "it’s not just about you in this house"😭😭🤚🏽🤣
Even tho Mary saw Missy's feelings this time, she goes back to leaving her out
I relate with Sheldon in some ways and luckily I don’t in others. I’m glad he got knocked down a few pegs
Missy is the true genius.
I wish I had a sister like missy
She is smart in her own way. Her eq is miles higher then sheldons
Missy always got the best lines.
I can’t every time Mary goes “LAWRD”
First deally sensible and balanced remark I have heard Mary make without the eternal fawnung in her baby sheldon. I'm afraid that I think that Missy is worth 2 of sheldon or even more. High time as Mary's pointed out, that it's NOT all about sheldon in the house. Bravo Mary way to go.
Missy knew there was a camera all along and manipulated the situation as best she could. Worked like a charm.
My favorite episode was when that one professor of his kept making him do that project over and over again and when he finally figured out the correct way of doing it he got to class late and the professor wouldn't let him in. That certainly burst his entitled bubble.
