Honestly, I think he’s more on the dumb side… in one episode he doesn’t understand human emotions. He just won’t get super far in life if he doesn’t know how to solve real problems! Missy and Georgie are the smartest.

Mary just came home and saw that Sheldon was upset, but didn't bother to think about why Missy was upset. Its like she didn't even register that her daughter was upset. Georgie wouldn't have gone off the road (probably) if he didn't have to be so independent. Have you ever seen Mary trying to have a conversation with Missy or Georgie? Its pathetic. And yes it is absolutely her fault if her kids don't feel they can confide in her, because she is the mom. She is supposed to be there for all of them, but she is only really there for Sheldon.
Only real problem I see with Maty freaking out over Sheldon being upset under George's watch is that she's forgetting how upset she's made him under her own situational handling in the past.
The irony is as soon as he died, Mary stopped functioning. Georgie has to be the adult. Apparently the only motivation for making decisions was to countermand HIM.
this is how it goes in a relationship 99 percent of the time. most women are children and the men have to be the parent. sad reality. this has always been a thing, and you know that saying, happy wife = happy life. what a load of ish. families would function alot better if women would do more listening instead of bossing around.
I’m the type of cynical to turn an episode off when the conflict first happens so in my head cannon nothing gets resolved and family falls apart. The end. I also watch movies like this too

You might just like the denim, flannel, and nondescript look of the 1990s more than the flashy, commercial clothes of the 2010s/2020s. I'm the same way. My closet is full of jeans, cargo pants, and plain shirts with one color each.

If you look at the total character behavior you could easily draw a conclusion that Mary is the catalyst for most of the family conflicts. Meaning well is not a good excuse for bad decisions.

That's common for one parent to favor one child over the other but Mary really upsets by favoring Sheldon over her other kids especially Missy
