How to make an axle/wheel that can connect with PVC!

I've seen a lot of videos where people drill holes in PVC caps and pass a rod through it... I think that can work but it's not that sturdy so here's my solution.
The parts we use here are
1 x 36" 5/8" Steel Axle (you can also use a a hollow one)
2 x 5/8" shaft collars
1 x 18 or 20" x 3/4" Steel Tube (you can also use plastic if you want to save money)
2 x 3/4" Tees with Female Threading - you can also use PVC if you'd like
2 x 3/4" to .625 Cable Gland
2 x 10" wheels with 5/8" Bearings

This was very helpful and clever. A couple of questions-1 have you thought about how you could put bearings in the configuration and 2-any thoughts on how to attach the wheel for a live axle (a drive axle)? Thanks
