Dude I love the videos but you are obviously against Flex. The latches aren’t hard to get open and you forgot to mention that they are recessed to fit you fingers in better. 😑 seems only 3D printers hate the Stack Pack because y’all can’t make money off them like Packout. I agree about connection but the handle doesn’t bother my sz XL hands. This series is bias. I’ve owned 2 Packouts. Bag, crate and ammo boxes before, never had Ridgid. Flex is Equal if not better because of accessories. Take away 3D printing and Packout could be = to Ridgid. Flex is what, a month old. Packout has been out for years. Ahh we’ll time will tell. I’d rather have the manufacturer make accessories than 3D non matching cheaper looking accessories.
Well I’m just disappointed in flex. On my Instagram I’ve heard lots of non 3D printers complain about the pricing and features. I know I’m slightly biased by tons of other reviewers that got these boxes for free say nothing negative. Also there is no warranty for flex accessories. I’ve talked some of the 3D printing guys and I know most of them stand by their products and care about the community
@@JakeWeihe the pricing is on point with Milwaukee. I think it would be a total rip off if they had feet so they went with latches. I think it’s the only flaw. I have almost every tool in the Stack and it feels sturdy. They have a few accessories I am hoping for. Organizer opening option is a bad. Stacking them together is easier and build quality is the same. When they release more boxes and drawers to compete I’d love to see another review. Stack Pack vac is coming I know for sure but the North American sales rep couldn’t tell me but so much. I trust his word since I’ve been getting info from him since way before they came to the US in the gray color 24v platform. They are Big Red over there.
You really can't go wrong with ridgid boxes, the price is great, wish they had more accessories. But still, I paid less than 200, for 2 big boxes and 2 medium boxes and 2 crates, 175.00. So really can't beat it.
Good video. One down side to the packout bins is that you have to configure the cups in specific ways so the lid closes. You can use 3 long bins in the compact organizer. I wish they could have been a bit more universal in the bin layout.
Wow Flex really is overpriced for its inconvenience. Packout def the smoothest. Had it before and sold it all. Recently got the Ridgid 2.0 for its price and really liking it. Whenever they come out with a drawer system they taking over.
I have the Ridgid. It is a very handy box. Pretty tough too. Had a lot of things fall in it and fell off some countertops several times and nothing has happened. Really liking it so far.
Really? It’s kind of useless I returned my half organizers. You can’t stack it on most of the boxes, and it’s the only half size thing they have, so if it’s not in the middle you need two of them. At which point you could just have a full organizer. Wish they’d come out with thin/low profile one like milwakee and dewalt. Those are insanely useful
No hate towards you though. I like the quality and presentation of the channel. I watch reviews on anything I buy or am interested in. Keep them coming
I have the Rigid set up. Some others are too bulky and the way you stack them is silly👎. You need to stack and unstack the boxes to go up stairs . Rigid are easy to stack and unstack . Im waiting on the drawer units so they will be even better to work out of .👍 When you go in and out of a customers home you need to keep them stacked to not have them scattered all across the customers home 🙄. Do these companies ever ask a trades person for their feedback or field test them??
Packout remains supreme. I picked up some stack pack boxes since they are currently on a huge sale, but I returned them because packout is just better in every way besides the gas struts in the larger boxes with flex.
Hey Jake love your videos. my packout organiser lid is broken.... the plastic is almost completely broken/chipped away along the hinge. is there any company that creates a replacement lid? Thanks in advance
Is there any other systems that lock together like Milwaukee and open successful when put together? Craftsman man tradestack and versa stack with adapter plate ?
@@JakeWeihe we might be talking about different things. I thought we were talking about the screw/small parts organizer, of which I owned (till it was stolen)
@@JakeWeihe yeah I wanted to get an extra orange small insert and had to chase down where to get any accessories for Rigids boxes, Rigid directed me to Keter, who is the actual makers of the boxes but Keter wanted 2 times the cost of just buying a whole other box for the orange insert. Not very pleased with the options, even though the boxes are stout.
My Dewalt tough system 2.0 was recently stolen. Including some of my 1.0 boxes. I’m back to using my 1.0 rolling box for the meantime. I’ve been considering flex and pack out, but the one thing I don’t like is that the wheels cut into the internal storage base of the box which makes me want to go back to the toughsystem 2.0 again. But having integrated storage for levels and hooks for strapping things down is really compelling.
@@JakeWeihe will do. But from what I know they only have the basic 3 or 4 boxes. I’m really interested in the drawers and would like to have a crate again
They make a crate. It’s technically 1.0 but evrything is compatible. I hope they come out with drawers soon. Could always make some on your own. I made some for Packout a while back
@@JakeWeihe hmm I didn’t see that. When I was at Lowe’s I only saw the 3 boxes and fan and the paper card didn’t show it either. Haven’t seen it on their website either.
@@christophercrawford2736 yeah right now ridgid 2.0 rolling box is my favorite right now. you can get just one set of wheels and have multiple large boxes to connect to and roll out of the truck/van depending on the situation. i like that a lot as well as the integrated munting system. packout mounting is an added expense.

Damn dude that's a steal. Paid 345 AU for the 3 boxes, wheels and crate. Not fussed. They are killer.
But nice score on your behalf

True. The ridgid and flex have minimal customization too
Would have been enough, if Milwaukee divided the middle long part in the lid into two smaller ones.
It was made by a genius and people will buy because they spend more $ advertising.

I'm unfamiliar with Jake's channel, but am impressed with the lid test. Smart idea to test.
Nice video I need 2 of that Ridgid small boxes
I picked up two for this review. They are nice and they stack very nicely on the same lid at the same time!

Did you contact Milwaukee tool? They should replace it
Awesome review. Great attention to detail!
Thanks! 👍🏻

The ridgid 1/2 box will not connect to the organizer. Only problem for me. I like ridgid best over all and for the price you can't beat it.
The ridgid half organizer won’t attach to any gen 1 boxes. They need to update the organizer to have the connection points in the middle
Black Friday Deal on the Harbor Freight ones right now - $7 in store.
I just picked one up lol. It’s a totally different class of quality tho
no contest.. once you use packout, there is nothing out there can complete
agreed
