    One thing nobody mentioned is the difficulty of the packout.
    WHEN the packout is loaded up “normal weight and use” the cleats want to catch on the front cleats making it difficult to lock them together.
    If they were smart the cleats towards the front should be a smaller size to prevent this.
    FLEX and Dewalt all you have to do is drop the container on top and it locks.
    Milwaukee is stuck though because if they changed the cleats everything prior would not work.

    The rubber feet on the flex is amazing. My idiot helpers never would consider rolling my boxes on client floors instead of sliding it. Thanks for making that idiot proof, Flex!

    You got a hell of a deal at that price! I worked for Lowes for 5 years.. a lot of those days of huge clearance discounts is gone. Other than on sale items, you’re pretty much looking at 10% off.

    Does the Milwaukee tray fit in the Flex box?
    I recently changed my DWST08204 (Dewalt DS400 XL) to the big Flex box (shown in your video) and the Flex has A LOT more storage space. Definitely worth the money, the only thing I wish it had was 2 trays, which is why I'm asking if the Milwaukee fits? (I can get those online)
    Thanks!

    So if you had that stackpack stacked tight next to each other in a van or something that’s gonna be pretty difficult to get your hand in there a pain to say the least. And because there’s only two contact points how would you do wall mounts? I Like some of the features on the flex but I completely disagree with you on the locking mechanism that was the dealbreaker for me only two contact points and despite what you say it really is a two hand operation I was playing around with them in Lowe’s and was kind of disappointed.

    @ultimatetoolreviews do u think the future in powertools is pouch cell batteries or these 36v 40v higher capacity battery platforms?

    • @UltimateToolReviews
      @UltimateToolReviews  Год назад +1

      I think we will see a 40v line from Milwaukee and Flex in the near future, unsure if the pouch cell or a different tech will take over but one will.

    • @kfs777
      @kfs777 Год назад +3

      Pouch type will likely become ubiquitous at some point in the future. The terminal arrangement allows for a more optimal/streamlined cell arrangement; it can be leveraged to further optimize charge/discharge efficiency. Here’s the rub, practically speaking. The entire industry is established on conventional lithium cells. It will take a long time to streamline manufacturing that’s pivoted towards pouch. Until that can be achieved at scale, the cost will be relatively high in comparison to the current industry standard. There’s a lot to be gained from a seemingly minor change, but scaled up implementation will take years - and that can only happen after they R&D the modified technology to the point that they’re happy enough with it to commit to it.

Also ..... the underside of the lid looks wrong. There should be a place in the center to attach a tic. Are you sure thats not a knockoff?
