Even the sounds of these locomotives evoke great memories. I see we are getting a class 45 *and* a class 40 coming to New Street on the 27th!
Meanwhile I did a trip on the Shakespeare Express from Stratford to Snow Hill and back yesterday. Incredible value at only £15 return. Even a cuppa was only £1:50 from the buffet car.
Oh you did the run to Stratford again Julian, well why not it was a nice day and to get a cuppa for that price on a train is a bit rare.
Oh yes I will have to do some planning for the class 37 40 and 45.

Lovely stuff. It was another good gala at this pretty line. The visiting 26 had some issues but luckily they got it going again.

Yes Brian you had a dull day on the Saturday but you had all day so you got more great action from the locos, it was a bit of a rush round trying to capture all the locos working in four hours but I did it.

A fantastic collection of classic diesels, the class 20 pairing was very authentic for the 1970s (ex works blue 20228 and scruffy green 20137)
